Regarding the October 7 attack, Israel has gone full tilt boogie on gun control, reversing their previous position of near universal armament to near universal disarmament of civilians. Considering that virtually all civilians there are IDF veterans, that is odd. A populous needs always to be ready for Red Dawn, or even Antifa. I had a few thoughts related on the issue:
Switzerland, which like Israel conscripts all of its citizens into military service (IIRC 2 years), requires all able-bodied citizens (men at least, not sure about women) to keep a full automatic FN-FAL assault rifle -- this is the standard military-issue rifle of the Swiss Army, just as the M-16 is for the US -- in their home, safely stored, with ammo, and to attend refresher training from time to time.
Basically the entire adult Swiss population is a militia or reserve or whatever you want to call it.
Nobody ever pulls any of this crap on the Swiss, do they? Only a government that does not trust its citizens restricts their right to self-defense.
Maybe Israel does not trust its citizens, because the government knows what is coming, and they know the Israeli people will not like it...
Interesting thought on the Israelies. Often if the gov wants to take away your guns it's because they want to do something for which you would shoot them.

It's nothing to do with attacking Hamas, which it seems the Israeli population supports.
Israel is also fully in the grips of the Cabal, and [their] plans include stripping people of their rights, implementing CBDCs, forever wars, vax passports, eating bugs, no carbon fuels, etc. etc. If (when) their government does those things, Israelis (like people everywhere) will not be happy. If they all have M-16s in their safe, and ammo, and know how to use them (which as IDF veterans, they will), then the government cannot be sure of maintaining control.
An armed populace is a free populace. A disarmed populace is enslaved and controlled. The 2nd Amendment is not about deer hunting or marksmanship competitions. It is about defending the People from enemies, foreign and domestic. Including, if things get out of hand enough, their own government.
