People think that Libertarians, especially 'principles' ones or self proclaimed ones will automatically vote Republican. That is and always has been false. Their political leanings have always been with the Democrats. While watching the Kentucky election results in 2016, I noticed something in one of the state races: Democrats manipulated the vote totals in their favor (nothing new), but they stole votes from the Libertarian Party. The Party said nothing.
I think that the Libertarians always believed in free markets, but so do Democrats to some extent. This whole idea of pivoting left on domestic issues, such as trans rights, while being to the right on economic issues was a smokescreen. If you notice what the Administration is doing: Trump's a sovereign wealth fund is being used to invest or jump start certain industries by taking non-voting sometimes significant stakes in companies, many of them publicly traded. Libertarians would argue that this is a form of big government and oppose it. I am not sure as the stakes to my knowledge are by agreement non-voting or too small to have voting rights, and also are not on the Board of said companies.
Previously governments have used grants as a way to mold corporations to bend to their will. With a new sheriff in town, such knee bending to woke ideology has stopped and woke recipients of government grants are now being told, be woke, lose money. Although the government could theoretically force a company to bow to government ideology by threatening to unload their holdings (thus depressing the stock price), corporate behavior so far has not shown that this type of leverage can change a corporation's direction, at least not publicly.
Libertarians have always taken positions that do not make sense economically and think that policies that work on a local level, where libertarianism can work also work on a national or international level. I am of the opinion that Trump is actually more libertarian than those self-proclaimed libertarians because his economic policies emphasize fairness and free market solutions to mold economic growth. While the jury is still out on the practicality of investing in preferred companies, it is definitely the way big money molds the economic development of a nation and it isn't a grant where the government calls the shots. Unless the government's stake is very large, their voice is no more important than other big money investors in a company.
Big name libertarians fade from history precisely because what they want nationally is impractical and that is why many times they vote with the Democrats. Carlson's true colors have emerged and IMO is using Trump's friendship with Israel to break with him, something I knew would happen the moment that the Iran operation revealed itself as a psyop.
Just yesterday Bernie Sanders was ranting to a large crowd that the problem in America is Corporations do not pay their fair share of taxes. In fact, he claimed most pay no tax at all. This is Socialist-Democrat story that Trump is killing.
I have been studying this whole argument with real data beginning in about 1925. What it shows is how everything changed in 1935 that no one sees and the experts never mention. Before 1935 our government was funded by tariffs, the income tax and corporation taxes. But starting in 1935 a new source came into existence. That was Social Security taxes.
So, here is the chart that my data graphs out. In 1935 the tax revenues were 50% income tax and 50% corporate tax(including tariffs) and 0% S/S. From 1935 until 1990 the percentages changed. Ever so slowly the percentage from S/S grew from zero to over 40% while the corporate taxes dropped from 50% to under 10%! From 1990 to 2026 the corporate total tax revenue fluctuated between 8% and 10% of the total revenues. From 1935 to 2026 individual income taxes stayed very steady at 50% year after year.
So, what has happened over the last 100 years is the public has been fooled into thinking corporations are not paying their share and are evil cheaters. Bernie said so yesterday!
But, if we are just honest and look at the reality, business paid 100% of every dime of tax paid to our government. That is a fact. Business creates jobs and jobs earn income and that income gets taxed. Also, business makes money to stay in business, that profit is taxed but it also might pay dividends to shareholders. That dividend income is taxed and paid by the individual. Thus, my chart proves beyond all reasonable doubt that Democrats are lying about business. They invented our tax system to confuse us and it worked. We still elect the corrupt socialist liars because we are confused and believe the lies.
That is exactly what President Trump is proving to America daily. Instead of vilifying business he is merely showing how important business is to America’s success. Way too many citizens are ignorant of that simple fact. This isn’t hard to prove if we just look at the government’s accounting since 1925. It is easily found, well documented, and the accounting is perfect.
I love using the government to defeat itself. Government is our problem. More accurately Democrat government is our enemy.
Democrats inserted themselves between business and the workers for the business with the income tax. Then, they further inserted themselves in 1935 with entitlements. As the entitlements increased in expense the Democrats called to raise tax rates. The burden was being shifted to business that pays all of the taxes.
Then, in a total show of hubris, they actually called to raise business taxes! Those fools decided to cut out the middleman who was themselves! Why screw around with us measly tax payers? Go right to the real source of the money. But by that time our citizens were totally convinced that they were actually paying the taxes. Heck, I worked for over 30 years before I figured this out by drawing a simple graph using government data.
The solution is to cut out our middleman and put the citizen directly into benefitting from owning a piece of the business that funds everything. The government cannot hold a voting interest because that is Fascism. But, owning a part of the business gains income that funds our entitlements without politicians corrupting the system.
That is my point. It is the reason why I believe that no matter how big the government's stake is, they need to be non-voting so they can't influence the direction of the company. However, taking a stake through the Sovereign Wealth Fund, is IMO a legitimate use of the money. It is also the reason why I believe Bessent, despite his background with Soros is one of the best choices he made.
There is another take on Tucker. It might be in the Kayfabe realm. When the fallout started, Trump still needed to walk a narrow diplomatic line with Israel…so stage a falling out divide with Tucker Carlson (still popular) and let Tucker carry on the overt anti-Zionism narrative that Trump couldn’t engage in yet at the time. I listened to most of it at the time it cane out. Parts of it went behind a paywall. Anyone who was subscribed to Danny Jones Patreon account could get the whole interview. Kruse talked about JFK and his murder. I believe this is the interview I watched.

