Defense rests in Trump’s New York trial
President Trump’s lawyers rested their defense on Tuesday without him taking the witness stand in his New York ‘hush money’ trial, moving the case closer to the jury's deliberation.
“Your honor, the defense rests,” Trump lawyer Todd Blanche told the judge after testimony from a former federal prosecutor who challenged the credibility of the prosecution’s key witness.
The jury was dismissed until May 28, when closing arguments are scheduled. Attorneys were set to return later on Tuesday to discuss the judge's instructions for the jury's deliberations.
As the first U.S. president to undergo a criminal trial, Trump declined to respond to inquiries as he exited the courthouse, including queries regarding his decision not to testify. Despite previously expressing his intent to take the stand to refute obvious politically motivated charges, the Republican presumptive presidential nominee opted to remain silent.
Following the conclusion of the defense's case, Judge Juan M. Merchan advised jurors that the court session might extend late into Tuesday to facilitate both prosecution and defense summations, representing the final chance for the jury to hear from either side.

After more than four weeks of testimony, jurors could begin deliberating as soon as next week to decide whether Trump is guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. — Badlands News
Our Take: “One of the Colorado Commie legislators tweeted yesterday, ‘If Biden paid hush money to a porn star, Republicans would’ve locked him up years ago. But it’s Trump. So it’s OK.’
This is humorous on multiple levels. First, Woodward’s statement assumes an underlying crime that doesn’t exist. As Trump attorney Blanche stated, ‘How can withholding a false story from the voters be considered criminal?’ There’s no actual crime here, but that’s no big deal to this dude who makes laws.
Second, Woodward’s take assumes that Biden is not guilty of hush money payments — a big, logic-defying assumption in the age of Hunter, Jim, and Ashley Biden. Woodward wants you to believe that the springer first family — a family that leaves a trail of diaries and laptops wherever their crack-fueled vision quests take them — has never paid anyone off. Sure, pal.
Finally, Woodward’s silly post falsely claims that Republicans have any sort of power to hold Biden accountable. They don’t, at least on the surface. Just ask Robert Hur. Or try to get something done in the Congress without it dying in the Senate. Republicans’ only play is to wake up the people.
Now, I know some people out there equate ‘Republicans’ with the shadow government concept of ‘white hats.’ I entertain the concept of ‘white hats’ for certain — but suggesting that they’re ’Republicans’ is a bridge too far for me. The parties are the problem, and that’s never been more obvious. Which brings us back to the partisan political attack in Judge Merchan’s courtroom.
The defense rested Tuesday, summations will take place next Tuesday, and deliberation may begin as early as next Wednesday.
According to the evidence and witness testimony, the case should have been dismissed, Cohen and Daniels need to be charged with perjury, and the attorneys that put Cohen and Daniels on the stand — undeniably knowing they were going to lie — should be disbarred. An inquiry into the Judge’s potential abuses of discretion should also be conducted.
I’m not holding my breath, but I also believe that trust in our justice system will only be restored with justice. That is, trust will only be restored by demanding accountability for those who broke (and continue to break) that trust.

Norway says it is ready to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant
Norway on Tuesday became the first European country to publicly announce that it will arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant if an arrest warrant ultimately is issued against them by the Hague Tribunal and they land on its territory.
Norway's Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said, a day after the dramatic statement by ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, that "if an arrest warrant is issued against Netanyahu and Gallant on behalf of the Hague Tribunal, we will be obliged to arrest them if they arrive in Norway."
"It is the court that decides whether to issue an arrest warrant. If so, all the signatory countries must act on it," added the Foreign Minister of Norway, which is the first country to announce on its own initiative that it would carry out the warrants, if they are filed.
However, this is an idle threat, given that no Israeli prime minister or defense minister will soon visit Norway, which is currently considered - along with Spain and Ireland - to be one of the most hostile countries to Israel in Europe, and relations with it are at an unprecedented low.
Unlike Norway, Britain criticized Khan's decision, and especially the equivalence that it draws between Netanyahu and Gallant and the leaders of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, Muhammad Deif and Ismail Haniyeh. — YNet News
Our Take: “Having tracked certain events for quite some time now, I have taken notice of a certain pattern.
For those who are hung up on the fact that the ICC was created by George Soros twenty-some years ago—and is therefore an illegitimate institution—you're missing the point.
