Nice job, Joe. As you understand, I only have a personal view into certain aspects of the IC. One story that has not been told is the true NSA part of the story. The NSA story begins with a gentleman by the name of General Hayden. General Hayden at first was thought to be a good guy. But as time went on, he showed that he worked fully for Mr. Obama. My involvement with General Hayden started right after 911. NSA had been given a very large amount of money to correct the problems found by the 911 commission. NSA began a program named Trailblazer. this program was supposed to build a capability for the various agencies to communicate together. The money was not well spent. I sat in the office that was supposed to direct this program and I never saw any effort to spend the money. I was assigned to direct a smaller trailblazer program that would use current technologies that could connect all agencies at a lower cost. I delivered a workable solution. However, that solution was never funded or implemented. General Hayden then was assigned to be the head of CIA. He took many of the NSA developed technologies that when legally used were proper technologies and gave these technologies to the CIA. General Hayden then oversaw the use of the NSA technologies to be used against the American people. Much of Obama gate, Russia, gate, and crossfire hurricane can be traced to General Hayden becoming the head of CIA. This is the story is one that has never been told. Trailblazer probably was an early money laundering program for Mr. Obama. General Hayden, one of the 51 signers of the document regarding Hunter Biden‘s computer, is someone who needs to be looked at with regard to all these issues.

There is a significant difference in strategy in game theory with a zero-sum game - meaning "pure conflict" and "all or nothing" - than for a non-zero sum game. In a zero-sum game a minimax strategy can stymie the opponent. (h/t Thomas Schelling)

It seems that the cabal was playing with zero-sum game rules not realizing that the directed communications within their systems had created an environment were negotiations had already reset the board - and Mr. Trump was all about it. What is even more revealed is that Mr. Trump was engaged in both types of strategies with the various players simultaneously and even forced strategic shifts with any one enemy based on developments with another. (Which strictly stated, bends the theory altogether into a bit of a pretzel - amazing!)

Once again Mr. Lange your use of logic is superb - all the best to you!!

Speaking of zero sum gains. 35 years ago a very reputable president of our energy company told me the Left looks at America as a zero sum game and that is the bottom line concerning their screwed up opinions on almost everything. He said they believe for every winner there have to be losers and that is why America must be stopped from growing so fast. They knew that energy in all forms is the key and they needed to stop our growth by killing off energy expansion.

Nuclear had to be stopped. The underlying idea was to use the environment to kill off coal and the threat of catastrophe to stop nuclear. So, renewables were the answer. Not because they were better, but because they were not going to allow America to grow and give second and third level countries enough time to catch up. That is how they deal with zero sum.

Businessmen know that our free enterprise system is not zero sum. It is growing exponentially over time and it benefits everyone who participates.

So, 35 years later I get to finally see a leader who recognizes the real problem. It is stupidity at the highest level. But, Democrats still get elected because so few Americans understand the beauty of compound growth. The ignorant always fall for the convincing lie rather than an irrefutable truth.

Well said by your acquaintance and yourself! Thank you for sharing!

Schelling suggested (late '50's) that Nash's work distracted the mathematicians from the "real world of negotiations" (he was not blaming Nash, just those who stopped too soon in their understanding of his limited applications). The opposite of pure conflict (zero-sum) would be pure cooperation and he asserted that neither approach worked well for him as a diplomat and negotiator.

So it makes sense that President Trump, as a dealmaker, would opt away from the two extremes.

PS - I have grown to consider "innovation" the cure for closed system entropy - so, in a manner of speaking, a method of converting a closed system into a modified open system. Or converting a zero-sum game into a partially cooperative endeavor. Maybe a slight overstatement...but I will stick with it for now.

Expand full comment
Wild Bill's avatar

Correct, HGV. Innovation allows the goods produced per unit input to increase, thus enlarging the pot. And as Jim said, it is exponential -- i.e., it increases by a similar percent each year. This is the basis of compound growth, which defeats [their] zero-sum game.

And the true wonder of innovation and the compound growth it creates, is that this is the natural state of the human condition, if government leaves us alone. The more government (which creates nothing and is the very definition of a zero-sum game, at its best) tries to 'manage' the economy or any part of it, the worse things get.

Government must be limited to doing things we cannot (easily at least) do for ourselves. Policing, for instance, which includes things like secure borders and possibly a standing army to discourage aggression by foreign hostiles.

Other things, including planning for our retirement for example, are best left to the People. The Framers understood this, and indeed this is the very basis of the US Constitution.

And much of the stuff government can do for us is best managed at the local level. The Framers also understood this, which is why the list of things the federal government is allowed to do is limited only to things the states cannot do themselves. Thus, things like a Department of Education are actually unconstitutional because the Constitution does not allow the feds to regulate this activity. The Constitution is what is called a 'negative covenant,' in that only things specifically authorized to the feds may be done by the feds. All else is reserved "to the States respectively, or to the people" in the Tenth Amendment.

Expand full comment
Jim Schout's avatar

Thank you, Wild Bill! You have just defined the reasons for everything Democrats do. The best our government can be is a non-profit organization so compound growth of government is not a factor to the success of America. But, look at the compound growth of our damned government! It is growing at double the rate of GDP!

That is the Democrat plan! They intend to break America by slowing it down, intentionally. The problem is our citizens are not taught the math behind America’s success. That has to change quickly because we are on a death spiral. Business has been able to generate more profit than the Left can steal. But there is a limit and $37 Trillion of debt is getting us there at an accelerating pace.

Trump knows this, but he isn’t explaining it rationally. He is just trying to fix a system that is seriously broken, but not dead yet.

Margot Wooster's avatar

Oh, I think Pres. Trump has MUCH bigger plans than "trying to fix a system that is seriously broken". We must be patient. It is a matter of (God's) timing. We will see!

Of particular interest is your call out of "rationally" - which as our math PhD son reminded me yesterday is a math concept often used as a synonym of "logically" or reasonably when in truth it means to be done in measurable portions. Our topic was nihilism, hedonism and morality theory. 🤯

Please look into the connection of Eric Ciaramella to Hunter Biden’s Ukraine funny business. What got my attention in impeachment #1 was that connection that has never been made and why Eric Ciaramella had to be kept secret.

This goes back to the Obama WhiteHouse in 2015 shortly after it became clear that Trump was likely the Republican candidate for president. Eric Ciaramella was assigned to run interference to cover up the Hunter Biden debacle with Burisma. He began the idea of Russia connections to divert attention away from Ukraine. He put forward the Paul Manafort-Russia collusion in an attempt to discredit Trump.

The problem is none of it worked and Trump was elected and it all just went away. That is until the “Perfect Phone Call” that led to the first impeachment. Trump brought it all back to the front burner and that is why Vindman panicked and got Eric back on board! The shit was already in the fan blades.

I have been waiting six years for the facts to come out, but the Eric Ciaramella/Hunter Biden link is still missing. I think it is key to the whole picture.

I’ve seen some of that in my research but haven’t gone down the rabbit hole on him.

Maybe after I’m done with this series, I’ll go down that rabbit hole.

By the way, all of Eric Ciaramella’s meetings with our government officials and Ukrainian representatives are documented because the conference rooms were officially booked and the meeting notes were public.

This was all discussed in detail around the summer of 2016 and tied into the Seth Rich murder. All of this movie has been scripted long before anyone thought it was a movie.

Every time the facts begin to become clear to those of us following it closely, a new totally different catastrophe pops up to change the subject. Within weeks the original story that was just missing one or two pieces of detail is off the news and forgotten…except by those of us who still want the puzzle pieces filled in.
