Now, onto the news from Wednesday, August 14 …
WHO declares mpox outbreak a global health emergency
The World Health Organization on Wednesday declared the ongoing mpox outbreak in Africa a global health emergency.
WHO convened its emergency committee amid concerns that a deadlier strain of the virus, clade Ib, had reached four previously unaffected countries in Africa. This strain had previously been contained to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The independent experts met virtually Wednesday to advise WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on the severity of the outbreak. After that consultation, he announced that he had declared a public health emergency of international concern — the highest level of alarm under international health law.
“The detection and rapid spread of a new clade of mpox in eastern DRC, its detection in neighboring countries that had not previously reported mpox and the potential for further spread within Africa and beyond is very worrying,” he said.
“The emergency committee met and advised me that the situation constitutes a public health emergency of international concern. I have accepted that advice.” — CNN
Our Take: MonkeyPox is back, with a new name and amped up fear porn.
‘Since the beginning of this year, more than 17,000 mpox cases’ have been found in Africa. Yes, that’s really the number we’re being given by Tedros and the WHO’s African contagion tracking people.
These not-at-all-credible global medical authorities really want us concerned. Tedros says we’re dealing with two clades — broad groups of viruses that have evolved over decades.
One of those clades is super transmissible and results in severe disease according to the guy that was wrong about everything (but highly effective at spreading tyranny) during COVID.
‘It’s clear that a coordinated international response is essential to stop these outbreaks and save lives,’ Tedros said Wednesday. My response to this call from Tedros is two-fold:
(1) No.
(2) What the hell are you planning on doing to the people in Africa (again)?
I wonder if our MonkeyPox reboot in the US will come before or after Election Day? Oh, who am I kidding? It will be next June. —
The DNC as a Super Spreader Event
So, this isn’t so much a news item as a fascinating potential nugget unearthed by friend of Badlands Julians Rum, who was prompted to resurface a Q drop from 2020 regarding a last-minute change to the D Convention (ostensibly under the guise of Covid-19 measures, at the time,) now returned to relevance with the resurrected Monkeypox narrative.
Julian was himself responding to a Wall Street Silver Tweet that went viral pointing out the obvious propaganda push for Monkeypox we’ve seen over the last few weeks … especially since some officials are now calling for the DNC in particular to be delayed or cancelled altogether for the betterment of public health.
Now, this is all incredibly gay. That much is obvious.
And I personally wouldn’t count on the DNC actually being delayed or cancelled because of this nonsense.
That said, I think it’s a fantastic example of dot-connecting by one of the best Anons still in the game, and I think the fact that these narratives ARE being pushed demonstrates there’s a true panic pattern developing for the Deep State ahead of what SHOULD be their grand coronation of the next Hope and Change candidate. —
The Saudi Crown Prince is Talking About An Assassination. His Own.
Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, knows a thing or two about assassinations. Lately, he’s been telling U.S. lawmakers he’s at risk of one.
The Saudi royal has mentioned to members of Congress that he’s putting his life in danger by pursuing a grand bargain with the U.S. and Israel that includes normalizing Saudi-Israeli ties. On at least one occasion, he has invoked Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian leader slain after striking a peace deal with Israel, asking what the U.S. did to protect Sadat. He also has discussed the threats he faces in explaining why any such deal must include a true path to a Palestinian state — especially now that the war in Gaza has heightened Arab fury toward Israel.
The talks were described to me by a former U.S. official briefed on the conversations and two other people with knowledge of them. All of the people, like others quoted in this column, were granted anonymity to describe a high-stakes, sensitive topic. The discussions have been weighty and serious, but one takeaway, the people said, is that the crown prince, often referred to as MBS, appears intent on striking the mega-deal with the U.S. and Israel despite the risks involved. He sees it as crucial to his country’s future. — Politico
Our Take:
They killed Kennedy. They killed King Faisal. They killed Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat (1993 Oslo Accords— Two State Solution).
They tried to kill Trump.
They kill peacemakers.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God. —
Russia Ready To Execute Nuclear Attacks On NATO Targets, According To Leaked Documents
Western sources have reportedly leaked Russian plans drawn up between 2008 and 2014 for “a series of overwhelming strikes across Western Europe,” the Financial Times reported.
Citing documents from Western security sources, Putin allegedly sought to enable the Russian navy to execute nuclear strikes within NATO territory were a conflict with the alliance to emerge.
Targets would not be solely military. According to William Alberque, a former NATO official, “There could be hundreds, if not thousands, of targets mapped across Europe, including military and infrastructure targets.”
Russia is also evidently still capable of transporting nuclear weapons on surface ships, which experts say carries a significant risk of escalation or accident. The Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I), signed by the U.S. and Russia in 1991, was supposed to have eliminated this possibility, although many have often questioned Moscow’s adherence to it. — ReMix News
Our Take: This apparent “leak” to the Financial Times is a perfect example of how a faulty premise that could easily be debunked or challenge from the outset can lead to a cascade of absurd claims and even detailed “actuals” that are really just potentials in a fantasy land constructed entirely within the false reality.
For starters, the piece buries an important qualifier in its reporting:
“Putin allegedly sought to enable the Russian navy to execute nuclear strikes within NATO territory were a conflict with the alliance to emerge.”
Zoom in. Enhance.
“… were a conflict with the alliance to emerge.”
Assuming these leaks are true—and they rarely are—then are we actually surprised that Russia had and has contingency plans in place for a potential, and apparently inevitable conflict with the Globalist Bloc that has been steadily encroaching into its borders for the better part of two decades?
What’s more, Russian Nuclear mongering is going to be incredibly useful to prime the mass psychological pump for Scare Events to come. —
DOJ considers breakup of Google following court ruling on illegal monopolization
Following a recent court ruling that found Google guilty of illegally monopolizing the online search market, the DOJ is considering various measures to restore competition, including a potential breakup of the tech giant.
Bloomberg reports that the DOJ is exploring the possibility of dismantling Google, marking the first significant attempt to break up a company for monopolization since the failed efforts against Microsoft two decades ago.
Sources familiar with the discussions indicate that the DOJ is also considering less drastic measures, such as requiring Google to share more data with competitors and implementing safeguards to prevent the company from leveraging an unfair advantage in AI. Regardless of the approach, the government is expected to push for a ban on the exclusive contracts central to its case against Google.
If a breakup is pursued, the DOJ is likely to target Google’s Android operating system and Chrome browser for divestment, and may also consider forcing the sale of AdWords, the company’s platform for selling text advertising.
These deliberations follow Judge Amit Mehta’s August 5 ruling, which concluded that Google illegally monopolized the online search and search text advertising markets. Google plans to appeal the decision, but Mehta has directed both parties to start preparing for the case’s next phase, which will involve the DOJ’s proposals for restoring competition, potentially including a breakup. — Badlands News
Our Take: Abs and I went through this on yesterday’s Badlands Daily, and I know I have an unpopular opinion, but I’m sticking to it.
First, Judge Amit Mehta is an authoritarian who imagines the Judiciary as an extension of the Executive. He’s involved, which instantly raises alarm bells for me.
Second, the Biden Department of Justice, according to this article, will be determining which parts of Google stay and which parts must be divested. The Biden DOJ are authoritarians who have already reimagined Justice in this country — and not in a good way.
Third, we are talking about a suite of societal institutions — Search, AdWords, Play, Cloud, and more that would be core enablers of tyranny in the hands of a criminal regime. Ahem.
The government’s position here is a tenuous one. This didn’t work with Microsoft when the government tried a couple decades ago, but the government was less overtly tyrannical then (key word: overtly).
Maybe Google does need to be broken up. I’m still not convinced, but I’m certain that it shouldn’t be done while the most incompetent yet nefarious administration in history is at the helm. If it’s going to be Mehta and Garland, I remain firmly opposed. —

