Badlands Media Special Coverage - State of the Union 2024
The team at
, including , , and covered the State of the Union address last night on Rumble, which should help you get through the actual, you know … State of the Union address itself. Our Take: “If you followed my Twitter during the State of the Union, you know that this speech made me pretty ragey.
The so called ruler of the United States (SCROTUS) demonized the majority of Americans, while our nation’s most despicable criminals cheered and squealed with glee.
He levied tacit threats at the US Supreme Court justices — which instantly trended on Twitter. You heard that right: SCROTUS threatened SCOTUS at the SOTU.
He called Laken Riley, ‘Lincoln Riley’ before suggesting that making it easier for migrants to enter the nation is the way to prevent more migrant murder. He propagated the myth of the Insurrection, and spent much of his time lying about how he was responsible for Donald Trump’s agenda and record.
He also told Americans that the economy is good, and that people can finally afford homes again. Who?! Who can afford milk or meat, let alone a house? He also unveiled a truckload of new spending priorities.
Our Badlands coverage had live fact checking with Trump’s Truths, and we carried Tucker Carlson’s live response directly following the speech. Tucker, to his credit, went hard on election fraud. He went farther than I’ve ever heard him go on the subject. (It still wasn’t far enough.)
I’m ready for the next Act of this awful movie. And that better be the last SOTU that SCROTUS ever gives.
Trump 2024.” —
Democrats launch SpaceX probe over Russian use of Starlink satellites
House Democrats are launching an investigation into Elon Musk's SpaceX over concerns that Russian forces have obtained the company's internet satellite terminals, per a letter sent Wednesday.
Why it matters: Ukraine has relied on SpaceX's Starlink in its counteroffensives against Russia, the letter said, and the U.S. government has poured resources into supporting Ukraine.
Starlink delivers high-speed broadband internet via a low Earth orbit to users all over the world.
Context: In 2023, Starlink entered a contract with the U.S. Defense Department to purchase 400 to 500 new Starlink terminals and services for Ukraine.
In February, Ukrainian authorities released intercepted audio communications between Russian forces indicating that they illegally deployed and activated Starlink terminals.
Threat level: "Russian procurement of, use of, or interference with Starlink terminals each has the potential to advance Russia's brutal and illegitimate invasion of Ukraine," the letter said.
Between the lines: Letters from the minority party requesting the voluntary turnover of information are often preludes to subpoenas once they retake the majority. — Axios
Our Take: “This week, we've seen the two biggest Mind-Movers in the Info War, Donald Trump and Elon Musk converge in the public Narrative almost entirely due to the reporting of the Media Industrial Complex that hates and fears them both.
This started with the NYT and other MSM outlets doing the sort of plane-fagging Anons made famous in order to suss out what moves the billionaire sovereign moguls might be up to as they continue to thumb their noses at the establishment.
While Musk tried to pour cold water on campaign funding narratives, he did nothing to dispel the notion that the two are coordinating and aligned in other ways.
Now, with the MSM shifting focus from political messaging to the Actual theater represented by Starlink, Department of Defense funding and international conflicts, things could get mighty juicy.
Many of us have argued that Musk didn't buy Twitter ... he seized it on behalf of the Sovereign Alliance.
The enemy knows this, too. And fears it.” —
Trump calls for debates with Biden after skipping GOP events
Former President Trump, who skipped out on the GOP primary debates, is calling on President Biden to face him on stage as the two gear up of for a rematch in November.
“It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People. Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!” Trump wrote Wednesday evening on Truth Social.
“The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response,” he added. “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
His urgency comes after former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) announced she would suspend her White House bid following decisive losses to Trump in the early primary and Super Tuesday contests.
Trump declined to participate in any of the Republican primary debates, even as the field shrunk to just two candidates. He repeatedly pointed to polls showing him with a commanding lead over the pool of candidates as a reason why he should not take the stage against his GOP rivals.
The former president said during a radio interview with Hugh Hewitt in December that he looks forward to debating Biden and suggested 10 debates. Trump also said last month that he would debate Biden as many times as necessary, because there’s an “obligation” for the two party front-runners to do so.
When asked about those comments last month, Biden told reporters, “If I were him, I would want to debate me, too.”
“He’s got nothing else to do,” the president said at the time.
The Biden campaign dismissed Trump’s call for debates as a way to seek attention. — The Hill
Our Take: “You gotta love the ‘after skipping GOP events’ addition to the headline, as though the fake primary contenders were ever a serious threat to 45. Trump was up as much as 70 pts on that clown car, and he is correct that debating that field is beneath him and a waste of his time.
While Team Biden is attempting to paint the 47th President as the weaker candidate, no one outside the MSNBC studios actually believes this. Trump is consistently packing stadiums, and he polls higher with black and brown voters than any Republican in modern history. Trump has expanded his 2020 coalition, as people long for the Trump economy, national security and border and foreign policy.
