"This Is Personal": McCarthy Hits Back After Gaetz Removal Threat
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Sunday responded to a threat by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to oust him from the Speakershp, telling CBS News' "Face The Nation" that it's "personal" for the Florida lawmaker.
"That’s nothing new, he’s tried to do that from the moment I ran for office," said McCarthy, adding "I’ll survive, you know this is personal with Matt."
"Matt voted against the most conservative bill to protect our border…secure border," McCarthy continued.
Gaetz, meanwhile, hopped on ABC's "This Week" to say that McCarthy will get his wish, and that he's going to file a motion this week to vacate him as speaker. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “It’s being reported that Speaker McCarthy cut a Ukraine funding deal with democrats but didn’t tell his own caucus about it until the 45-day CR had already passed the House. If true, I’m with Gaetz and Kevin has to go.
We all watched the Speaker election back in January when Gaetz and 20 others in the House went 15 rounds to secure more sound House rules and procedures for the 118th Congress. A big part of the negotiation was the elimination of omnibus bills and continuing resolutions — and McCarthy agreed, which is how he ended up with the votes for the gavel.
From what we witnessed this weekend, McCarthy broke the agreement — and the House rules — and proved that the machine will do whatever it takes to get whatever it wants: More billions for Ukraine, in this instance.
I’m with Gaetz. This not the first time McCarthy stabbed his own caucus in the back. Funny, it also happened the last time political hysteria peaked over a government shut down.” —
Another (Quick) Take: “Gaetz vs. McCarthy is perhaps the most obvious bit of Kayfabe at work in the Info War. BOTH men are Donald Trump's choices, one for Speaker and the other for opposition TO that Speaker.
The 'Biden Admin' is all about Exposure, and it's going swimmingly.” —
RFK Jr plans to announce independent run for president: report
Robert F Kennedy Jr, who launched his campaign for the Democrat presidential nomination in April, reportedly has plans to announce a run as an independent candidate.
According to Mediaite, Kennedy plans to make the announcement on October 9 in Philadelphia, with a text message viewed by the outlet stating that his campaign is planning "attack ads" against the Democrat National Committee to "pave the way" for his announcement.
"Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go," a Kennedy campaign insider told the outlet.
On Saturday, the New York Times published a piece stating that Kennedy met with Libertarian Party chair Angela McArdle in July, at a Memphis conference.
"He emphasized that he was committed to running as a Democrat but said that he considered himself very libertarian," McArdle said, adding that "We’re aligned on a lot of issues," including the threat of the "deep state."
"My perspective is that we are going to stay in touch in case he does decide to run," Ms. McArdle said. "And he can contact me at any time if that’s the case."
"It would be very bad" if Kennedy runs as a Libertarian, said Matt Bennett, a co-founder of Third Way, a Democrat group helping coordinate efforts to stop the No Labels group who is also trying to run a third-party ticket. — The Post Millennial
Our Take: “The Democrats have gone so far left that even RFK Jr wants nothing more to do with them.
You may recall the Badlands Brief a couple weeks back when I highlighted the Democrat Politicians switching party while being in the midst of an active term of office. RFK Jr signals a significant piece of the puzzle that has now left the Democrat party behind as, according to reports, RFK Jr will make his run for President as an Independent - not a Democrat.
Insofar as public perception and narratives go, this is huge. He is the biggest name as of yet to leave the Democrat Party, save for maybe Tulsi Gabbard. At some point, this mass exodus from the DNC is going to reflect in the populace and at the polls in 2024.” —
Another Take: “I often say that my favorite bits of Narrative Seeding by the Media Industrial Complex are the ones that are true ... if you flip the framing.
Many in this community have been speculating that Kennedy is in prime position to threaten the Democratic Party in a way nobody has before him; while many (myself included,) believed he would do so by being cheated out of the Dem nomination in 2024, an Independent run cuts the legs out from under that potential Deep State Deployment.
What's more tantalizing to consider, however, is that the MSM is correct in their framing that Kennedy's move could 'complicate' the Trump-Biden contest in 2024.