Hunter Biden Sought State Department Help for Ukrainian Company
Hunter Biden sought assistance from the U.S. government for a potentially lucrative energy project in Italy while his father was vice president, according to newly released records and interviews.
The records, which the Biden administration had withheld for years, indicate that Hunter Biden wrote at least one letter to the U.S. ambassador to Italy in 2016 seeking assistance for the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, where he was a board member.
Embassy officials appear to have been uneasy with the request from the son of the sitting vice president on behalf of a foreign company.

Defense secretary’s intervention in 9/11 cases faces judge’s scrutiny
A military judge overseeing the cases against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and two others accused of plotting the 9/11 attacks will examine if it was legal for Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to rescind plea agreements that would have spared them the death penalty, a move that drew praise among some victims’ families and blowback from critics of the Pentagon’s oft-maligned judicial proceedings at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.
The judge, Air Force Col. Matthew McCall, issued his order Monday, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post. It means the years-long effort to prosecute Mohammed and his alleged accomplices, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi, in the murders of nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001, could face another extended delay as lawyers for the three men and the prosecution turn their attention to the propriety of Austin’s 11th-hour maneuver.
The Guantánamo military commissions have been bogged down for years amid disputes over government secrecy, conflicts of interest and the documented U.S. torture of many defendants. Longtime observers of the war court viewed the deals as a way of providing overdue resolution and some measure of justice for those killed in the deadliest attack on American soil and the ensuing 20 years of war. Austin, a retired Army general who led troops in combat after 9/11, has said he believes that “the families of the victims, our service members and the American public deserve the opportunity” to see the cases go to trial.
The defense secretary intervened in the cases Aug. 2, barely 48 hours after the Defense Department announced that a senior official overseeing the Guantánamo proceedings had entered into pretrial agreements with the three men. In a short statement explaining his reasoning, Austin said the significance of such a decision meant the responsibility for making it “should rest with me.” — WAPO
Major cyberattack disrupts Central Bank of Iran and other financial institutions
On Wednesday, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and several other banks were hit by a significant cyberattack, leading to major disruptions in Iran's banking system, according to Iran International. Hours after the report emerged, it has yet to be corroborated by additional sources or commented on by Iranian authorities.
Iran International, a London-based anti-regime outlet, described the incident as potentially one of the largest cyberattacks ever targeting Iranian state infrastructure. The report highlights that hackers may have accessed sensitive bank and credit card details of millions of Iranians. Babak Itzhaki, the outlet’s Israel correspondent, claims that the Iranian government has been attempting to conceal the breach and anticipates a denial from the regime.
The cyberattack reportedly paralyzed all banking computer systems in Iran, and resulted in stolen data. The incident is seen as a possible message from Western countries, demonstrating the vulnerabilities of Iran's digital systems. — Badlands News

I’m old enough to remember when the WHO ad the CDC screamed “Zika Zika Zika” was coming to get our unborn babies’ brains. So I did my own research into the history of Zika. I wasn’t surprised to find out that it had been around at least 40 years prior to their warnings. My then pharmacist was absolutely ecstatic at the thought of another vaccine to push on everybody. When I challenged her on why that was necessary for me since I could no longer get pregnant, she didn’t have much to say. When nothing happened because nobody paid any attention, Zika left the news cycle. I believe they pivoted back to West Nile. They have zero credibility.
Ah, even with GART in progress the Takes arrive on time:-)
