It's as if Trump showed Maduro how it's done...stepping away in 2021...coming back in 2025. Trump narratively speaking, of course, fell on the election fraud sword, and Maduro fell on the corruption story sword years later, allowing himself to be extracted. Ironically, US election fraud and Venezuelan fraud, (election manipulation software, money laundering, caravans of migrants invading the US, oil company execs involvement, etc.) have been intertwined from the very start. It seems the Devolution playbook and COG was a template passed to Maduro to enact. And Trump showed Maduro "how to dance"! Apparently, there had to be a lot of trust, or guarantees, between the two men to pull off this level of kayfabe and rug pull.

I agree but there's nothing wrong with Patriots calling for arrests as this pressure helps ensure results by gov and administration. Many are belittling and name calling fellow Patriots for calling for arrests - Clandestine called us "morons" and this sort of infighting needs to stop. Whether one knows the inside scoops or not, calling for arrests is never a bad thing. Keep up the good work.

When you read the map of the article on X brought by Wild Bill you easily understand HOW MUCH it's useful to center a map on a POLAR position which makes very obvious every asset of your "neighbors", friends as well as foes !
That's WHY watching the World 🌎 sliced in VERTICAL "hemispheres" (sections) makes the facts very VISUAL and easy to argue for !
Patagonia is both Western and Southern hemisphere. They are independent (orthogonal) axes -- North/South vs. East/West. North/South demarcated at the Equator; I'm not sure exactly where the East/West demarcation is -- the logical place (to my engineering mind) would be 0 and 180 degrees longitude; 180 is approximately (with a few jigs and jags) the International Date Line and 0 is the Greenwich (Prime) Meridian, which passes through London and Paris, more or less.

Part of the problem is that there are quite a few countries in Western Europe/Africa which might consider themselves part of the Eastern Hemisphere, but that are actually West of the Greenwich Meridian as the Brave comment notes. So where, in practice, the actual divide between Eastern and Western Hemispheres is considered to be, I don't know. The International Date Line, as I mention, jigs and jags so all of Russia and all of Alaska are in the Eastern and Western 'hemispheres' so to say.
And, there are also quite a few countries, in Africa and South America, which are on both sides of the equator -- Ecuador and Brazil, notably.
So, as always Feather, an interesting question, with an answer that is not quite as satisfying or simple as we'd like. Who designed this silly planet anyway??
Regarding the Greenland question and the stakes at play, I found out this very well documented and articulated article which puts useful information as well as historical and legal facts on the table:

He believed the law should make lying illegal. To me, it is like crying "Fire" in a crowded movie theater. That is considered to be not legal, so why is any other lie legal? I agree with John Adams. Freedom of speech pertains to truth. No one should be free to lie. But, Congress decided in 1801 that lying was just peachy. If you were damaged by a lie, you were free to sue for damages. But, that just made work for the lawyers.

Patagonia is both Western and Southern hemisphere. They are independent (orthogonal) axes -- North/South vs. East/West. North/South demarcated at the Equator; I'm not sure exactly where the East/West demarcation is -- the logical place (to my engineering mind) would be 0 and 180 degrees longitude; 180 is approximately (with a few jigs and jags) the International Date Line and 0 is the Greenwich (Prime) Meridian, which passes through London and Paris, more or less.

Part of the problem is that there are quite a few countries in Western Europe/Africa which might consider themselves part of the Eastern Hemisphere, but that are actually West of the Greenwich Meridian as the Brave comment notes. So where, in practice, the actual divide between Eastern and Western Hemispheres is considered to be, I don't know. The International Date Line, as I mention, jigs and jags so all of Russia and all of Alaska are in the Eastern and Western 'hemispheres' so to say.
And, there are also quite a few countries, in Africa and South America, which are on both sides of the equator -- Ecuador and Brazil, notably.
So, as always Feather, an interesting question, with an answer that is not quite as satisfying or simple as we'd like. Who designed this silly planet anyway??

The Greenlanders should be the ones to decide and from what I’ve read in other articles they favor their independence. I believe first and foremost they want their independence from Denmark but since about half of their economic support is from Denmark, it gives Trump negotiating power to make them part of the alliance with Trump’s vision of the western hemisphere. It seems to be tangled up with the whole NATO problem. NATO shouldn’t exist and ending it puts Greenland on different footing.

This goes back to 1801! In that year Thomas Jefferson set the stage for lying politicians to be exempt from prosecution. The Alien and Sedition Act of 1798 specifically made lying to hurt the government punishable by imprisonment or by fine. But, instead of testing this in the Supreme Court, Jefferson had his Congress vote to reverse the sedition part of this Act. This essentially made lying legal because it was specifically said that lying could not be penalized.
The first amendment doesn't say anything about false speech. John Adams thought it needed to be clarified because he was hurt badly in the 1800 election by rampant lies being told about him. He believed the law should make lying illegal. To me, it is like crying "Fire" in a crowded movie theater. That is considered to be not legal, so why is any other lie legal? I agree with John Adams. Freedom of speech pertains to truth. No one should be free to lie. But, Congress decided in 1801 that lying was just peachy. If you were damaged by a lie, you were free to sue for damages. But, that just made work for the lawyers.
