I've seen Sotomayor's apology framed as the "gracious" side of the court quietly exposing how the other side is mean and petty. Give me a break ...

Bleighv05 (believe05)'s avatar

The Sotomayor story makes me think of the question -- What are we not supposed to be seeing? What are they distracting us from? Otherwise - who cares?

Israel and Lebanon - I read Bibi's "conditions" and think he is a boy proving he can pee the farthest. Just compromise and end it. Too many people are dying for no reason at all.

And so it goes....and so it goes.

That would be how good people would behave. I don't believe Israeli leaders are good people, they have blood lust and are obsessed with "Greater Israel".

"Israel is left for last". They are nuclear. They are deeply embedded into numerous powerful nation states: USA, UK, Germany, most certainly China. So...unwinding Israel is the most critical last step - like disarming a global bomb.

Bleighv05 (believe05)'s avatar

Interesting -- I hadn't thought of unwinding Israel from all the countries it is embedded in. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that -- but I hadn't gotten there.

Thanks for that new tidbit. New ponderings.

Hi Gregory!

I agree with your doubt but I also keep in mind the highly unusual geographical distribution of U.S. forces deployed "around Iran" even before the current situation/crisis began...

As if there were more than a single core to this crisis, and each would need appropriate assets available 🤔🤔

I think we both see the usefulness of having USA heavily deployed at arms reach to both Iran and Israel. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. In this case Israel thinks we are it's big brother, and maybe we are. Or.... maybe we're there to keep things in check for all parties.

🇫🇷 TRUMPist de La Fayette 🇺🇸's avatar

“maybe we're there to keep things in check for all parties”

I think it is probably the best answer after we all saw how Russia and China both managed their own position without imposing any limit to President Trump's moves.

They're all guaranteeing no rogue actor will derail the whole situation beyond the boundaries they all have agree!

GregoryPravda's avatar

I mean... it's so glorious really. I think the Globalists tried to use Bible prophecy to hijack the world so its so beautiful that the Eagle and the Bear are working togethrr.

Hi Gregory!

Several of your comments on DS17 have become orphans since the comments you replied have been deleted…

See if you want to keep or to delete them 🤔😉

GregoryPravda's avatar

Yes, great addition as always. To me it all adds to inevitability of good outcome. To me, I dare actually dream of a coming Golden Age where there is finally a debt jubilee and the people of Earth are finally liberated from our very well organized oppressors. I dare to dream this after a lifetime of deception, oppression, theft, gaslighting, and "no way out". I had grown jaded, so jaded when Trump first ran I didn't see him as anything other than another of a long line of liars. But then he did strange inconsistent things. He was breaking their toys. Is he just mocking people like us? Maybe not... Then when Q dropped that's when it got real for me. And honestly I've been pretty comfortable (psychologically) since. Except the 2020 election... that disturbed me at first.

Anyway.... WAAAAAYYYYYY too many words to say "I agree!"

Bon jour!

🇫🇷 TRUMPist de La Fayette 🇺🇸's avatar

Thank you so much for your very kind words I do appreciate!🙏🏻👍🏻

You may have described the whole dream many / most of us here are sharing, and I'm deeply convinced this will imply all the countries throughout the World, each of them maybe at different paces and levels because they will ALL have to adapt to their new environment and neighborhood!

GregoryPravda's avatar

I'm not an insider so I don't know for sure. What I do know is that Iran used to be like USA, Russia was once USA's greatest Christian ally (up to the early 1900s). And Israel, the current land area, was promised by Britain to non Hebrew "Jews" in name only in 1917. So... USA having bases surrounding Iran is a two edged sword. 1) easier to invade Iran (supporting Israel). 2) easier to prevent nuclear missiles entering Iran (from Israel).

I don't really know how this ends or how much longer it will take. I can only hope it will be done before this term is over. 18 months essentially. That's pretty aggressive but Trump moves quickly.

🇫🇷 TRUMPist de La Fayette 🇺🇸's avatar

You could add a 3)

Maybe President Trump has another Special Discombobulator Weapon much more powerful than the one we heard of by Venezuelan guards ?

Or maybe most of the more powerful weapons which have been “sold” to Israel are equipped with any form of kill switch ? Don't forget the IDF is mainly equipped with American systems since decades and they use US components for their own products to ease their integration…

Hi Bleighv05 (believe05) !

I agree about the SC matter and I also look around to find out what should be concealed...

Regarding 🇮🇱 Israel 🇮🇱 and 🇱🇧Lebanon 🇱🇧, maybe the final sequence is just opening before our eyes AND just before a week-end (an usual pattern for President Trump's meaning moves ...)!

Thank you Badlands Brief Team and commenters!!!

I asked AI this morning about altruism; which it defined as "helping others without expectation of reward". It stated that as high as 75% of people are altruistic.

It then qualified its definition by appealing to the applied morality of the decision. So in essence it accepted the occurrences of altruism based on the actor's BELIEF that they were indeed altruistic. It closed its position by reminding me that even though the occurrence of monetary or safety concerns we're the predominant filters used for actions to be considered "altruistic", if "soft rewards" (my terms not its) were included they would dramatically reduce the percentage of "true altruism" (its term not mine).