Biden, on the other hand, has a mid-30s approval rating, and refuses to face journalists without a handler and hyper-specific note cards that remind him to perform basic human functions. We’re all just watching to see if the potato can make it through the speech. (Update: He did … sort of.)
Worse, Jen Psaki tweeted Thursday that Biden hand selecting influencers to interview him — as opposed to facing a free and independent press — is indicative of both Biden’s strength and the changing societal communications landscape. Say what you want about Peppermint Patty, but that is a hell of an ambitious narrative deployment.
Debates will ensure a Trump win, because Biden cannot think of his feet, speak without talking points or, probably, comprehend the questions. He will also have to defend his record — against Trump’s — and convince the people not to believe their lived experiences, but to believe him instead. That would be tough for a skilled communicator with all his marbles. It’s a rhetorical death sentence for Biden.
This will be painful for Democrats, but highly entertaining for the remaining 80% of the nation. For that reason, we should demand debates. Joe is their guy, so they keep saying, which means they must prove that their guy is up to the task — in the arena, against his competition.
We all know that’s unlikely to happen, so the question really is: What excuse will Potato Biden provide for declining to debate President Trump? My money is on Maga Extremism combined with a gaslight that debates are no longer relevant or required in this ‘democracy.’ That’s especially appropriate considering that by ‘democracy’ they mean despotism.
Is it me, or is it all super predictable at this point?” —
New Bill Would Strip COVID-19 Vaccine Manufacturers Of Liability Protection
Legislation introduced on March 5 would strip COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers of liability protections, enabling Americans injured by the shots to sue the companies.
The bill, proposed by Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), would retroactively remove protections from the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) for COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers.
“No federal law ... may make the manufacturer of a COVID-19 vaccine immune from suit or liability, or limit the liability of such a manufacturer, with respect to claims for loss caused by, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from the administration to or the use by an individual of a COVID–19 vaccine,” the bill states.
The PREP Act currently protects manufacturers and people who administer the vaccines from liability, under a 2020 declaration entered by then-Health Secretary Alex Azar during former President Donald Trump’s administration in 2020. President Joe Biden’s administration has since extended the declaration.
The only exception to the PREP Act protection is in cases of death or serious injury caused by “willful misconduct.”
The protection even covers people who “reasonably could have believed” they were protected even if, in actuality, they were not, according to an opinion from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“Millions of Americans were forced to take a COVID-19 shot out of fear of losing their livelihoods and under false pretenses. Many have faced injury from the vaccine, but few have been afforded little recourse,” Mr. Roy said in a statement. — The Epoch Times
Our Take: “This comment from the ultra vaccine shill was my favourite:
’… our ability to address future public health threats will be at risk.’
Translation: ‘If you hold us accountable, we’ll stop developing bio weapons and using your own government and money to coerce you into taking them!!’
It’s crazy how people in this industry perceive themselves. They are so important to public health that they cannot be held accountable!
We sure could use the left to come back to its ‘Occupy Wall Street’ vibes and call out the raging corporatocracy or the literal fascism occurring between government and big pharma, here.
I have friends and family who are now employees for Bayer, Pfizer and Monsanto. I can confirm that awareness of what they are truly a part of borders on zero.
If this bill passes, my guess is that it won’t just be a victory because so many injured people need justice, but because it will destroy any future NWO plans to use the virus-vaccine Hegelian dialectic on us.
Whatever disease X, Billy Gates, WEF nonsense they have brewing will take a huge blow if this gets through. Eyes on.” —
Sweden joins NATO as war in Ukraine prompts security rethink
Sweden joined NATO in Washington on Thursday, two years after Russia's invasion of Ukraine forced it to rethink its national security policy and conclude that support for the alliance was the Scandinavian nation's best guarantee of safety.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson handed over the final documentation to the U.S. government on Thursday, the last step in a drawn-out process to secure the backing of all members to join the military alliance.
"Good things come to those who wait," U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said as he received Sweden's accession documents from Kristersson.
Blinken said “everything changed” after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, citing polls showing a massive shift in Swedish public opinion on joining NATO.
"Swedes realized something very profound: that if Putin was willing to try to erase one neighbor from the map, then he might well not stop there."
For NATO, the accessions of Sweden and Finland - which shares a 1,340-km (830-mile) border with Russia - are the most significant additions in decades. It is also a blow for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has sought prevent any further strengthening of the alliance.
Sweden will benefit from the alliance's common defence guarantee under which an attack on one member is regarded as an attack on all. — Reuters
Our Take: “I always find the framing of the Globalist media to be the best baseline through which to pour an initial foundational cypher with which to observe news in a given theater.
