The NDAA's potential to return some of the profits of American companies to the American people instead of just as kickbacks to politicians seems vaguely improper at first glance but actually fits the real world quite well. Our past hesitancy in this regard has led more than a few times to the more troubling situation in which the government competes with private industry.
It will be interesting to see whether Sen. Sanders supports this, or if TDS drives him to change course.
Think about how this plan could have changed America in 1935. If the Social Security revenues had been invested in American corporations instead of being spent by Congress like other tax revenues, we would not have a $40 Trillion debt today.
Two things are key. 1) The shares must be non-voting shares so Congress and our Treasury has no influence in the company decision making. And, 2) The business is prohibited from lobbying Congress for new business ideas.
In other words, every American citizen becomes a stockholder in the business and benefits from the company’s profitability. Think how that would change the attitude of a citizen.
Trump is ahead of the whole thing by creating his new born accounts and putting $1000 in each one to get our youth on board before they even start using the toilet. This is how the Golden Age starts.
With these two requirements, it definitely has potential! Thank you for pointing out the correct (and ethical) way to do this. Maybe like the checks Alaskans get….?
Contention: USG taking a voting/controlling role in miltech companies is preferable, for several reasons:
1. These companies already leverage DOD/DARPA intellectual property for the products they build, which are either a) fulfilling DOD contracts or b) under USG export controls.
2. The private-sector tension is around what percentage of corporate revenue can be siphoned off to enrich the shareholders. It is the fiduciary duty of corporate officers to do so. It is the duty of USG contracting officers to hold the contractors responsible for meeting the terms of the contract, however when there is a sole provider of a product, and the budget is assigned by politicians, the contracting officer cannot do their job in holding the corporation responsible.
Putting the USG on the corporate board means the USG, which is paying the bills, now has actual capability to steer the implementation of its interests, and if the corporation bleeds cash into shareholders, at least it gets a cut, but preferably investment decisions can prioritize the interests of the US instead of ... whomever else.
Further, the current deplorable state of the US miltech sector is mostly explained by the intense consolidation that its undergone starting in the '80s but mostly the '90s. Where there used to be a half-dozen or more viable contractors for any one area of work, now it's down to three--or often two. Meanwhile, contractor actual capability has gone DOWN, not up--they shed the people who knew how to do things at both the management and technical layer, while shuttering redundant manufacturing. Reversing this trend means either a) breaking up the monopolies, or b) building smaller firms able to act as more nimble, cheaper and less public-market-beholden alternatives. The NDAA DOD investment provisions make it feasible to step up a tiny company around some kernel of expertise and DARPA license, and then DOD takes a seat to ensure you're not immediately eaten by Raytheon.
Another way of looking at it: the DOD gets the same provision the CIA did with its investment arm, which funneled money into the likes of all the tech-bros who now provide AI and data infrastructure to the USG as de-facto USG offices. Those tech oligarchs are leashed to USG interests by their investment and contract ties, which makes them more responsive to USG concerns (see: Anthropic) even as it gives them enormous influence within the USG itself.
Let’s look inside of a typical KKK meeting in 2023. 10 guys attended the typical meeting, three were from the SPLC, four were FBI, and three were normal citizens attending to try to keep the radicals from doing something stupid. No one there was truly a KKK fan but they all coughed up the $20 fee and talked about how to promote the KKK.
It would interesting to know which one proposed kidnapping the governor of Michigan and laid out a rational plan that the other nine agreed to. I am willing to bet it was an FBI agent. I also bet the three normal citizens were devil’s advocates questioning the whole idea because they were the sane ones in the room not carrying a hidden agenda. The problem was no one could admit they were plants to undermine the whole thing from the inside.
I am pleased to find my brain in sync with the Bee!
The KKK was a Democrat organization when it was formed after the South lost the Civil War. They needed to blame someone so they chose the Black population. Their convoluted logic said the Civil War would not have been lost if the slaves didn’t exist, so the ex-slaves were to blame, not the Democrats.
Here we are in 2026 with Democrats still using convoluted logic for their basic premises. I hope we are finally proving they have been on the wrong side of sanity since 1866.
I doubt that will happen (realizing that you made this comment in jest).
But, there is NO WAY in God's Green Earth that this SPLC case makes it to trial. I don't even think they will get very far in discovery before someone shuts the whole mess down.
There's just way too much dirty laundry there, that would burn too many asses all around DC, the South and for that matter, the rest of the good ol' USA.
[They] cannot afford to have any of that exposed, so this case (series of cases, likely) will never see the light of day. One way or another, it will be sh!tcanned. And all of the 3 letter agencies' dirty deals will be hidden, perhaps for another day and another 'deal.'
SPLC, et al - this is where we need to start demanding transparency.
NDAA -- what will stop members of Congress from utilizing this for insider trading to also invest in said companies? I hope there are strict parameters set up with this.
