By gagging the leading candidate for the 2024 Presidential race, that wicked judge is violating MY individual right to vote, since I want to cast an informed ballot and the Trump opinions, biased or not, are relevant data. I want to SUE her down to her underwear! But it would be a Class Action lawsuit, and that requires a licensed attorney who can represent others.
If you offered that attorney 100% of whatever cash award they might recover (the interests of the other plaintiffs simply being the right to be informed), they might go for it. Normally they get something like a third, when they are trying to recover cash for damages.
I am not sure what legal theory they would use -- but then, that is what lawyers are for. They would know if it could work or not. (Perhaps a lawyer will comment...)
Regarding Newsguard - Justin you note about Free Markets and we should expect influence by the largest players. It would be nice if it truly was free and if advertisers would follow the money and go to most popular sites etc. BUT remember ESG and the financial markets. The customer service representative informed me the ",insect protein" would ONLY be used in pet aand livestock food (you may want to look into what brands those are).
I responded by telling her that humans (and no doubt all/most mammals) can NOT digest bugs due to TOXINS in the bugs. I also informed her that the entire scheme was BULLSHIT!
You can respond as you feel fit. I have long enjoyed their products (as John Souled seems to have disappeared off shelves in WNY). You may wish to contact them, as well, to express your opinions. I am spreading this on social media so everyone can understand fully what's going on.