Soros and Netanyahu are two sides of the same coin—two sides of the same controlled opposition dynamic. Netanyahu needs Soros, because Soros provides funding and resources to energize Arab populations, particularly Palestine, into militancy against Israel. Soros needs Netanyahu, because Netanyahu wields considerable influence over the Military Industrial Complex, and can use the Hegemony's military strength to destabilize third world nations through kinetic conflict, which becomes the primer for fundraising, money-laundering, and human-trafficking for various NGO's that Soros manages.
Part of the dynamic between the two is the kabuki theater that plays out in the press, where Netanyahu accuses Soros of funding anti-Israel protests, and Soros accuses Netanyahu of creating a phantom threat in order to undermine refugee programs. This has been going on for years. You can find a number of articles circa February 2018 that document the back and forth.
What's important to remember is that this performance never really goes past ‘tough talk.’ It animates and energizes both sides of the political spectrum, sows division, and further polarizes the politics of various nations, making them ripe for political destabilization.
But it never goes past the tough talk. Because the name of the game is to keep the game going forever; the ‘game’ being Forever Wars.
So, what has changed?
Well, the Saudis have spent the past several years courting the various players on the geopolitical gameboard, engaging in an art long lost to the globalists: Bilateral Agreements.
Through these bilateral agreements, the Saudis and their partners have created a network of relationships that they can now leverage to turn the very institutions created by the Globalist Hegemony (of which both Soros and Netanyahu belong and serve) against the Globalists.
Do we think that it was a coincidence that on the very same day (last week) that the International Court of Justice convened to hear South Africa's new arguments alleging Israel's genocide of Gaza, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was hosting the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain, where UN Secretary-General António Guterres was invited as a special guest of honor, and a joint statement was issued by the group demanding Israel to forever withdraw the IDF from Palestine (not just Gaza,) and called on the entire international community to come down on the Zionist regime in Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu was once considered untouchable, politically. Now he has become the world's pariah, and Norway is not the only one supporting the arrest warrants. France, who once helped Israel secretly develop a nuclear weapons program, has also come forward to support the arrest warrants. Expect more. (This isn't really about the arrest warrants, it's about optics and geopolitical sentiment.)
Don't hate the player, hate the game. MBS has merely made himself the new gamemaster, and beaten the globalists on their own playing field, under their crooked rules.” —
Biden Drains Entire Northeast Gasoline Reserve In Bid To Lower Gas Prices As He Trails Trump By Double Digits
Back in March, when reading the mammoth, 1050-page bill that was meant to avert government shutdown, but was yet another pork filled free-for-all bonanza authorizing $1.7 trillion in in discretionary spending, we stumbled upon something that was truly shocking: after Biden singlehandedly drained half of the US strategic petroleum reserve to avoid obliteration for Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections, Congress has snuck in a provision that would sell off and shutter the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve, a move that while perhaps keeps gas prices lower for a day or two, would also leave the entire continental northeast defenseless to any true environmental catastrophe or shock. We were so dismayed by the inclusion of this particular text, we wondered if it hadn't been put there solely for the benefit of America's enemies...
... because surely nobody in their right mind, not even the illegitimate senile occupant of the White House, would ever pursue such short-term gains at the expense of potentially disastrous long-term consequences to the entire nation.
We were wrong: earlier today, just two months after the bill was signed by Biden into law, the panicking administration announced that it would sell the nearly 1 million barrels of gasoline in the US managed stockpile in northeastern states, the Department of Energy said, effectively closing the reserve. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “The latest headlines announcing the Biden Admin's intentions to further drain the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (a reserve Trump topped up while he was in office,) underscore just how porked the Establishment is by a series of pincer moves Trump and company set up for them for this Awakening time period.
For starters, the energy drain recalls the economic pincer many Americans find themselves in right now, putting off future energy and monetary stability in exchange for short-term solvency.
Then, when digging JUST beneath the surface, one is forced to reconcile with the fact that the Biden Admin is itself boldly and proudly declaring that draining said energy and, in a sense, National Security reserve is being done solely to give Americans a publicized holiday discount of a few cents per gallon.
This is advertising, full stop.
Finally, the whole charade was seeded and projected by Trump himself, giving us yet another in a long line of Devolution proofs to consider.

World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab to step back from executive role
The World Economic Forum confirmed Tuesday that founder Klaus Schwab is moving away from the day-to-day management of the organization after more than 50 years at the helm.
The forum said that the move was part of a multiyear strategy to change its management structure, shifting governance to a president and managing board. Børge Brende is currently president of the WEF.
The forum did not reveal who would succeed Schwab and become the face of its elite annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
“Since 2015, the World Economic Forum has been transforming from a convening platform to the leading global institution for public-private cooperation,” the WEF said in a statement to CNBC.