The people on the "left" with whom I interact believe that they are doing good!

Which begs the question: Whose standards are they (we) using?

Burning Bright's avatar

I have long believed the baseline coding of the human being is Godly, which is to say, GOODly.

Only through subversion, division and engineering can we be pulled from the path.

Which means we can always pull ourselves back onto it.

HisGloriousVictory's avatar

I understand - and we are, by design (having been made in His Image and Likeness) intended for good.

I think what stood out to me in that source study was the implication that each person's standard of "good" was the basis for assessing altruism. It reminded me of the study that suggested that 65% of men believed they were above average when it came to their attractiveness to women...!?!

ALtab's avatar

This really stuck out as incredibly self-serving, ‘…altruism based on the actor's BELIEF…’. Is this like my truth vs your truth? My delusion vs your delusion? Thank you!! Great points!

HisGloriousVictory's avatar

I was a bit taken back by the “logic” that was used by AI - so I checked out the source study and found that (as it read to me) they were attempting to “exaggerate” the number of “selfless” people in their paper by using the broadest possible boundaries for “altruism” and only discovered the caveats when I dug a bit deeper into their methodology.

A case of too much time on my hands I guess…

Bleighv05 (believe05)'s avatar

It is good to question AI -- hopefully that will help AI to reason with further information......if that makes sense at all.

I have said that with enough questions, you could convince AI that green is a primary color.

So as we ask questions and dig - it causes the model to aggregate new data into their model. It is so smart and so dumb at the same time.

GregoryPravda's avatar

I'm very glad you checked into it's source. AI is only as good as the information it was trained on and it's newer models aren't granted much freedom to use inference.

I am seeing RICO GRANDE (ht CP) building across the entire country, with arrests, Investigations and Grand Juries... Coming Soon to a Theater near you:-)

And Trump 2.0 is dismantling the DS Rat Bastards all across to World with his "Wag the Dog" movies playing across every "war" theater... and as BB says "We have the better writers" so we always win the narrative. I am truly enjoying the daily surprises that we see when Trump 2.0 uses the old playbook to enact a new outcome. Glorious!

Have a great weekend...hurry back:-)

God Wins!

God Bless!!!

The writing of the 2025 Info War left a lot to be desired.

MUCH better season in 2026. Really compelling writing in the Iranian Knot :)

We still get the Badlands Blitz tomorrow to recap the "Wag the Dog" movies shown this week.

Burning Bright's avatar

I think Ghost and I delivered!

Bleighv05 (believe05)'s avatar

I like that -- Wag the Dog movies. So true.

We have President Trump pursuing peace [(MT 5:9) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.] contrasted with other political "leaders" [(MT 23: 4-7) 4They tie up heavy burdens(taxes0, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. 5They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long(they dress in fancy suits with expensive jewelry), 6and they love the place of honor at feasts (dining at the best restaurants and giving each other awards like Nobel prizes) and the best seats in the synagogues 7and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi (your honor, the honorable rep. fom blah blah blah) by others.

ALtab's avatar

….in other words, the Pharisees of our time?

Burning Bright's avatar

Which is why Donald Trump continues to make a mockery of these globalist awards, and why some of us use them as reverse indicators marking the underlying intent of the receiver, with Maria Corina Machada being exhibit A.

MAB4Liberty's avatar

Certainly the Sanhedrin, which included Pharisees and Saducees.

Bleighv05 (believe05)'s avatar

WOW!!! What a contrast.....

Thank you, truth-seekers for your tenacity! You are most appreciated

—-I suspect you’re correct, Ghost, ‘Trump is decoupling himself from the conflict while Bibi gears up to fight alone (?).’👀

—-Ashe, this actually elicited a chuckle, ‘Good thing they made up, or people might begin to think the court is divided on partisan ideological grounds.’

—-BB, too is very likely correct with his assessment of the various moves, ‘…I believe we’re getting the aftermath of a war economy without the war—at least, without the kind that consumes a generation in the trenches.’

—-I’m with Ashe on this one! ‘(Clearly, I am still firmly fixed on the Grand Rico Rug.)’

—-Hmmm…18 month extension of FISA. That’s interesting, given the levels of corruption at the highest levels and their resistance. Very interesting timing. Very interesting Iran and Venezuela. Connections???

—-I wonder what Victor Orbán’s role will be.

Burning Bright's avatar

The War Economy framing is really interesting to consider.

I think we're going to get the post-war Golden Age BOOM without the 'real' BOOMS to precede it.

Tom Richardson's avatar

BB and Ghost, are we witnessing yet another rug pull in Hungary? A change of leadership without a change in regime or policy? And what about Orban possibly being targeted as the next President of the EU?

Burning Bright's avatar

I think it's a reverse rug.

Magyar might be an Our Boy.

Many signs tracking in that direction.

