The News Cycle is almost impossible to track these days. At least, to do so fully.
That’s where we come in.
In the Badlands News Brief, the Badlands Media team hand pick news items of interest from the previous days to give you an overview of the biggest goings-on relevant to the Truth Community with some Badlands flavoring to help wash it down.
Now, onto the news from the Weekend that Was …
The election has been totally upended. Here’s what the polls show.
The polls are in after a chaotic few weeks in the 2024 presidential election, and they point to a newly hyper-competitive race.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ elevation has jolted the race and blunted the momentum former President Donald Trump could have seen coming out of the Republican convention and the assassination attempt that preceded it. Though polling showed Trump building a lead over President Joe Biden following their debate last month, that advantage has mostly evaporated against Harris in the fresh round of surveys conducted since she became the all-but-certain Democratic nominee.
The new polling shows just how much the landscape has shifted since Biden dropped out last Sunday. For months, the contest appeared set, and Biden’s modest deficit going into the debate threatened to decline further. That’s now changed.
Trump still maintains a slim edge over Harris — but the race is now close, which was not the case for the Biden-vs.-Trump contest after the debate. Just this week, new polls from The New York Times/Siena College (Trump +1 over Harris), The Wall Street Journal (Trump +2) and CNN (Trump +3) all represent tightening from 6-point Trump leads in all three polls following the debate.
Looking only at the horserace, it’s difficult to evaluate whether opinions of Trump shifted after the assassination attempt, or whether he received a bounce out of the GOP convention and his selection of Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate
But look deeper, and one can see some signs that Trump is viewed differently now than he was before the assassination attempt. Similarly, the crosstabs show how Harris has closed the gap with the Republican nominee, performing stronger with traditionally Democratic groups among whom Biden had lagged badly. — Politico
Our Take: This is a donation in kind. You know when you’re flipping through a magazine, and you start reading some editorialized propaganda before noticing the “Advertorial” label in small print on the top? This is like that, except Politico isn’t required to label their obvious product sales pitch like other advertisers.
Despite the headline, the details of the polling still show Trump ahead which, coming from Politico, means he’s certainly very much ahead. Kamala is a female and a person of color, but she’s also unlikable, cackley, and only slightly more articulate than scrotus. She’s lied about her record and has no meaningful accomplishments on which to stand. And her post announcement bump, with all the manipulation and spin, still shows her losing. The more voters see and hear her, the more likely they are to reject her like they rejected Joe Biden.
Speaking of Joe Biden, check out this whopper: ‘In this era of polarization, it’s hard to imagine that Biden and his 39-percent approval rating could do anything that would be almost unanimously popular.
But his decision to pull the plug on his moribund campaign is well received across the political spectrum.’
It wasn’t that long ago that all the mockingbirds insisted that Joe was a strong, competent statesman and the only guy that could beat Trump. They were certain. They told you to ignore the ‘Republicans pouncing’ with ‘misinformation.’
And yet, buried in this advertorial, they reveal something closer to the truth. ‘More than three-in-four likely voters in the New York Times/Siena poll said they were enthusiastic or satisfied that Biden had dropped out. The numbers were similar in the Fox News state polls, including in Pennsylvania, where 78 percent of voters said they approved of Biden dropping out.’
Now the same people are astroturfing Kamala Harris — who has never been likable or popular — and claiming that this is a ‘newly hyper-competitive race.’
Orwell called this: ‘The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.’
Make Orwell Fiction Again. —
Trump calls for US to be ‘crypto capital of the planet’ in appeal to Nashville bitcoin conference
Former President Donald Trump on Saturday laid out his plans to wholeheartedly embrace cryptocurrency if elected for a second term, telling hundreds of cheering supporters of the digital tokens that he wants the U.S. to be a “bitcoin superpower” under his leadership.
In his keynote address at a bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee, the Republican presidential nominee promised to make the United States the “crypto capital of the planet” and create a bitcoin “strategic reserve” using the currency that the government currently holds.