“As part of that transformation, the organisation has also been undergoing a planned governance evolution from a founder-managed organization to one where a President and Managing Board assume full executive responsibility,” the forum added.
The nonprofit think tank confirmed that Schwab would transition to a role as chairman of the board of trustees. It added that the board would be organized around four strategic committees “to further reinforce the impact of our work.” — NBC News
Our Take: “Klaus Schwab has run the World Economic Forum since 1971, and he grew the institution into the pinnacle of the Global World Order.
Through the WEF change network, the global governors are able to drive their specific agenda through every institution, in every sector of every industry, across every geography in the world. This is quite the achievement for Schwab, and the timing of his departure is notable.
One of the awakening hurdles we all face at some point is overcoming the scale. Recently, I watched the Hunger Games prequel, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,’ which tells the origin story of President Snow, the big bad authoritarian in the original trilogy. Like the movie, ‘Maleficent,’ the villain is reframed as only choosing evil after deciding to be a victim no more. For Snow, we see friends and lovers and hard choices and, obviously, hunger, that leads to a critical moment where he states:
‘The whole world is an arena, and we need the Hunger Games every year to remind us all who we truly are.’
This is, of course, the belief system of the global elites, going back before Edward Bernays famously wrote, ‘The engineering of consent is the very essence of the democratic process, the freedom to persuade and suggest.’
The biggest questions I have on Schwab’s retirement are why now questions. Why would he step down, now, when we’re told they’re so close to achieving their vision? Was stepping down his choice? How does the timing impact key programs? Who is actually calling the shots at WEF?
Remember the last Davos meeting where we all commented that the energy was different and the rhetoric had changed? And then Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation scolded them all and told them, ‘It's laughable that you or anyone would describe Davos as protecting liberal democracy.’
The invisible hand is no longer invisible.” —
Slovaks Probe Possible Broader Plot Behind Premier’s Shooting
The Slovak police said they’re investigating the possible involvement of more people than just a “lone-wolf” shooter in the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Government officials initially said that a single perpetrator with a political motive was responsible for the May 15 attack. On Sunday, authorities said that cooperation with domestic and foreign intelligence services had led to a broadening of the probe, to include a version in which a group - which wasn’t identified - may have been linked to the crime.
Fico sustained life-threatening injuries when a 71-year-old suspect fired five shots from close range at the prime minister, who had approached a crowd of people after a government meeting in the town of Handlova, northeast of the capital Bratislava.
The first such attack on a European leader in more than 20 years has sent shockwaves in one of the continent’s most polarized countries. It’s highlighted the inflammatory politics that have become prevalent in Slovakia since the pandemic and further turbocharged by Russia’s war on Ukraine.
A potential broader assassination plot is supported by the fact that the assailant’s social media communications were erased by another person about two hours after the shooting, Interior Minister Matus Sutaj-Estok told reporters on Sunday. — Bloomberg
Our Take: “So the guy who tried to murder the one NATO leader who is suing for peace between Russia and Ukraine wasn't actually a lone-wolf, as the western propaganda apparatus has breathlessly insisted for the past week? And that leader was just elected into office this past October?
Has anybody stopped to ask themselves why the corporate propagandists are so quick to rush to judgement on a story like this, before any facts or evidence have been firmly established?
As this ZeroHedge article points out, this is the first assassination attempt on any European head of state in 20 years; you would think that these so-called ‘investigative journalists’ would relish the opportunity to sink their teeth into the story.
But the corporate media are not investigative journalists. They are state-sanctioned and affiliated propaganda outlets. Allow me to demonstrate:
The Zero Hedge article cites a CNN article from October that ‘describes [Fico's] ascendancy," which is newspeak for spinning the truth into propaganda with gaslighting and false-framing. In the article, CNN opens with an implicit expression of shock that Fico recieved ‘more votes than expected,’ despite being a two-time former Prime Minister of Slovakia, and championing a message of peace with Russia in a campaign to lead a nation whose shared border with Ukraine is just 200 miles from Kiev.
They go on to dismiss the request from Slovakian President Zuzana Čaputová for Fico to form a government, belying the action as a mere formality based on tradition-- implying that maybe Fico will fail to negotiate cooperation among the various factions.
Čaputová is an interesting bird. She is the leader of the Progressive Slovakia party, which formed in 2017 to stand against the rise of ‘right-wing populism.’ In 2019, she was elected as the first-female president in Slovakia's history, while campaigning against Fico's SMER party using the slogan, ‘Stand up Against Evil.’
Subtle.
