Harris has secured enough Democratic delegate votes to become their party’s nominee, chair says
Vice President Kamala Harris has secured enough votes from delegates to become her party’s nominee for president, Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison said Friday.
The announcement was made before the online voting process ends on Monday, reflecting the breakneck speed of a campaign that is eager to maintain momentum after President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid and endorsed Harris as his successor less than two weeks ago.
Harris is poised to be the first woman of color at the top of a major party’s ticket, and she joined a call with supporters to say she is “honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee.”
“It’s not going to be easy. But we’re going to get this done,” she added. “As your future president, I know we are up to this fight.”
Harrison pledged that Democrats “will rally around Vice President Kamala Harris and demonstrate the strength of our party” during their convention in Chicago later this month. — AP News
Our Take: To ‘save democracy,’ Democrats have redefined it.
Here’s what that looks like for the Democrat Party in 2024:
(1) Kamala got the nod, likely because she was the only candidate that could keep the money in Biden’s coffers.
(2) No candidate challenged Harris’ entitlement nomination
(3) Reportedly, all Democrats united around Kamala — ignore all evidence to the contrary.
(4) Democrats are now gaslighting the nation that Kamala is popular.
So democratic.
Moreover, Democrats ‘still plan a state-by-state roll call’ — because it’s the traditional way that a nominee is chosen in ‘our democracy’ — yet, they openly admit that this nod to traditional democracy is ‘purely ceremonial.’
In other words, the outcome of the DNCC nominating election is already decided, and the actual vote is just ceremony to make people think any of this was democratic.

Defense Secretary Revokes Plea Deal for Accused Sept. 11 Plotters
Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III on Friday overruled the overseer of the war court at Guantánamo Bay and revoked a plea agreement reached earlier this week with the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and two alleged accomplices.
The Pentagon announced the decision with the release of a memorandum relieving the senior official at the Defense Department responsible for military commissions of her oversight of the capital case against Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and his alleged accomplices for the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York City, at the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field.
The overseer, retired Brig. Gen. Susan K. Escallier, signed a pretrial agreement on Wednesday with Mr. Mohammed, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi that exchanged guilty pleas for sentences of at most life in prison. In taking away the authority, Mr. Austin assumed direct oversight of the case and canceled the agreement, effectively reinstating it as a death-penalty case. He left Ms. Escallier in the role of oversight of Guantánamo’s other cases.
Because of the stakes involved, the “responsibility for such a decision should rest with me,” Mr. Austin said in an order released Friday night by the Pentagon.
“Effective immediately, in the exercise of my authority, I hereby withdraw from the three pretrial agreements that you signed on July 31, 2024.” — NYT

The mass psychological value of the 9/11 plea deal has already been weaponized by Donald Trump and patriots in the Mind War, as it allowed them to paint the current regime as "friendly" to some of the most notorious patsies (err ... terrorists) in American history, while letting the implication hang that there remains information in the possession of these terrorists that could lead us back along the trail of breadcrumbs to the true masterminds of the most infamous day of the current century.
As we discussed this week, most Anons have a pretty good idea of where that trail leads. We can suggest with confidence that Donald Trump and patriots like Ezra Cohen-Watnick know EXACTLY where it leads, and how many branches it has.

‘Stop bullshitting me’: Biden said to scold Netanyahu in call on truce-hostage deal
US President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “stop bullshitting me” during their phone conversation on Thursday, a report said Saturday evening.
Channel 12 news reported, without citing sources, that the outburst had come after Netanyahu told Biden that Israel was moving forward with negotiations on a hostages-for-ceasefire deal with Hamas and would soon send a delegation to resume talks.
Those talks have been ongoing for many months without results, and Biden has previously opined that Netanyahu has been intentionally stalling for internal political reasons.
At the end of Thursday’s conversation, Biden also reportedly said: “Don’t take the president for granted.” — Times of Israel

