On this, the last Friday - and last Badlands News Brief of 2023 I would like to thank all of the contributors/commenters and all of the Badlanders for making this a worthwhile part of my day! The BNB and my french-pressed dark roast have become an essential part of my routine. I have found wisdom, hope, community, insight, and inspiration from you all. My deepest, sincere thanks. I pray that the year to come will exceed our hopes, but that we will endeavor to maintain our understanding of Truth and stand firm in our faith no matter what things (mostly outside of our control) may come. God bless!!!

"Now Faith, Hope and Love remain, these three; but the greater of these is Love. Pursue Love, yet be jealous for the Spiritual, but especially that you may declare before." 1Corinthians 13:13-14:1

PS - Great takes today - a whole weekend's worth of pondering ahead!

A couple of memories that may provide background to today's stories:

- The death of CIA agents in China coincidentally occurred after a visit to Beijing by then SoS Hillary Clinton, who brought her work Blackberry with her disregarding State Dept rules to take no electronic digital devices to China.

- Cries for Federal help by Sanctuary City mayors coincide with the upcoming battle over Govt funding for FY2024. COVID ended 2 years ago but its $Trillions remain in the federal cash drawer. Much of this money found its way to Blue States/Cities to make up for budget and pension shortfalls. Will GOP attempt to cancel COVID spending or will taxpayers be shafted again?

How quickly we forget the damage Hillary did to our country. Since she is not in prison, "what difference does it make?"....What difference indeed.

Thanks for another Glorious walk through the Sleepy Joe Shit Show!

It is great to watch the PANIC while the DS Rat Bastard's world crumbles in front of We the People.

Nothing will improve until Sleepy Joe is dragged out and publicly humiliated for his years of Evil treason. Until then I remain comfyAF watching the acceleration of their demise.

I certainly hope that you are right about Trump and what is really going on, to be sure.

Trump gave a 45 minute interview to John Solomon recently, which Solomon summarized (and linked to) in an article at https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/all-things-trump/newsmaker-interview-trump-puts-iran-europeans-and-antisemites

There were a couple of things that Trump said that don't really align with Trump being on the Putin/Xi/MbS wagon (at least to the extent that Iran is part of it today, which seems strongly to be the case to me).

1. Trump talks about efforts to weaken Iran, specifically through sanctions. Iran moving outside of the USD orbit is part and parcel of what I referred to above as "the wagon." Trump only seems to be looking at Iran through the lens of Israel and not "the wagon." The lens for looking at Iran is not through Israel's interests but as a major "outside the US dollar" player. The shifts you all see happening are far more important than Israel/Iran. But Trump doesn't seem to be looking at it that way.

2. Trump does not seem to understand that his VP is the Sword of Damocles hanging over his head. For as long as Trump is president, powerful forces will want to remove him. This makes his VP become president. So, no, this person is not irrelevant like historical VPs; this person is a threat to take his position. It has to be someone like Ben Carson, more chaplain than potential president; rather than Nikki Haley, who will gladly do whatever she can to bring Trump down (and ascend to the presidency if she were VP).

Expand full comment

Don’t forget disinformation is a key element of an information war. All sides, including Trump, employ it.

Expand full comment

Yes. I see what you see. And Nikki will be a more brutal Brutus to Trump. He needs no more knives in him from staff enemies as in his first reign.

Expand full comment

Yes! No danger of that this next time…Trump is truly a stable genius and learned everything he needed to know, those 1st 4 yrs and he did it while educating us right along with him ❤️🇺🇸

Expand full comment

Oh yes. I remember freezing the first time he pointed and said, “you’re all fake news…” we’ve come a long way to truth, finally.

Expand full comment

That would seem like the first thing he would have learned. I was really disheartened by what I read.

Me too. But my sis will slam me with ‘Art of War’, or chess games (which dad taught me but not her) and various Qisms. I know Trump is brilliant. And has to see enemies a mile off…yet Barr, Pence…Omg Haley…is he playing bluff after all.

Expand full comment
founding

I think Trump knew that (many at least) of those people were not loyal to him. He had to put them in positions where they could show us themselves. And the story is still not over for all of these folks... several Badlands authors believe that Pence, Barr, Sessions, et al are really on Trump's side and that truth will come out in time.

So is Trump bluffing? Who'd a thunk it?

Just for the record..