He also promised to remove Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler if elected and implement a crypto advisory council, teasing the crowd by asking attendees if anyone wanted to join.
“We will have regulations, but from now on the rules will be written by people who love your industry, not hate your industry,” he said. — AP News
Our Take: Okay, so Donald Trump's statements in Nashville will go down as some of the most SIGNAL he's ever put out, but how's this one for my Q DEEEEEEP divers?
"My Uncle, Dr. John Trump. He would have fit in this room very nicely ... that's why I mention it."
If you're an Anon who hasn't been paying attention to what Bitcoin is, what it REALLY is, Trump is inviting you onto the train.
If you're a Bitcoin Maxi who hasn't been paying attention to the Awakening ... Trump is inviting you onto the train.
Because it's the same train.
From Tesla (the original, I mean,) to Tesla (the new one, I mean,) Bitcoin to the American Renaissance, the plan is MUCH, much bigger than we ever knew.
For the past decade, we've been focused on tearing [their] world of falsity down, but the time is quickly approaching where it will be on all Americans to BUILD the future we were always meant to have.
And Donald Trump is nothing if not a Builder.
You didn't think this was just another 4-year election, did you? —
Netanyahu wraps US visit with a meeting to woo Trump
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew to Florida on Friday with one mission in mind: Get Donald Trump to pledge unequivocal support for Israel militarily and financially should he win in November.
That kind of backing from Trump would arguably help Netanyahu solidify his grip on power amid an increasingly hostile political scene back at home. The Republican candidate’s strong standing in the polls has had the Israeli leader eager to get his backing. And with President Joe Biden, a staunch supporter of Israel, dropping off the Democratic ticket, Netanyahu feels it is even now more essential to garner goodwill with Trump, according to two people familiar with the prime minister’s thinking.
But getting on Trump’s good side is not as easy as it used to be — and it’s unclear if Netanyahu got what he wanted.
A Trump campaign readout of the meeting said the former president told Netanyahu that should he return to the White House, he “will make every effort to bring peace to the Middle East.”
The Trump campaign did not say if he would continue to support the $3 billion weapons package the U.S. approves for Israel each year — something team Netanyahu has been trying to solidify and speed up this week in meetings. His delegation this week circulated a list of weapons Israel wants transferred quickly in the face of what it views as an increasingly aggressive Iran.
Trump and Netanyahu have been at odds over how and when to wind down the war in Gaza — a divergence that likely complicated the discussions Friday. — Politico
Our Take: There are two videos that I have previously made that really set the stage for this meeting.
The first video shows the real relationship (in my opinion) between Trump and Netanyahu.
The second video shows the real relationship (in my opinion) between Trump and Abbas—the Palestinian President.
First thing you should note is that Trump wore the same tie in his [historic] 2017 meeting with President Abbas that he did in his meeting with Netanyahu on Friday. To me, that's not an insignificant detail—nor is the fact that the meeting with Abbas occurred 17 days before the Sword Dance.
Now, let's talk about Trump's body language in his meeting with Netanyahu. First, the greeting:
Trump plays the master diplomat, killing them with kindness. And yet, he also pulls a page out of the Saudi Crown Prince's book (who fist-bumped Biden) and goes with an informal handshake with Netanyahu—also doing the old Trump bit, where he grabs the hand of his adversary during the handshake and pulls them in, asserting his dominance. In the Middle East and Israel, such an informal greeting—especially given the gravity of the moment, with everything at stake— would be considered a sign of disrespect.
I also found this fascinating article from LinkedIn, which says that in Israel, any gesture where the thumb is extended is considered offensive—especially the "thumbs up," which is Trump's trademark.
Then, when it's time for the photo op, Trump turns toward Sarah Netanyahu, boxing out Bibi. (You may think I'm reading into this too much, but Donald Trump is obsessive of the details when it comes to optics.)
(Notice the feet, where they are pointing.)