JC's avatar

I commented last time, but the reasons for Orban's loss are not because his policies were opposed by the people, but because his party showed broad streaks of corruption that were not addressed and not tolerable to enough of the populace in otherwise bad economic times. Combine that of course with election fraud, presumably, on the basis of the Globalist crowd personalizing against Orban.

But, in actuality, Magyar's promise to the people amounts to "Orban but cleaner in association". He will disappoint the Eurocrats, not least because they CANNOT promise Hungary the energy supply it needs. Russia is a reality.

Not seeing any comments on Ukraine and the military-industrial complex, let's start: I don't perceive the Ukraine conflict in any way as fake, postured, or otherwise arranged. It started because Russia's interests were ignored, and the anger of the Atlanticists was and still is real and visceral at Russia checking their ambitions.

The Ukraine war has served to consume generations of left-over military supplies and several generations of men (mostly Ukrainian). It will finish this bonfire as the Globalists who virtue-performed love for refugees now turn on them and feed the males back to die. The females may stay to be reduced to sexual slavery, along with the children. It is all an enormous human sacrifice in the hope false gods will grant their desire for world domination.

Russians, after reacting with revulsion, have steeled themselves to once again take matters in hand and see things through. Completely. To ash and blood if necessary. Now: war prods innovation better than anything, because war puts the survival of a people and their civilization and treasure at risk. Thus, it is no big surprise to see enormous innovation come from Russians, Ukrainians (who are Russians, but rent-seeking), and everyone else who rightfully sees the chaos as opportunity.

And that extends to the US administration and Department of War, which finally has had enough of a wake-up call (perhaps prodded by the Great Iran Adventure) to put aside the toys of the last war planning and start thinking in less expeditionary terms. And the fact is that training, equipping and especially SUPPLYING human soldiers in modern war is very expensive and prone to suddenly ending in a bunch of blood and amputations and stuff that won't play well at home. Add that vanishingly few in the West want to volunteer for AI-powered industrial war, and the old MIC starts to look vulnerable to disruption. Very vulnerable.

Then consider that MIC consists of entrenched interests and corrupt networks deeply embedded in the same transnational clubs of back-scratching and reach-arounds (forgive me) that opposes Trump, and cutting THAT off at the financial knees starts to look strategic. Very strategic.

But the Ukraine war is unfortunately quite real, quite deadly, and quite managed to ensure Russia is not the one going broke. Remember: these are the guys who fought the Swedish superpower to death over 22 years (for only one example). If pacing looks like it would work better, they will pace.

SPASTIC EYE ROLL EPIDEMIC

Most muscle spasms, you can ease it with a hearty hand massages, ointments, or breakout the ole electronic thumpidy thump-thump, but getting spasm of the eyes from all the eye rolls we are subjected to is a whole different matter. The past 8–9 years, MSM, US Congress, Senate (uniparty), and occasionally SCOTUS have subjected the good people of commonsense to a daily dose of eye rolls or in other cases, the facepalm. When they slather it on thick, we know the bullshit is piled a mile high.

702, like clock work is making its rounds as it does every 2 to 4 years. 2015 to 2018, then representative Trey Gowdy, and Jason Cheffetz talked at lengths about the evils of 702 during the FBI lovebirds Peter Stzrok & Lisa Page, Comey, McCabe, Rybeki 702 FISA abuse oversight committee hearings, 87% sane Americans shaking their heads in disbelief, hearing about how FBI floor 7 went rogue with the 702 FISA court. The 87% American majority didn't need further convincing that 702 was BAD BAD BAD!

After all that was said, and done, all the evidence, testimonies, and metadata were presented, it wasn't hard to figure out Americans had a wool blanket pulled over their eyes when the US House and senate shoved the "Patriots Act" through legislation after 911. These hearing shed light on what Americans had blindly entrusted their lawmakers to act into law. Most had no idea, the meat, and potatoes of the Patriots Act, 702 FISA was baked into the pot roast our legislatures delegated to our un-elected bureaucratic employees, who we now know as the deep state, ...and the dumbass legislatures never read the entirety of the proposed law, ....and they PASSED it with bipartisan support of both houses.

While the 87% American majority sat with gaping mouth staring straight ahead, here comes a doozy. The same Oversight committee chairman Chaffetz, and the super 8 began with the usual admonishments of how the DOJ, FBI & legal counsels screwed POTUS Trump45, and the American majority royally while Comey, Stzrok, McCabe, and Sally Yates sat there with a mug look on their faces. Then the lectures of the misuse and abuse of 702, the FISA Courts, and the pee-pee dossier, then the gut punch; "702 is a necessary evil defense" came from both of, then top republican inquisitors Gowdy & Chaffetz. A week later, .....702 was renewed!!!

POTUS Trump45/47 speaking in support of 702, yeah, sure. Remember the "DO & DON'T" in our POTUS Trump kitty laser dot pointer lingo? Now watch what the Uniparty does, they will go with "Don't" and unravel what they had defended since 2001 or do a watered down version. TDS is a very serious illness a politician can get. But, 702 has been their pet peeve that they've held onto since its inception. Have a blessed week end frenz! NBK