She worked for George Soros at the Open Society Foundation starting in 2001, ‘where she handled public administration and the issue of abused and exploited children.’ (Yikes) It seems she continued working there until 2017, when she helped found the PS party, though her work history is very vague, as if it has been copy/pasted in every puff piece ever written about her.
Most notably, the CNN article cites a dubious quote from Michal Šimečka, the leader of PS party who was defeated by Fico in the election:
Šimečka said his party will do “everything it could” to prevent Fico from governing.
Indeed.
My money is on the Ukrainian puppet-masters from Langley, Virginia using Operation Gladio networks and tactics.” —
Fani Willis and judge presiding over Georgia Trump election case defeat challengers
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, the Georgia prosecutor who brought a sprawling racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and others, has won the Democratic primary in her bid for reelection.
Willis defeated progressive attorney Christian Wise Smith in the primary election and is now set to face off against Republican Courtney Kramer in the fall. Willis told reporters after her victory that the voters sent a message that “people want a DA that is just, that treats everybody equally and that works hard, and they know that they have that in me.”
Meanwhile, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, the judge who was randomly assigned to preside over the election interference case, also fended off a challenger, winning a nonpartisan election to keep his seat.
The Trump election case and racketeering cases against well-known rappers have boosted Willis’ public profile. But on Tuesday night she touted her efforts to fight violent crime by being tough on gang members while also saying she worked to give second chances to first offenders and created programs to catch at-risk youth before they get caught up in the criminal justice system. — AP News
Our Take: “Judge McAfee won a full term on Tuesday, and Fani Willis won the Democrat primary, with her race being called in just 30 minutes according to reports.
AJC dedicates barely two paragraphs to McAfee’s victory, as the majority of their coverage was on Fani’s primary win. Judge McAfee wasn’t in a primary. He was in the definitive contest and will now serve a four year term beginning in January 2025.
Georgia voters decisively chose* for McAfee to continue judging, and his most high-profile judging is that of Fani’s crusade against President Trump.
As a reminder, McAfee ruled that Willis, ‘could only continue the case if the special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, stepped aside. Wade promptly left the case, but a defense appeal of McAfee’s ruling is now pending before the Georgia Court of Appeals.’
During the campaign, critics claimed that McAfee’s notoriety impacted his electability and that his electability problems might impact his impartiality.
McAfee’s electability is now irrelevant, but that of Ms. Willis is another matter entirely. She will face Republican Courtney Kramer in the fall.
Who’s excited for the next season of Georgia RICO?” —

GOP reps want same benefits for Americans serving in Israel army
In what might sound like something out of Louis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, or for the more modern twist, Seinfeld's Bizarro World, two Republican congressmen have introduced legislation that would extend the same employment protections to Americans serving in the Israeli army as Americans who leave work and home to serve the U.S. military.
In other words, no different than U.S. National Guardsman or Reservists, they are just fighting for another country.
“Over 20,000 American citizens are currently defending Israel from Hamas terrorists, risking their lives for the betterment of our ally,” said Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), in a recent statement.“This legislation will ensure we do everything possible to support these heroes who are standing with Israel, fighting for freedom, and combating terrorism in the Middle East.”
“As our closest ally in the Middle East continues to defend itself against terror, many brave Americans have decided to lend a hand,” added Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio). “I’m proud that this legislation extends important protections to those Americans who chose to risk their lives in the fight against terror.” — Responsible Statecraft
Our Take: “How, exactly, is this not Treason?
I'm not trying to be cute in saying that.
Under US Code 2387, entitled ‘Activities affecting armed forces generally,’ which is found under Chapter 115—TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES, the exact language states:
’Whoever, with intent to interfere with, impair, or influence the loyalty, morale, or discipline of the military or naval forces of the United States: advises, counsels, urges, or in any manner causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty by any member of the military or naval forces of the United States;’
The exact language in the bill reads:
’IN GENERAL.— For purposes of this chapter, to the extent practicable, the service of a citizen of the United States in the Israeli Defense Forces shall be treated in the same manner as service in the uniformed services.’
I'd like to ask the countless veterans out there in the Badlands community: How do you feel about the fact that Congressional Republicans are now offering the same financial benefits afforded to US military service members, to members of a foreign military? Do you think this bill is intended to encourage US citizens possessing Israeli dual-citizenship to enlist in the IDF?
Typing those words out feels surreal, but logically speaking, it is not at all surprising. I have been saying that the Israeli ruling class controls Washington, and I can't imagine better evidence of that than this disgusting bill. (Except for maybe when that meathead, Brian Mast, wore his IDF uniform in Congress. Why are foreign citizens allowed to serve Congress? Maybe that's why Congress seems more loyal to foreign nations than to Americans?)