Security chiefs, negotiators, US all said blaming Netanyahu for tanking hostage talks
Senior officials, including Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF chief Herzi Halevi, were reported Saturday evening to have told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that his insistence on new terms will sabotage the ceasefire-hostage release deal currently under negotiation, prompting the premier to claim that it was Hamas, not he, who was introducing new demands.
Channel 12 news quoted both Halevi and Gallant as accusing Netanyahu of being well aware that the new conditions he is demanding, which have reportedly been included in an updated Israeli proposal, would doom the deal.
The new proposal is said to demand an inspection mechanism be put in place to ensure combatants are not able to move to the Strip’s north; see Israel remaining on the Gaza-Egypt border, known as the Philadelphi Corridor, during the first phase of the deal; and insist on Israel receiving a list of all living hostages Hamas will release as part of the deal.
None of those demands appeared in an Israeli proposal submitted on May 27, which was then publicly revealed by US President Joe Biden and is vehemently opposed by the premier’s far-right allies. — Times of Israel
Our Take: This is what I call "Trump's Gambit."
The idea that Trump has been maneuvering to politically isolate Bibi Netanyahu, both within Israeli politics, but also on the world stage.
It is my firm opinion that Netanyahu was one of the main reasons implementing Devolution was such a necessary step for Trump to take back in January 2021. The evidence for this can be found in the fact that, on January 15, 2021—in the final days of Trump's first term—Israeli ambassador Ron Dermer was able to infiltrate the State Department and use his contacts to secretly reverse the sanctions imposed on Israeli oligarch (and ally of Netanyahu) Dan Gertler, demonstrating that the Deep State (and Israel) still had considerable control over the bureaucracy of the federal government, meaning a civil war could have very easily broken out, destabilizing the country.
The other element to suggest Trump needed to walk away was Netanyahu's phone call to Biden, congratulating him on defeating Trump. This was the first phone call received from any foreign leader, triggering a cascade of support from both the media and international community. It became very clear that the Deep State still had many friends in powerful places around the world, and had a civil war broken out, the Globalist Hegemony would have been empowered to place its thumb on the scale, potentially resulting in foreign troops deployed on US soil.
So Trump employed a strategic retreat, allowing his enemies to occupy a position that he had already booby-trapped with plenty of surprises, which we have watched play out over the past 3-1/2 years.
These two articles also affirm two theories that I have recently presented on The Brief.
Last week, I speculated the potential messaging Trump may have given Netanyahu when he visited Mar-a-Lago in their high profile meeting. Whatever the specific rhetoric utilized, I felt that "accelerationism" seemed like the logical play. (Whether Trump encouraged Bibi to strike now, or warned him to wrap it up ASAP, is less important.)
I also have presented the internal dynamic of Netanyahu's cabinet, as he has been forced to make allies of very radical zealots, after Trump seems to have courted centrists like Benny Gantz and turned them against Netanyahu.
These zealots—protege of the Christian-hating Lehava movement—control three of the six seats in Netanyahu's security cabinet, meaning they can resign and dissolve the government at any moment they choose. These ministers—Itamar Ben-Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, and Israel Katz—have been threatening to do this for months, if Netanyahu stopped the war; which is why I have asserted that Netanyahu will subvert or sabotage every hostage/ceasefire deal put on the table, as Israeli security and military officials are now disclosing.
Last week, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz demanded that NATO expel Turkey from its organization, after Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan threatened to invade Israel. Erdogan has been making these provocative threats ever since October 7, while also supplying Israel with the fuel and resources it needs to wage war, so I take it all as political posturing. But the fact remains that Putin and Xi have succeeded in luring Erdogan to attend BRICS and SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) meetings, while Trump gave his full endorsement of Erdogan back in 2019, describing himself as a "big fan" of the Turkish leader.
Then there are these recent comments from Colonel Douglas Macgregor, which lead me to believe that the possibility of an actual war crime tribunal for Netanyahu and his allies is very real, making this situation even more dangerous and existential than previously asserted.
I told everybody back on October 7 to defect from the religious aspect of this conflict, so we could all evaluate these developments with some objectivity. But I now must also assert that the Sanhedrin has returned to the Holy Land, and the modern-day Pharisees—who seem to have an even greater hatred of Christians than those of Biblical times, when they orchestrated the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth—hold the political leash of Netanyahu. They are the ones driving the bus, making this geopolitical conflict Biblical in its nature. —
Trump Agrees To Debate Kamala Harris On Fox News With "Full Arena Audience"
Let's get ready to rumble.
US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump announced late Friday that he will debate Democratic US Vice President Kamala Harris in early September, with Fox News set to host the debate event in Pennsylvania.
"I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest," Trump wrote on social media platform Truth Social.