Where it comes to the accession of Sweden into the NATO fold (a move Russia has been warning against for years,) it's less about the Actual addition of the relatively inert military into a relatively inert kinetic power projection bloc, and much more about the Narrative said bloc is setting in order to 'sell' the move.
The "security rethink" framing here is deliberate, but I think it actually has the opposite effect. Rather than seeming like a reactive/defensive move, it reads like provocation to an increasing portion of the observing (and tense) Collective Mind.
You can learn a lot, watching things lie.
And I think we're learning that the EU has F'd around ... and that they've also found out, and no amount of members-only jackets are going to make a lick of difference to change that.” —
California Moves To Expand Zero-Down, Interest-Free Home Loan Program To Illegal Immigrants
A controversial bill that would let illegal immigrants receive the same kind of homebuyer assistance as U.S. citizens has advanced in the California state legislature, drawing criticism from those who object to granting perks to people who break the law by entering the country illegally.
The measure, Assembly Bill 1840, was first introduced in mid-January, and after several amendments, it advanced last week to the Committee on Housing and Community Development, where it awaits further action.
Assembly Bill 1840 would change existing law to allow illegal immigrants to be eligible for the California Dream for All Fund, which provides interest-free loans for a down payment on a home for first-time buyers.
The bill was introduced by California Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula, a Democrat, who last month told GV Wire, a Fresno-based news outlet, that he “wanted to ensure that qualified first-time homebuyers include undocumented applicants.”
Last week, as the bill advanced to committee after amendments, Mr. Arambula told the Los Angeles Times that, historically, homeownership has been the main way people accumulate generational wealth in the United States.
“The social and economic benefits of homeownership should be available to everyone,” he said, arguing that it’s wrong to exclude people from the benefits of the California Dream for All Fund program just because they’re illegal immigrants.
Some lawmakers expressed opposition to the measure as it moves closer to becoming law. — The Epoch Times
Our Take: “The façade that creating access to interest free home ownership for illegal immigrants is about families, or creating generational wealth, or compassion is such an incredible abuse of the American dream.
The hordes of single military aged men from China are not going to settle down and create multigenerational American families.
But of course, the abuse of the American dream is what the Deep State has been building up to this entire time. The perversion of ideals is the point. It’s scars the collective.
Which is of course why the bill refers to the California dream. The whole façade makes me think of the lyrics from the California Dreamin’ song:
Stopped into a church
I passed along the wav
Well, I got down on my knees
And I pretend to pray
Indeed … the people behind all of this are just the type to go into a church and pretend to pray.” —

Aileen Cannon's Latest Court Filing Raises Questions
Legal experts have debated the significance of the judge overseeing Donald Trump's classified documents trial describing two motions supporting the argument to dismiss the federal case as potentially being of "considerable" help.
On Thursday, Judge Aileen Cannon accepted two amicus briefs filed by the America First Legal Foundation group and former President Ronald Reagan's Attorney General Edwin Meese arguing that the case where Trump has pleaded not guilty to 40 charges over claims he illegally retained classified documents after he left office then obstructed the federal attempt to retrieve them be thrown out.
Cannon, who was nominated to the bench by Trump and been criticized for multiple judgments that have favored the former president in the classified documents case, accepted the amicus briefs, which are submitted by people not directly involved in a case but want to give their view on the issues at stake, for consideration.
In court filings, Cannon wrote that the arguments "may be of considerable help" to her, prompting suggestions the judge may be learning towards throwing out the federal case against the former president. — Newsweek
NY Times Faces Claims Of Hypocrisy Over Coverage Of The Deployment Of Troops
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has a right to be a tad confused. The senator noted the matter-of-fact coverage by The New York Times that Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s plan to send troops to New York City to crack down on crime. Cotton posted a “hmmm” note that simply read: “Sending in the troops to help restore law and order…” His point was that, roughly four years ago, the newspaper publicly denounced him after running his opinion piece calling for the use of national guard troops to quell violent riots in Washington.
The Cotton column led to editors being forced out after public confessions and recriminations. Now, after Democratic politicians actually ordered such a deployment, the Times has offered little more than a journalistic shrug.
Hochul announced she will be deploying 750 members of the National Guard to New York City’s subway system to assist the New York Police Department (NYPD) in the crackdown on crime, including bag searches at the entrances of busy train stations.
I have previously written on the hypocrisy of the Times in how it has handled the Cotton affair. The column itself was historically accurate. Indeed, critics never explained what was historically false (or outside the range of permissible interpretation) in the column. Moreover, writers Taylor Lorenz, Caity Weaver, Sheera Frankel, Jacey Fortin, and others said that such columns put black reporters in danger and condemned publishing Cotton’s viewpoint.
In a breathtaking surrender, the newspaper apologized and not only promised an investigation in how such an opposing view could find itself on its pages but promised to reduce the number of editorials in the future. — Jonathan Turley
