My husband is a big guy - 6'3". One day he was paired with a female who took a cheap shot below the belt. He told me he instinctively took a shot to her head that was hard enough to make her eyes roll back. She didn't complain - after all she opened the door. A friend of mine has a son who was buying his first car. There apparently are quite a few used Prius' out there and he kept arguing that they were good deals. She pushed him to look at the mileage because many of these cars had over 100K and the batteries were coming to the end of their lives. Given the cost to replace the battery, it made no financial sense. He finally came around and ended up finding a used gas Honda sedan.
I learned on a old $300 gas automatic, learned to stick drive at 40, a 3-cylinder Chevy Sprint, 8 gal tank, and only took High Test, lower fouled the Carb. Gad 100K when traded in. It got 450 to the tank. We have our first 5-year-old loaded Malibu, use a tank of gas a month, about 65K on it. Last one we will buy.
And that is why they are up for sale, the owners wised up. And are unloading the Priius on young uninformed kids.
In my 74 yrs, I washed dishes, and clothes, by hand, As a young Military wife with kids we didn't qualify for base housing. I've washed clothes in the bathtub, diapers as well as fatigues, line dried them. Ironed Fatigues, Which was a precise job. Sewed on the new patches when we were moved post every 2 years.
Taking the phosphates out wasn't enough, dishwashers and clothes washers will need to be run twice now to get items clean. Better go back to hand washing. He will want your dryer too.