Trump noted, "The FoxNews Debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a site in an area to be determined. The Moderators of the Debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, and the Rules will be similar to the Rules of my Debate with Sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his Party – BUT WITH A FULL ARENA AUDIENCE!…."
Trump continued, "….As everyone knows, the Democrats have Unconstitutionally taken a Candidate, who was acknowledged to be defeated, and unceremoniously replaced him with a new Candidate. This has never been done before, and is a Threat to Democracy, but I am totally prepared to accept the results of this "coup," and replace Joe on the Debate stage with Crazy Kamala Harris."
"I spent Hundreds of Millions of Dollars, Time, and Effort fighting Joe, and when I won the Debate, they threw a new Candidate into the ring. Not fair, but it is what it is! Nevertheless, different Candidate or not, their bad Policies are the same, and this will be strongly revealed at the September 4th Debate," the former president said.
He ended, "I look forward to meeting and debating Kamala Harris on Sept. 4. This date is convenient and appropriate in that it is just prior to the September 6th start of Early Voting in the 2024 Presidential Election. Our Take: If Kamala Harris wasn't so believably, genuinely stupid, the glee with which her campaign has taken every bit of cheese Donald Trump has laid out for them would beggar belief.
So, let's run down a few of the traps the establishment has been baited into in the last few days alone:
1) Obama's Mama. This is one my friend
has been discussing, and it holds. By resurfacing the Birth Certificate debate, Trump has masterfully brought Barack Obama back into the story cycle along with presidential eligibility.2) She Ain't Black. The establishment knows "everything woke turns to shit" and "woke/broke" dominate the current zeitgeist. They've been trying to distance themselves from this sort of divisive branding, but all it took was one exchange on stage with a bunch of blacktivists for Trump to get them to commit whole hog to their own engineered race divide.
3) DeBait. Kamala can't perform on camera unless she's on her knees trying to earn funding. It'll be a slaughter. —
Report reveals Biden’s confusion over Gershkovich release, suggests Blinken led negotiations
The Wall Street Journal's report on the negotiations for Evan Gershkovich's release from Russian prison reveals troubling details about Joe Biden's role in the process. According to the report, Biden nearly botched the prisoner exchange due to a lack of understanding of the situation, strongly suggesting that Secretary of State Antony Blinken is actually running the show.
The report describes an encounter at the White House Correspondents' Dinner where Gershkovich's mother, Ella, approached Biden to urge him to call German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. She was instructed by Roger Carstens, the special presidential envoy for hostage affairs, to make this request. Biden, in response, claimed he had already made the call, but Blinken corrected him, saying they would make it. Biden later sent a formal letter to Scholz, which was necessary to advance the deal.
Mainstream journalists like CNN's Edward-Isaac Dovere have portrayed this moment as a demonstration of Biden's exceptional energy and diplomatic prowess. However, a neutral interpretation reveals a different story. The scene depicts the mother of an American prisoner in Russia waiting in a handshake line to deliver a message from Biden's own hostage negotiator. When she asks Biden to call the German chancellor, Biden wrongly claims he has already done so. Blinken then subtly corrects him, indicating that Biden is mistaken. Ultimately, Biden does not make the call; instead, a letter with his signature is sent.
The incident raises questions about Biden's grasp of the situation and who is truly managing U.S. diplomatic efforts and running the country. — Badlands News
Our Take: The hostage release is a strange one that vanished from headlines pretty quickly.
From the beginning of the story, when the news broke that Whelan and Gershkovich were coming home, the White House was portrayed by the media as confused and caught unaware.
Then there’s this: ‘The incident raises questions about Biden's grasp of the situation and who is truly managing U.S. diplomatic efforts and running the country.’
How is this not a national crisis? Also, what a horrible experience for the hostage’s mother. This reminds of scrotus checking his watch instead of showing respect to the brave men who died on that watch.
It’s past time to admit that the ‘Biden-led’ government is acting in opposition to American interests. Can anyone actually be held accountable since they’re pretending Biden is in charge? —
AP review of Venezuela opposition-provided vote tallies casts doubt on government’s election results
An AP analysis of vote tally sheets released Friday by Venezuela’s main opposition indicates that their candidate won significantly more votes in Sunday’s election than the government has claimed, casting serious doubt on the official declaration that President Nicolás Maduro won.
The AP processed almost 24,000 images of tally sheets, representing the results from 79% of voting machines. Each sheet encoded vote counts in QR codes, which the AP programmatically decoded and analyzed, resulting in tabulations of 10.26 million votes.
According to the calculations, the opposition’s Edmundo González received 6.89 million votes, nearly half a million more than the government says Maduro won with. The tabulations also show Maduro received 3.13 million votes from the tally sheets released.
By comparison, updated results from the governmental National Electoral Council made public Friday said that based on 96.87% of tally sheets, Maduro had 6.4 million votes and Gonzalez 5.3 million. National Electoral Council President Elvis Amoroso attributed the delay in updating results to “massive attacks” on the “technological infrastructure.” — AP News

