I am an American, born and raised here. I have a Bachelor's degree in English, my native language. I read much. Our legal system is so complex, and the language required to navigate it, is so tedious that I cannot read an article about a case and understand what point is being made or reported without interpretation. Is this what we are destined to live with?

I am reading the new book released October 10, “The Trojan Horse in the Catholic Church” by Fr Enoch, with a forward by Cardinal Müller. It is available on Amazon in paperback and on kindle. Jaw-dropping is not strong enough. We suspected much of this but the author combs through the history and the documents of the Synod gatherings in the last few years.
Truly a Trojan Horse - nearly all the way in. Shudder. Our marching orders must be to pray our little hearts out. We are talking rank heresy - and, dare we say it, evil.
I almost lost a friendship a couple weekends ago because I asserted that Roman Catholicism was hijacked by the Deceiver and it's an entire religion that's following Satan (but they don't realize it).
I am a serious Catholic who studied her way back into the Church 40+ years ago. The Lord touched me in a special way to jumpstart a re-examination of the faith of my childhood. I lived without faith for 15 years and well know how utterly desolate and sad it is to turn one's face away from God.
I love the Church as revealed in her sacraments, teachings, encyclicals, liturgy (TLM, Ad orientam NO, Ukrainian Catholic). We know holy priests who inspire us with their faith and their deep love of God. But all that matters is that we seek to love Him more deeply each day.
It stands to reason the Church will be attacked by satan, and she has been undergoing a full-scale barrage for decades now.
Popes, bishops, and priests come and go, but the fullness of the Church stands - perhaps even in an remnant state - but the gates of Hell shall not prevail. We are called to grow in knowledge, love, and service of God. The rewards are out of this world :^)
May the Lord bless us, protect us from evil, and bring us to life everlasting. Amen.
You're not alone. The very language of legalese was designed to separate from and obfuscate the truth and English is, truly, the most perfect language on Earth in which to bury it. I'm writing a book about this presently... from Hebrew to Greek to English and legalese. Double speak, changed definitions, and dual-defined words (Websters vs Black's Law). Our language is intentionally keeping us in the dark and is resulting in what we see today.

The first article about funding the military using special manipulation of our tax money seems very important to me. The President refers to our Constitution to justify his manipulation, but why is that necessary? The whole thing is confusing to me.
Our shutdown government is funding our “Mandatory Spending” and refusing to fund our “Discretionary Spending”. But the mandatory is defined to be Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. These are not even mentioned in the Constitution. What is demanded in the founding document is our national defense. So, how can our Congress refuse to pay our military while they gladly pay our retirees?
Am I the only one who sees the ridiculousness of this situation? How has America come to this Constitutional crisis in 2025, but our news media is oblivious. We truly have been duped into buying the crazy system that now defines our reality. America really needs a history lesson because our manipulation has been well documented all along the way along our road to serfdom. It isn’t like we weren’t warned, but here we are.
The government shutdown is showing us about our real problem. The problem is our government! Please note how insignificant the shutdown is in reality and who is being harmed. The truth is right in front of us if we merely open our eyes.