Imagine a 2024 election cycle in which the DNC and the RNC have Establishment candidates running (say, Biden vs. Vivek, for the sake of argument,) while the two populist candidates (Trump and Kennedy) suck all of the oxygen out of the room.
We're watching the controlled demolition of the Establishment System, which includes the two-party system.
Comfy.” —
Supreme Court Has Pile of Cases From Conservative 5th Circuit
The US Supreme Court opens a new term on Monday thinking about where its conservative revolution should go next. One federal appeals court already has lots of ideas.
In the next nine months, an outsize share of the high court’s biggest cases will come from the ultraconservative 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals, whose far-reaching rulings are proving impossible for the Supreme Court to ignore. Cases involving federal regulatory power, guns and probably abortion and social media regulation will test just how far the Supreme Court’s conservative majority wants to go in remaking the nation’s legal landscape.
The justices have already announced they will take up a 5th Circuit decision that declared the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s funding system unconstitutional, another that rejected the Securities and Exchange Commission’s use of in-house judges and a third that said people subject to a domestic violence restraining order retain a constitutional right to carry a gun. In the coming weeks, the high court may also agree to review 5th Circuit rulings letting Texas regulate content moderation decisions by social media companies, limiting access to a commonly used abortion pill and tossing out the federal ban on bump stocks, the devices that convert semiautomatic rifles into machine guns. — Bloomberg
Our Take: “I often say that winning is all around us, if you have the eyes to see it.
The truth is, you have to train yourself to look for these wins, as the engineered (by both sides) chaos of the Info War is purposefully designed to provoke emotional reactions from the Collective Mind, as one side attempts to terrify it into paralysis, while the other attempts to provoke it into progress.
Amidst the noise of a looming Government Shutdown, Biden Impeachment Hearings and revelation after revelation as to the corruption inherent in the Establishment Uniparty, when the Supreme Court next returns to session, they will be considering a rash of cases from the most Conservative, pro-Trump circuit in the nation.
These cases could include everything from 2nd Amendment protections to anti-abortion enforcement powers and anti-censorship directives against social media conglomerates.
These decisions may not be read until spring, but either way, I have a feeling we'll like how many of them go ...” —
MTG calls on DOJ to prosecute Jamaal Bowman using same law used to imprison J6ers
Not long after Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was caught pulling a fire alarm at the House office building as part of an effort to delay a vote on a Republican-backed stopgap spending bill, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) issued a call for the Department of Justice to prosecute the far-left representative under the same laws it used to lock up defendants who were involved with the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
"Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm in the Cannon building this afternoon and interrupted the official proceedings of the House as Republicans worked to keep the government open," Greene wrote on X. "I’m calling on the DOJ to prosecute him using the same law they used to prosecute J6 defendants for interfering with an official proceeding."
"The Democrats literally will do anything to shut OUR government down because billions aren’t going to their favorite country: Ukraine," added Greene. — The Post Millennial
Our Take: “After last week’s hearing on the Biden impeachment inquiry shined a spotlight on Democrat hypocrisy, Rep Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) really drove the matter home. He pulled the fire alarm in the Cannon building to delay the vote on funding the government.
In other words, he interfered with and obstructed an official proceeding — and he was caught on video doing it.
The event immediately went viral, with Rep George Santos (R-NY) filming a PSA on fire alarms, and X users circulating Bowman posts from January 2021 where he cried about the impact of obstructing an official proceeding. The memes were lit as well.
According to Axios Capitol Hill reporter Juliegrace Brufka (via X), Bowman told reporters, ‘I thought the alarm would open the door,’ adding that Bowman said Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) ‘understood that it was a mistake.’ This unbelievable excuse was confirmed by a statement issued by Bowman Saturday night.
It didn’t take long for House Republicans to call for expulsion and prosecution, with Rep Nicole Malliotaki (R-NY) promising to introduce legislation to expel Bowman and Rep Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) pointing out that Bowman was in violation of a favorite J6 persecution law.
On Sunday, Trump called Bowman’s actions egregious. As of Sunday evening, it’s being reported that Bowman is under investigation.