And let's talk about that handshake from the image above—the one where Trump uses two hands. According to body language experts, when somebody places their left hand over top the handshake, they are asserting dominance. I immediately read it as, "I have the upper hand."
Bibi presented gifts to Trump—a hat that read "Total Victory", and his signed autobiography—which Trump showed little interest in, refraining from even touching the hat during the photo op. I read this as a total rejection of Netanyahu's strategic objectives—re:Total Victory.
Now, let's look at the actual meeting.
The first thing I noticed was the absence of Melania, despite the fact that Bibi brought his wife, Sarah. Surely, Bibi was trying to soften the mood by bringing his wife, likely hoping that Melania would be present, which would have reinforced the optics of the friendship between Trump and the Netanyahus. Wives can also be a useful distraction during a tense meeting, as they can break up the tension with their own banter. But Trump didn't bring Melania, despite the meeting being hosted at their home, and I believe that was very intentional. This meeting was purely business, and he wanted Netanyahu to understand that as soon as he saw Trump standing at the door alone, waiting for them.
Trump seats Sarah Netanyahu beside himself, which perhaps is proper etiquette when hosting a husband and wife, when your own wife is absent. But I read it more as Trump isolating Bibi from his security blanket, just like he did during the photo op at the front door.
But what I really noticed about this meeting was the guy sitting next to Netanyahu: Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer.
Dermer is like Netanyahu's Dan Scavino. He was born and raised in Miami—an American citizen-- but has faithfully served as Netanyahu's "most influential advisor and closest confidante" since 2000, when he helped Bibi plot his political comeback, after Netanyahu had been pushed out of office as Prime Minister— mostly due to his subversion of the Oslo Accords.
Dermer attended UPenn's Wharton School of Business, which he claims to have chosen after reading Trump's Art of the Deal. At Wharton, he studied under Frank Luntz, who called him “the most talented student I’ve ever had." In 1995, while still studying at Oxford, Dermer conducted all the polling and formulated the strategy for Natan Sharansky's Yisrael BaAliyah party in the 1996 Knesset elections. The party was later integrated into Netanyahu's Likud Party.
The Yisrael BaAliyah party was created to represent the interests of Russian immigrants in Israel, specifically a group known as the "Refusenik"—an unofficial term for "Soviet Jews." Now, where did these people come from? You guessed it: The Pale of [Jewish] Settlement—the place I have discussed countless times in this newsletter and on Badlands streams.
That ties Dermer to Ukraine and the Jewish Mafia that directly connects Ukraine (and Russia) to Israel.
(For context, in 2017, The Times of Israel wrote an article entitled "Is Israel becoming a mafia state?" The article referenced that 75% of the Knesset were involved in very shady dealings, but the real story behind these speculations— which have been widely prevalent for years— is that the Jewish-Ukrainian mafia migrated to Israel in 1989, the most famous figure being Semion Mogilevich. In 2010, Wikileaks published communications revealing that the US Embassy in Israel had expressed "grave concern" over the election of Inbal Gavrieli to the Knesset as a member of the Likud Party. She is the niece of the head of the Gavrieli Crime Family, making her uncle one of the most powerful crime bosses in the Israeli Mafia. The communications revealed serious concern that these organized crime syndicates had infiltrated the Likud Party's central committee, and effectively controlled it. Perhaps this contributed to Assange's persecution?)
Also worth noting that, according to Politico, Dermer and Sharansky co-authored George W. Bush's favorite book. (The Case for Democracy, 2004) According to that same article, had Dermer stayed in the United States, he likely would have become RNC Chairman, or at least the go-to manager for presidential campaigns. So it's safe to say that Dermer is a total swamp creature, who is deeply loved by the Bush NeoCons.
The reason I am so intrigued by Dermer is the subterfuge he engaged in against MAGA and Donald Trump on January 15, 2021. During the chaos of the final days of Trump's first term, using his extensive network of powerful friends in DC, Dermer—who at the time, was Israel's ambassador to the United States—snuck into the State Department and reversed the sanctions imposed by Trump's Executive Order 13818 against Israeli oligarch Dan Gertler. (Another figure we have covered many times.)