Under this bill, US citizens who enlist in the IDF would be given financial protections that are not afforded to US civilians, such as protection against home foreclosure, default judgements in legal cases, repossession of rental property and hiked interest rates while serving.
How many of you are struggling to pay your mortgage due to the inflation created by the money-laundering activities of Congress? Enlist in the IDF, and your home will be safe.
I know there are some in the America First movement who will perform Olympic-level mental gymnastics in order to justify this farce. Frankly, I don't think those people understand the meaning of the movement.” —

Russia begins nuclear drills in an apparent warning to West over Ukraine
Russia’s military on Tuesday began drills involving tactical nuclear weapons that were announced by Russian authorities earlier this month in an apparent warning to senior Western officials who had spoken about the possibility of deeper involvement in the war in Ukraine.
It was the first time Russia has publicly announced drills involving tactical nuclear weapons, although its strategic nuclear forces regularly hold exercises.
According to a statement by the Defense Ministry released Tuesday, the first stage of the new drills envisioned “practical training in the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons,” including nuclear-capable Kinzhal and Iskander missiles.
The maneuvers are taking place in the Southern Military District, which consists of Russian regions in the south, including on the border with Ukraine; Crimea, illegally annexed from Ukraine in 2014; and four Ukrainian regions that Russia illegally annexed in 2022 and partially occupies.
The drills were announced on May 6, with the Defense Ministry saying in a statement that they would come in response to “provocative statements and threats of certain Western officials regarding the Russian Federation.” — AP News
After Raisi’s Death, Elections Pose Tricky Test for Iran’s Rulers
For decades, Iran’s leaders could point to high voter turnouts in their elections as proof of the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic’s political system. But as voter turnout has plummeted in recent years, the election they will be now obliged to hold after the death of President Ebrahim Raisi will force the political establishment into a decision it does not want to make.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the country’s supreme leader, has two options, each carrying risks.
He could ensure that the presidential elections, which the Constitution mandates must happen within 50 days after Mr. Raisi’s death, are open to all, from hard-liners to reformists. But that risks a competitive election that could take the country in a direction he does not want.
Or he can repeat his strategy of recent elections, and block not only reformist rivals but even moderate, loyal opposition figures. That choice might leave him facing the embarrassment of even lower voter turnout, a move that would be interpreted as a stinging rebuke of his increasingly authoritarian state.
Voter turnout in Iran has been on a downward trajectory in the last several years. In 2016, more than 60 percent of the country’s voters participated in parliamentary elections. By 2020, the figure was 42 percent. Officials had vowed that the result this March would be higher — instead it came in at just below 41 percent. — The New York Times
Bill Maher: Some Of Transgenderism Is A "TikTok Challenge That Got Out Of Hand"
During an appearance on Fox News, liberal broadcaster Bill Maher asserted that in some cases, transgenderism is just a “TikTok challenge that got out of hand.”
Maher asserted that the United States was now an “outlier” when compared to other western nations given that European countries are now ditching things like puberty blockers for children.
“Liberalism is not the same thing as woke, woke they would like to think they’re an extension of liberalism, they’re not, I’m an old school liberal, it’s very often the opposite,” said Maher.
“And they think they’re going so far in the right direction and it actually turns out that they’re in the wrong direction and they’ve actually reversed it,” he added.” — Modernity News

Ashe: “trust will only be restored by demanding accountability for those who broke (and continue to break) that trust.”
The MSM constantly refers to “Trump’s enemies” and speculates on Trump’s retribution when he is back at the helm. Truth is that ‘Trump’s enemies’ are America’s enemies and Justice is not the same as retribution. This isn’t about payback; it is about restoring the rule of Constitutional Law.
Makes me wonder if “Colorado Commie legislator” Woodward has something to hide?

Anal SCHWAB is stepping down because he was Voluntold to step down. He pushed way too hard way too fast. Trump screwed up their plans BIGLY. This put their plans behind by 6 years. Mr. Eat Zee bugs went into warp speed (no pun intended) to implement their plans and fucked it all up. They never imagined that the world would reject their plans on such a large scale. Then you have those of us that been watching this for decades running around with our hair on fire trying to wake up the Normies. These 'people' (im really beginning to think these people are reptiles, lol, need me some of those "they live" glasses) just never accounted for the pushback. Buh Bye Anal Schwab...but dont let your guard down...his successor could be much worse than he ever was. Keep the pressure on Patriots.
