In defense of both Bushes and Obama, they were caught up in the system that had evolved since 1871…and before. Slavery was a fact of life in the South and eliminating it was not a popular idea. The Democrats were willing to go to war against the North to hold on to their economic system.

In defense of both Bushes and Obama, they were caught up in the system that had evolved since 1871…and before. Slavery was a fact of life in the South and eliminating it was not a popular idea. The Democrats were willing to go to war against the North to hold on to their economic system.
Abraham Lincoln thought the North would easily put down the rebellion in a few months, but he underestimated the dedication of the other side to slavery. But, the ones dying on the other side were the ones who owned no slaves! They were primarily small farmers who had large families to tend their acreage. They were told the fight was over state’s rights, not slavery because they had no interest in that fight. But, Yankees coming and stealing their crops was worth fighting about.
The Civil War was perpetrated by misdirection on both sides. The news papers were key in perpetuating the stories. Why? That is the real question that I have never been able to answer.
Anyway, both the North and the South were bankrupted by that war. Was that the goal? It is key in answering our present crazy situation in my opinion. It all fits!

That was my personal experience. Things didn’t seem to add up and to actually make sense. For instance, how can we go $2 Trillion in debt annually and already hold $40 Trillion in debt and still be able to borrow more money?
When I started asking that question the national debt was maybe $6 Trillion. It was a number of years ago but I watched our Congress solve the problem by exporting our manufacturing to China and using the trade deficit to pay for their deficit spending.
I wrote about it in our local paper and a lot of people stopped me on the street to tell me how they agreed! But, nothing changed. My understanding of the truth wasn’t helping at all. And, my local paper was bought and closed down by the system.
So, now I am here doing my stuff.