Oddly enough, it was Janet Yellen of all people who reissued those sanctions against Dan Gertler in March 2021, after the press finally reported on the development—they had been distracted by J6. Biden's DOJ then successfully prosecuted the case against Gertler, stripping him of his African mining rights in 2022, which were then legally acquired by several members of the Sovereign Alliance (UAE, Russia, China).
In my opinion, this is a Devolution-proof. And a Sovereign Alliance-proof. And that gets the jimmies rustling.
Surely, Trump knew all of this going into Friday, and I think that explains why Melania was intentionally absent. This was not just a business-centric meeting; it was the beginning of an intense negotiation on whether World War 3 will take place. I expect that negotiation to continue over the course of the next 12 months.
If you had to bet money, who would take to win that negotiation? (Me too.) —
Olympics Opening Ceremony Features Dancing Drag Queens And Bizarre Symbology
Sports spectacles like the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the Commonwealth Games and a host of other events have become increasingly political in their messaging and their pageantry in recent years. Furthermore, the symbology on display during these performances has become more and more bizarre.
As we noted in May, the signs were not good for the Summer Games when it was revealed that drag queens and trans activists would be carrying the Olympic Torch in preparation for opening ceremonies. Olympic torch bearers are supposed to be chosen from a list of people with significant contributions to their communities. It's hard to say what contributions trans activists have made to any community, but the announced "theme" of the Summer Games held in Paris helps to explain their presence.
The stated tenets for Olympics 2024 are: Community, Diversity and The Collective. In other words, the theme of this year's Olympic Games is woke.
The event was planned by "queer artistic director" Thomas Jolly, who said he "wants everyone to feel represented." Yet another example of gay activists unable to control their impulse to project their sexual preferences on everything, even sporting events.
Opening Ceremonies have launched in France with much fanfare, though the rest of the world is not very interested. In the US, the Summer Games in Paris are expected to hit record low ratings; even lower than the Winter Games in Beijing in 2022. When you see what has become of the Olympics today, it's easy to understand why.
The ceremony in Paris features strange performances from a horde of drag queens, including sexualized dancing and an LGBT recreation of The Last Supper. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: It’s not new for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies to comprise Lucifarian tribute porn. Illuminati symbolism and social justice ‘art’ installations have adorned every exhibition since (at least) London 2012 — and probably decades prior, back before people started noticing.
But people are noticing now and, as a result, they’re being censored for commenting. How inclusive.
I love the Olympics, cheering on Team USA athletes and all of us coming together as a national team to kick the world’s ass. I know it’s bread and circuses, but I live just north of America’s Olympic city. My son played hockey tournaments on the Olympic training center ice. I personally know olympians, and I know those who failed to achieve the status despite their elite athletic accomplishments. I know how hard they work to achieve greatness for God and country. I refuse to let the global cultists force me to abandon them.
In 1996, I jumped up and down in the stands — chanting USA! USA! — during the Track and Field finals when Michael Johnson became the first-ever double gold medalist in the 200m and 400m events. I was 17, and I remember it vividly.
I’m not letting devil worshipping losers take that from me and neither should you.
I had low expectations for this year’s opening ceremony. A couple Olympics ago, they foretold COVID. If that’s any indication, they’re now foretelling the apocalypse. Yawn. God has already won.
Despite being, as always, globalist, this year the Olympics are also French, and the French are notoriously weird and boundary-less. The fashion and art scenes were mostly gross — with fat, mentally-ill dudes in dresses replacing the expected, traditional, gorgeous French women. Inclusion means never having to tuck your balls before taking a woman’s job.
Still, parts of this ceremony were so well executed that they must be appreciated. The metal band playing on the side of castle while Marie Antoinette held her head. The parade of champions on boats down the Seine. The Eiffel Tower light show. These are the moments that hooked me and kept me watching until it got gross again.