Venezuelan elections being fraudulent and globalists attempting to force regime change for their benefit are not mutually exclusive positions.
Now, IF they are not mutually exclusive, what are the implications of both not only being possible, but probable?
Well, if we game that out, we see the following Bicameral forming in the Collective (and international) Mind:
1) Widespread, bipartisan and systemic endorsement of the idea that SOME very major elections are obviously rigged, along with the requisite exposures of whatever companies, technologies and NGOs are involved with said rigging, PLUS an implied history of how far back it goes. Loss of Narrative.
2) The fact that this forced regime change has been thwarted for the time being, while being publicly opposed by members of the BRICS nations, the Sovereign Alliance & the emerging multipolar world implies a Loss of Actual control.

Ukraine reproached again for supporting ‘terrorism’
The Foreign Ministry of Burkina Faso has called Ukraine out for praising a terrorist attack on Malian servicemen and Russian military contractors last month. The ministry said Kiev should not go against the entire global community, which unanimously condemns terrorism.
A military convoy carrying members of the Russian private military company Wagner Group and Malian soldiers was attacked by insurgents in Mali in late July, killing dozens. Earlier this week, a spokesman for Ukraine’s GUR military intelligence agency, Andrey Yusov, boasted that his agents had helped plan the attack “against Russian war criminals” and vowed that “there will be more” similar actions to come. Ukraine’s embassy in Senegal shared Yusov’s interview on its Facebook page, with Ambassador Yury Pivovarov’s caption on the post also signaling further acts targeting Wagner. The video was later deleted.
Burkina Faso, which has also been plagued by insurgents, viewed Pivovarov’s words as justification of terrorism, and called on the global community to take Ukraine to task over its “subversive actions that threaten the stability of the continent.”
The ministry added that Ukraine should refrain from interfering in other states’ internal affairs and “come to its senses” with its stance on terrorism. — RT

Well isn't this interesting? Ukraine is being called out for funding terrorism in... Africa???
The allegations do track; a few weeks ago, a video emerged online of a radical jihadi terrorist group surveying a field full of military-clad corpses—purportedly the aftermath of a gun fight. The dead soldiers were identified as members of the Putin-affiliated Wagner Group, and during the clip, one of the Wagner Group soldiers—who had been pretending to be dead—leaps to his feet and attacks one of the jihadi terrorists with a rock, before being killed.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Senegal:
“The Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs was surprised to learn of the publication on the Facebook* page of the Ukrainian Embassy in Dakar of a propaganda video of the Ukrainian army, accompanied by a comment by the Ukrainian Ambassador himself, who expressed unequivocal support for the terrorist attack, perpetrated between 25 and 27 July 2024 in northern Mali by Tuareg rebels and members of the Support Group for Islam and Muslims (JNIM) against the Armed Forces of Mali (FAMA), which resulted in significant civilian casualties,” the ministry said in a communiqué."
So I guess we now know where at least some of the money that we are sending to Ukraine is going... to fund Al Qaeda and ISIS-linked terror in Africa.
Don't kid yourself: This is World War III; It has already begun. The war between the East (Russia) and the West (NATO) is being waged by proxy groups, including Wagner and ISIS, and US taxpayers are funding it.