"During sentencing, Judge Lynn Adelman said the punishment should reflect Dugan’s lengthy public service and characterized the incident as an isolated lapse in judgment." I call BullS**t on this. That wasn't an ISOLATED lapse in judgment. That was done with complete forethought. However, judgment cometh before a completely impartial judge one day. And she, and we, will have to answer for our actions.
Syria - This one is interesting. If we are looking at a multi-polar world with countries gaining sovereignty, then this is a good thing. I am wondering about all the quiet deals we haven't heard about yet. I do agree with multi-polarity and nations achieving their own sovereignty. But I also know that evil will try to corrupt and pervert.
Our Boy Rutte -- I wonder at his motives, but I do like him. And once again he proves that NATO is an entity in name only. Impotent, perhaps?
Trump's response to Spain - sometimes I feel like PT is no different from the rest. His response, on the surface level, doesn't seem to allow for disagreement. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I really like what he is doing.....and yet......people don't have to agree with everything he does. I don't know everything he knows. I am fully aware of that. However, if a country doesn't like what he is doing, they should be able to freely state they don't agree. He can always take his ball and go home. Let the world fend for itself then.
If the government invests in private defense companies, would the government receive dividends? Perhaps this is another way of POTUS generating income, like the tariffs?
I share Ashe's anger at the slap on the wrist for Hannah Dugan. She should have gotten jail time.
Of course the government will receive the dividends which means you and I will receive them! Better yet, as the share price grows over time, the government will have an asset that is experiencing the compound growth of the corporations they own.
The down side is that asset can go down in value of the share price declines for some reason, but that doesn’t matter because the government isn’t selling, it just buys and holds a very small percentage of the total shares. The market will still be in control, so this idea is not Socialist nor Fascist. It does put government and business on the same side of prosperity instead of a government that is only good at losing money.
—-Me, too, Ashe. ‘How many of the alleged klansmen in question were actually SPLC. Do you think the fake racists were the most vocal and action oriented racists?’ All I know is many low key conservative Christian groups were added to their hate map over a very short period of time. THAT’s when I started questioning everything…..long before the past 10 years. I’d love to attend some of this trial if it’s in Montgomery.
—-Thank you, Ghost, for pointing out the obvious (to folks here, anyway). The State Department has been in on all of the CIA’s various regime change activities, joined at the hip. And, neither has worked for the American citizens.
—-Typically government/private sector relationships morph into a fascist government, one Americans loath. BB brings up some good points, however. It would be beneficial to have the profits here vs off-shore banks. The exponential jump in technology will require a change in options. I sincerely pray you are correct! ‘…that bears the hallmarks of both, but fully encapsulates neither.’ You’ve got a great track record!
—-Ah, the judge. ‘…the punishment should reflect Dugan’s lengthy public service and characterized the incident…’. This phase definitely has multiple consequences and I suspect she’s not going to like the other ones in a true justice phase. Ashe, that is when they’ll be caught, after everyone realizes the farce of our current 2-tier system. (We have it all.). These readers have long memories, too.
—-Hmmm….always a terrorist. Islam as a death cult? There is a branch that fits this, but Ghost asks the pertinent question, ‘Perhaps it is time to consider placing Israel on this list?’ Or was Gaza not a genocide? Even with no MSM reporting, it certainly appears to be that.
—-So many things still in flux, but the cabal’s desperation at this point is obviously increasing. Thank you, dedicated Badlanders, each one of you!
Your last two points tie directly together. Israel is probably the cabal's last, best remaining controlled asset. And of course they've been involved in crimes against humanity. Gaza just the freshest in our memory.
Long gone is the time when Israel could convince the world that it is a beacon of freedom and justice for all. The excuse 'fighting for survival' is getting long in the tooth.
I agree, Wild Bill. In fact, I believe the plan involved using the cloak of Judaism to mask the true role of Israel, desired and planned long in advance of creating Israel as a state. I consider this same group likely planned the Nazi genocide to help garner strength for their ‘cloak’. Christians, too, have been duped to accept this cloak; not only to hide the true purpose, but also to ensure profitable assistance from the US (to fund their goals, to obtain weaponry and high tech from unwitting Americans & to help keep divides between factions here). The true goal and role of Israel (IMHO) has been to have the top seat of the global feudal government. The actions both here and abroad seem to support my theory. Time will tell, and we do know God wins….within His timeline and His path.
Ghost, I find your theory about Maduro being a “good guy” fascinating and I have followed your thinking on it from the immediate aftermath of his capture, which you saw as a negotiated surrender rather than a hostile takeover, suggesting Maduro is actually a cooperating witness working in coordination with Trump.
From Brave AI:
“ The Official Record (Operation Absolute Resolve):

Pre-Existing Assets: The CIA reportedly had a spy in Maduro’s inner circle and ground teams tracking him since August 2025, rendering his post-capture cooperation unnecessary for the operation itself.