Wonder what's going to happen to Tucker Carlson, MTG, Candace Owens and the other "Trump is Netanyahu's lapdog" crowd? Noticed that two of them are no longer Republicans. People think that Libertarians, especially 'principles' ones or self proclaimed ones will automatically vote Republican. That is and always has been false. Their political leanings have always been with the Democrats. While watching the Kentucky election results in 2016, I noticed something in one of the state races: Democrats manipulated the vote totals in their favor (nothing new), but they stole votes from the Libertarian Party. The Party said nothing.
I think that the Libertarians always believed in free markets, but so do Democrats to some extent. This whole idea of pivoting left on domestic issues, such as trans rights, while being to the right on economic issues was a smokescreen. If you notice what the Administration is doing: Trump's a sovereign wealth fund is being used to invest or jump start certain industries by taking non-voting sometimes significant stakes in companies, many of them publicly traded. Libertarians would argue that this is a form of big government and oppose it. I am not sure as the stakes to my knowledge are by agreement non-voting or too small to have voting rights, and also are not on the Board of said companies.
Previously governments have used grants as a way to mold corporations to bend to their will. With a new sheriff in town, such knee bending to woke ideology has stopped and woke recipients of government grants are now being told, be woke, lose money. Although the government could theoretically force a company to bow to government ideology by threatening to unload their holdings (thus depressing the stock price), corporate behavior so far has not shown that this type of leverage can change a corporation's direction, at least not publicly.
Libertarians have always taken positions that do not make sense economically and think that policies that work on a local level, where libertarianism can work also work on a national or international level. I am of the opinion that Trump is actually more libertarian than those self-proclaimed libertarians because his economic policies emphasize fairness and free market solutions to mold economic growth. While the jury is still out on the practicality of investing in preferred companies, it is definitely the way big money molds the economic development of a nation and it isn't a grant where the government calls the shots. Unless the government's stake is very large, their voice is no more important than other big money investors in a company.
Big name libertarians fade from history precisely because what they want nationally is impractical and that is why many times they vote with the Democrats. Carlson's true colors have emerged and IMO is using Trump's friendship with Israel to break with him, something I knew would happen the moment that the Iran operation revealed itself as a psyop.
Just yesterday Bernie Sanders was ranting to a large crowd that the problem in America is Corporations do not pay their fair share of taxes. In fact, he claimed most pay no tax at all. This is Socialist-Democrat story that Trump is killing.
I have been studying this whole argument with real data beginning in about 1925. What it shows is how everything changed in 1935 that no one sees and the experts never mention. Before 1935 our government was funded by tariffs, the income tax and corporation taxes. But starting in 1935 a new source came into existence. That was Social Security taxes.
So, here is the chart that my data graphs out. In 1935 the tax revenues were 50% income tax and 50% corporate tax(including tariffs) and 0% S/S. From 1935 until 1990 the percentages changed. Ever so slowly the percentage from S/S grew from zero to over 40% while the corporate taxes dropped from 50% to under 10%! From 1990 to 2026 the corporate total tax revenue fluctuated between 8% and 10% of the total revenues. From 1935 to 2026 individual income taxes stayed very steady at 50% year after year.
So, what has happened over the last 100 years is the public has been fooled into thinking corporations are not paying their share and are evil cheaters. Bernie said so yesterday!
But, if we are just honest and look at the reality, business paid 100% of every dime of tax paid to our government. That is a fact. Business creates jobs and jobs earn income and that income gets taxed. Also, business makes money to stay in business, that profit is taxed but it also might pay dividends to shareholders. That dividend income is taxed and paid by the individual. Thus, my chart proves beyond all reasonable doubt that Democrats are lying about business. They invented our tax system to confuse us and it worked. We still elect the corrupt socialist liars because we are confused and believe the lies.
That is exactly what President Trump is proving to America daily. Instead of vilifying business he is merely showing how important business is to America’s success. Way too many citizens are ignorant of that simple fact. This isn’t hard to prove if we just look at the government’s accounting since 1925. It is easily found, well documented, and the accounting is perfect.
I love using the government to defeat itself. Government is our problem. More accurately Democrat government is our enemy.
Democrats inserted themselves between business and the workers for the business with the income tax. Then, they further inserted themselves in 1935 with entitlements. As the entitlements increased in expense the Democrats called to raise tax rates. The burden was being shifted to business that pays all of the taxes.
Then, in a total show of hubris, they actually called to raise business taxes! Those fools decided to cut out the middleman who was themselves! Why screw around with us measly tax payers? Go right to the real source of the money. But by that time our citizens were totally convinced that they were actually paying the taxes. Heck, I worked for over 30 years before I figured this out by drawing a simple graph using government data.
The solution is to cut out our middleman and put the citizen directly into benefitting from owning a piece of the business that funds everything. The government cannot hold a voting interest because that is Fascism. But, owning a part of the business gains income that funds our entitlements without politicians corrupting the system.
That is my point. It is the reason why I believe that no matter how big the government's stake is, they need to be non-voting so they can't influence the direction of the company. However, taking a stake through the Sovereign Wealth Fund, is IMO a legitimate use of the money. It is also the reason why I believe Bessent, despite his background with Soros is one of the best choices he made.
Bessent is definitely saying all of the right things. And, he is making the correct moves so far.
There is another take on Tucker. It might be in the Kayfabe realm. When the fallout started, Trump still needed to walk a narrow diplomatic line with Israel…so stage a falling out divide with Tucker Carlson (still popular) and let Tucker carry on the overt anti-Zionism narrative that Trump couldn’t engage in yet at the time. A lot of what Tucker was discussing re Israel and the Zionist regime, isn’t so far from what we see playing out now.
When I first heard this take on youtube interviews (which by now I don’t remember - guests on Nino and even Rich Does Politics for examples that I recall) it resonated with me as a strong possibility.