Burkina Faso is led by army captain Ibrahim Traore. After successfully overthrowing (with the help of Wagner Group) the country's military junta in 2022—who had overthrown the previous government just 8 months earlier—Traore became the youngest national leader in the world at 34. Since then, he has allied himself with President Putin, who has taken him under his wing and given support and resources to fend off NATO and the blood-sucking globalist oligarchs.
Just yesterday, Traore announced that Burkina's gold would no longer be exported to be processed. It would remain in country, and be used to back their national currency, following in the footsteps of Putin and Russia.
Back in May, Traore announced that he would be reducing the salaries of all politicians and ministers by 30%, and increasing the salaries of regular workers by 50%. As president, he does not take a salary, following in the footsteps of President Donald Trump.
Last year, Traore said, “My generation does not understand this: how can Africa, which has so much wealth, become the poorest continent in the world today? And why African leaders travel the world to beg."
It's no wonder that Africa is rising. Hopefully, this guy is what he appears to be, and Putin is helping him, and others, become leaders that will transform the continent into a legitimate world power. —
Can spacing out gas stations boost walkability in your neighborhood? City Council wants to find out
Along Evans Avenue in South Denver is a one-mile stretch that is home to nine gas stations.
It’s the kind of development city leaders are trying to prevent in the future.
A group of City Councilmembers are working on a bill that would restrict where developers can build new gas stations.
They’re touting it as a housing measure, one that favors new housing, neighborhood walkability and local businesses over gas stations built specifically for cars.
“What our residents have said is, ‘We want to see housing. We want to see small businesses. We want to see coffee shops where we can go hang out with our friends that we can walk to down the street from our house,’” said Councilmember Amanda Sawyer, one of the co-sponsors behind the bill along with Councilmembers Diana Romero Campbell and Paul Kashmann. “Nowhere in any of that feedback did we hear from people, ‘We want more gas stations.’” — Denverite
Our Take: Private auto ownership will soon be widely considered immoral, and eventually outlawed.
They’re laying the foundation now. Ride share. Normalizing the limitations of EVs. Spacing out gas stations to “boost walkability.” (See linked article)
Ending private auto ownership is the goal.
“Each according to his needs.” Drooling communists think all their wants are needs. The State views “needs” very differently. Equal misery. Equity in action.
This is Kamala Harris’ platform. She uses this terminology. Her vision is that of Marx and Mao. And this will be true of any puppet the regime attempts to replace her with, recognizing that the mockingbirds really want us to believe she’s the one (see my other take in today’s Brief).
It doesn’t matter who heads the ticket, the agenda will not change. The regime has a vision and plan.
In November, I suspect the regime will try to convince us that voters trust the plan. —

Jittery Israel Braces For 'Five Front' War As Officials Predict Iran To Attack Monday
This weekend has continue to see limited exchanges of fire involving Hezbollah along Israel's northern border, but the jittery wait persists with Israelis heading into a new work week with the expected big Iranian retaliation immediately on the horizon for the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last Wednesday.
Many international airlines have already suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut in anticipation for a wider conflict. In a fresh weekend speech, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has presented a scenario of Israel already finding itself in a multi-front war. "We are striking every one of its arms with great force. We are prepared for any scenario — both offensively and defensively," he told his weekly cabinet meeting. He said in the Sunday remarks that Israel is "in a multi-front war against Iran’s evil axis."
"I reiterate and tell our enemies: We will respond and we will exact a heavy price for any act of aggression against us, from whatever quarter," he added.
This time it's expected that Hezbollah could play a bigger role in any Iranian retaliation (compared to the first ballistic missile and drone attack of April 13). Israeli officials have also expressed concern for the many citizens traveling and working abroad - as they too could be targets of an Iranian reprisal attack or terrorist act.
The NY Times observed, "For Israel, the travel disruptions added to the sense that it was no longer in control of its own fate and had no clear plan for quieting its many conflicts." — ZeroHedge
Japan’s Nikkei 225 index plunges 7% as world markets tremble over risks to the US economy
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 stock index plunged as much as 7.1% early Monday before recovering some lost ground, extending sell-offs that shook world markets last week.
At one point, the Nikkei shed more than 2,500 points. By midday Tokyo time, the index was down 6.4%, or about 2,300 points, at 33,620.99.
The market’s broader TOPIX index fell as much as 7.8% before recovering to trade down 6.2%.
A report showing hiring by U.S. employers slowed last month by much more than expected has convulsed financial markets, vanquishing the euphoria that had taken the Nikkei to all-times highs of over 42,000 in recent weeks. — AP News

I agree with Joe. The news is almost too much to keep up with, and I have to remind myself to limit what I spend time reading. That's why I love Badlands News Brief, for me it's one stop shopping! I believe the next six months will shed light on everything from election fraud to bad guy reveals, in particular Israel, Ukraine and Venezuela. I was ignoring the Israel conflict because it's like a forever war but after reading Laura Sangers book I understand where Zionism originated and I'm fascinated for how this plays out. The DS is going to try everything they can to get WWIII going but I truly believe they will ultimately fail. I'm only believing what I can verify myself because this is an information war. Thanks so much Badlands Media for your commitment to truth!
It is amazing how we see more and more evidence that the DS Rat Bastards are losing (or have lost) control. "Wag the Dog (HT Story Hour Ep #28)" is still the best explanation of how the mind game is played.
All these great Takes and what could be the biggest stories of the year (financial collapse starting with the Japan Stock Market) and WW3 (Iran vs Israel) are side notes.