Public Stance: Maduro has publicly declared himself a "prisoner of war" and pleaded not guilty to narco-terrorism charges, which contradicts the behavior of a cooperating witness actively providing intelligence”
Ghost, you might want to check out Brave’s AI on the search I did:
“GhostofBasedPatrickHenry theory that Maduro is a good guy working clandestinely with Trump”
to verify it’s accuracy on your Take.
I myself originally kept an open mind on your take re Maduro because I thought he had deep Intel on the election fraud.
And maybe he does…but I have since moved on to the deeply criminal network in the EU coordinating with our DeepState for the darkest rabbit hole involving election theft/control.
I caught that earlier this morning. Maria Zack seemed very credible…but considering that Trump knows a whole lot more than we do, I think it is possible those threats have been taken care of and in such a way that the people with their fingers on the trigger don’t know that and are allowed to assume they still have that play. A Checkmate move perhaps when the timing is right?
But…if their evil threats happen…well, see you on the other side 😉
I can’t imagine the weight of the world Trump carries on his shoulders! 🙏🕊
It is also possible that Trump will arrange release through independent channels. Venezuela, for instance -- a lot of the election management software was developed there, so it is plausible that VZ's 'new' government knows enough about what happened to tell the story without [them] being able to blame Trump.
We shall see... interesting times and it's great that Trump does not seem to be too much weighed down by the burden. If anything, he seems energized by it. He was born for this time, I believe. 💖🙏🕊🕊🕊
Yeah, this election management stuff is world-wide... somewhere I saw 72 countries have been controlled, they said 32 by CIA and 40 by CCP, or maybe it was the other way around. Best to just get rid of those machines and count by hand. At least for federal office. If California wants to count their ballots for dogcatcher using machines, fine.
Let’s just call the State Department what it actually is: the cover for intelligence agencies-TCFIA. Electoral changes sounds and looks good but aren’t real.
The issue I have with the proposed NDAA is similar to that I have with government pension funds at the state level when they invest in private equity. As a taxpayer I am the 'insurance' for the plan with no say in the matter how things are handled. PE on paper looks good, but underneath it carries more volatility, higher fees, and a lack of transparency - the equity guys march in a single line carrying the company line. Cheerleaders of the Damned. In public pensions, the trustees owe fiduciary duty to pensioners - they take risks because taxpayers guarantee the system yet have no fiduciary protection. They are essentially the insurer with no rights. Granted, the issue exists with public company investments, but at least that information is public. If I run a company and offer a 401(k), I am mandated to ensure that the investments are safe because ultimately employees are the backstop as is the company/owners because 401(k) are governed by ERISA. Pensions do not have this level of scrutiny.
The NDAA is the same thing but at the federal level. I have not read the details in full, but given the DOGE mission, it needs to be written to act in both the interest of national security and taxpayers. And that can be done. You could require that any company receiving federal equity have SEC-like disclosures. Caps could be set on PE. Taxpayer representation on boards. Public reporting so the public gets the framework without the details.
Most of these companies (perhaps all) are already publicly traded so meet all of the SEC disclosure requirements. I don't believe any of them are early-stage PE style investments, though I can see possible cases where such investments might make strategic sense. And there might be reasons for these investments not to be disclosed or accounted for.
That might require a different investment vehicle, but we should keep an open mind regarding all of the possible reasons the FedGov might reasonably want to invest in companies -- and not all of those reasons are for the financial benefit of the taxpayer. Other potential benefits also exist.
Mmmm, Machado wants in just as MI6 is flying over planeloads of White Helmets to NGO Venezuela good and hard? How odd. (Those poor people, there....)
The habit of using the private sector to do things forbidden to government must stop; all obligations on government extend to all contractors, which includes entities providing data sets. This needs litigation.
Similarly, if the private sector creates a narrative (report, or whatever) that is based on entrapment, illegal behaviour by its employees, fraud or is fraudulent in its presentation, that NGO's officers and staff ought to be guilty of lying to Federal officers, at minimum--a serious offense. This needs litigation.
Unfortunately, the subjective "good citizen discount" will continue to erode the forest of civil society until nothing stops the winds of natural justice. Similarly, who has the will to throw away the ring of unlimited government power, when they have the chance to wear it?
What in the heck and where in the heck does our country get the right to dictate who buys Iran’s oil? BS
“The latest escalation follows Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting the United States to strike more than 80 targets inside Iran and revoke a license permitting Iranian oil sales.”
Thank you Badlands team for your daily updates. Much appreciated. To share my mindset, that has been developed over many years…we are dealing globally with “leadership” that has been dominated by a group of spoiled children and inherited wealth, that has overpowered natural human instincts to preserve and defend the basic sovereignty of ALL peoples (basic Yehoshua teachings?). To illustrate…I would offer this humorous depiction. Make of it what you will. Love as always from here ❤️.