I turned off the pornographic runway as well as the fat blue demon and his bromos promoting paganism and attempting to mock the Most High God. God will not be mocked, and I pity those who try.
With the exhibitionism in our rear view, I’m now getting into the sport. My 16yo and I watched the first round of surfing yesterday — which made its debut as an event at Tokyo 2020. Surfing is taking place 10,000 miles away from Paris in Tahiti, French Polynesia.
Also, the US gymnastics team is off to a strong start, and cyclist Haley Batten took silver in women's mountain biking — a best ever finish for ‘Merica in the event.

It All Tracks – Hersch Reports Barack Obama Threatened Biden with 25th Amendment Removal
In popular lingo young people simply say, “that tracks.” It’s a quick way of saying, new information makes sense with pre-existing information.
Investigative journalist Seymour Hersch writes on his substack [SEE HERE], an article outlying how his sources in Washington DC and the White House have confirmed to him that former President Barack Obama was the impetus to push Joe Biden out of the 2024 presidential race.
Seymour Hersh says President Obama was “deeply involved” with the alleged coup and called Joe Biden after his “incident” in Las Vegas, which, from all outward appearances, looks like a major slip and fall – with a significant hit to the head.
“I went over [reports] this week with a senior official in Washington who helped me fashion an account of a White House in complete disarray,” Hersh said.
“Obama called Biden after breakfast [on July 20] and said, ‘Here’s the deal. We have Kamala’s approval to invoke the 25th Amendment,'” a senior Washington official told Hersh. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries were reportedly directly involved.
Obama’s plan was to not to immediately endorse Kamala, but it was clear that she would “get the nod.” “[Obama] had an agenda and he wanted to seek it through to the end, and he wanted to have control over who would be elected.” (Hersch article encapsulated)
Not only does this outline track with every datapoint known about events leading up to the Biden announcement, it also aligns with the entire background of the Obama team operating inside the Biden administration. Team Obama have always been in control. Heck, the Obamas never even left Washington DC after their term in office.
The bigger understanding is in the final quote cited. “[Team Obama] had an agenda and he wanted to seek it through to the end, and he wanted to have control over who would be elected.” This is the part where people forget the risk to Team Obama that has never gone away. — Conservative Treehouse
Government to pay former FBI officials $2 million in settlements over release of anti-Trump texts
x-FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page reached settlements with the Justice Department that will see the government paying out a total of $2 million in their lawsuits over the department’s 2018 release of their text messages.
Former agent Strzok will get $1.2 million and Page, who was an FBI lawyer, will get $800,000, according to settlement agreements obtained by CNN.
Strzok and Page finalized their settlements with the Justice Department in court filings Friday, after alleging the department violated the Privacy Act by releasing to the media texts they exchanged criticizing Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign.
“While I have been vindicated by this result, my fervent hope remains that our institutions of justice will never again play politics with the lives of their employees,” Page said in a statement provided by her attorneys.
The Justice Department declined to comment on the matter.
Strzok played a senior role on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team until he was removed after an internal investigation first revealed his texts with Page, with whom Strzok had an extramarital relationship, that could be read as exhibiting political bias. Page, who had also briefly served on Mueller’s team, resigned from her role as a lawyer for the FBI after the messages were discovered. The release of the messages became political fodder for Donald Trump to oppose the Russia investigation during his presidency.

Trump tells supporters they won’t have to vote in the future: ‘It’ll be fixed!’
Donald Trump has ignited alarm among his critics after telling a crowd of supporters that they won’t “have to vote again” if they return him to the presidency in November’s election.
“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right Christian advocacy group Turning Point Action.
“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians,” he said with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest.
He added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”
Trump’s remarks – delivered not far from his Mar-a-Lago resort and home – were immediately met with consternation in some political quarters.
The constitutional and civil rights attorney Andrew Seidel, for instance, replied to video of Trump’s comments circulating on X by writing: “This is not subtle Christian nationalism. He’s talking about ending our democracy and installing a Christian nation.” — The Guardian