The hypocrisy chaser is a strong one for democrats.” —
Blinken: China Is The Number One Threat To US-Led 'Liberal World Order'
Washington has been sinking billions of dollars into the Ukraine conflict, in the name of defeating and 'weakening' Russia, and yet Secretary of State Antony Blinken this week highlighted China as the real "threat" to the US and the 'liberal world order'.
Biden's top diplomat was interviewed by The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, who asked among other things whether Russia or China is a bigger "threat" to the United States. Blinken responded by saying China has a "much greater ability certainly than Russia to try to shape what the international system looks like."
In reference to China, Blinken answered: "I think they want a world order, but the world order that they seek is profoundly illiberal in nature; ours is liberal with a small ‘L.’ And that’s the fundamental difference."
On the question of what motivates China, Blinken said, "I think that what it seeks is to be the dominant power in the world militarily, economically, diplomatically." — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “The Establishment 'turn' on 'Communist China' may seem incongruent with their previous cozying up to the CCP, from Clinton through Obama, but when you consider the Sovereign Alliance theory and, pulling back a bit, the undeniable emergence of a new, multi-polar world order led by China and Russia, it makes all the sense in the world.
As
often says, every nation on earth has an 'evil twin,' and has been infiltrated and, in some respects controlled to varying degrees by the same subversive communist criminal cabal we're waging this Info War Against. The powers that would be have grown wise to the Sovereign Alliance; it's unlikely they JUST figured out Xi Jinping is working against their interests, but perhaps they thought they had more control in China than they actually do ... which might mirror how they're starting to feel in the West.
The turn on 'communism' comes far too late in the game, for [them.]
The mask came off when they forced everyone else to put one on.” —
Trump says he’ll appear at civil fraud trial in New York on Monday
Former President Donald Trump said he will go to court in New York for his civil fraud trial on Monday.
“I’m going to Court tomorrow morning to fight for my name and reputation,” he posted on Truth Social Sunday evening.
Trump had been expected to attend, and law enforcement and court employees had already been making security preparations for his potential appearance at the courthouse in Lower Manhattan on Monday and possibly Tuesday.
Trump’s plans started to become clear after a federal judge in Florida granted his request to postpone a deposition in a separate case because it would conflict with the start of the New York trial.
The former president will fly to New York City on Sunday evening following a campaign event in Ottumwa, Iowa, and will spend the night at Trump Tower in Manhattan, three sources familiar with his schedule said.
The civil fraud case – brought in September 2022 by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Trump, his eldest sons, their companies and several executives – will begin at 10 a.m. Monday. — CNN
Our Take: “The walls are closing in on Donald Trump!
Except, Biden's the one on trial, both in Congress and in the Court of Public Opinion, which, as many in this community wisely point out, is the highest court in the land.
The verdict is going to take its time in coming in, but you don't need a Magic 8 ball to guess its direction ...
And the Media Industrial Complex, Establishment politicians and shills on both sides of the illusory aisle are going to go all in in some combination of the defense of the Biden Crime Family, the Uniparty Establishment and the Deep State.
The beauty of it is, we don't really need the Collective Mind to engage with any of these topics as deeply as we do. We simply need them to observe the general state of the nation, the state of the world, and the state of culture, and trace its strings to those ostensibly in control right now.
And then ask themselves if they want that to continue ...
Obama promised us 'Hope and Change.' Donald Trump is going to bring it.” —

So in 44 days, we have to redo the budget battle. Our Military housing and barracks are falling apart, no camo uniforms for our troops, low on ammo. The F35B only flies 50% of the time, due to parts shortages and repair techs. The Military always did their own. The Commissary has the same food shortages as the rest of America. Gas is higher, the Exchange has outrageous prices. ENLISTED MESSAGE- SIGN UP FOR SNAP AND WIC. More important to learn pronouns than to fight a war. My dad a WW2 Vet is rolling over in his grave. Yet Ukraine being armed is more important.
Remove McCarthy he is incompetent. And no backbone. Didn't want him in the first place.
Enjoyed todays Takes.