I do not for one second think Pence or Barr are on our side…

Haven’t thought much about Sessions

If (big If) Barr is on our side, then he was planted decades ago. His history with the Bushes is very DeepState

So I thought too, once.

But too many things have happened that have caused me to realize that much of what I once believed was what someone else wanted me to believe. I began to question everything, especially those things that seemed so obviously true.

Mind control is a strange business, Feather. I have come to accept that there are many things which will be revealed in time, and much as I might like to know the truth today, I have no better than a 50% chance of guessing the right answer.

There are things though, of which I am certain. That we are engaged in a massive psychological war far greater than anyone can fully comprehend. That this war is between the forces of good and evil, both in the Spiritual and Actual domains; the Narrative domain is I believe the bridge between them, where most of this war is really being fought. That we can, and must, choose a side in this war; and if we do not (as Glenn Beck once said), we will be knocked down off of the fence we're sitting on and into the fray, and probably not at a time or place that would have been of our choosing.

I am oft these days reminded of Rudyard Kipling's poem, "If: A Father's Advice to His Son" which is a bit long to post, but can be found here:

Still good advice, though written about 125 years ago.

To your second point first: I'm sure Trump understands what you are saying. What he was saying in that interview is not that his VP choice does not matter, only that according to history it has little or no effect on the presidential election. Thus his choice should probably be someone who is committed to MAGA/A1 policies and intends to continue them, if and when (s)he becomes president. That does two things: greatly reduces the motivation to kick him out (25A or whatever), and increases the likelihood that Trump's policies or something like them will continue for another eight years. Kari Lake would be an example of someone who meets that criterion.

Regarding international policy, Trump won't say exactly what he will really do. He is a master player of 'the game,' and one of the fundamental rules of that game was summed up by Sun Tzu in 'The Art of War': “Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” He has said that he could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours. That would I'm sure be a key part of what he does; and I do not doubt that he has plans (working with Putin, Xi, MBS etc.) to take down the Iranian mullahs and IRGC. That group is a headache for the Sovereign Order, and has to be dealt with. I don't think Trump will rely on sanctions this time around. The action will likely be kinetic but local and limited. Remember that the Iranian people would like to be rid of these wackos, too.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. For more details:

250,000+ members -- like the mullahs, I don't expect they'd need to 'kill 'em all and let God sort them out,' but rather a surgical operation to take out the leadership. Then let the Iranian people build their country back, as a modern Muslim-majority secular state.

Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the one Trump took out near the Baghdad airport with a Hellfire missile fired from a Reaper drone, was one of the leaders of the IRGC. Recently Iran claimed credit for the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas, and said it was 'retribution for Soleimani's killing.'

They knew where Soleimani was. I suspect they (CIA, Mossad, Shin Bet) know where the rest of the mullahs and IRGC leaders are, so taking them out in a surgical strike is likely possible. It would be a complex operation, but possible.

I like Tucker for VP, especially after reading

Tucker would be an awesome VP, imo. I don't think that he would be lusting for the throne. He is trained to be supportive, a great listener, open to a variety of viewpoints, and a team player. He has a ton of experience on the international stage and in dealing with world leaders. And I think he's a great person to spend time with. The big question would be if Trump is threatened by him or inspired by him.

Trump has so much heart for America that I don’t think he would ever feel threatened by anyone else who truly loves our country. I do think he’ll be very mindful of who would come after him…all our problems won’t get solved in 4 years.

I don't believe you are wrong, ALtab. [They] are being drawn ever deeper into the morass by the failing prospects of their chosen champion, Brandon. They know if they lose, it will be curtains for them; so they have no choice but to put the throttle to the firewall and hope for the best.

This is intentional. Trump said 'we caught them all.' But there is nothing so convincing as actually catching [them] in the act, and I believe that is what is in stock for them, this time around.

Fully Vaccinated 82-Year-Old Bernie Sanders Tests Positive for COVID-19

You mean his next shot of Saline?

Fully vaccinated Bernie Sanders, the Democrat Senator from Vermont, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Senator Sanders, who has been a vocal advocate for strict adherence to CDC guidelines since the beginning of the pandemic, received his vaccination earlier on under the guidance of the Office of the Attending Physician.

Sanders publicly received his first dose of the vaccine on December 19, 2020, from the U.S. Capitol physician, Dr. Brian P. Monahan. He announced this on his website and social media.

“Following the advice of the Office of the Attending Physician, today I received the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. As the vaccine is being distributed, we must all continue wearing masks and engage in social distancing. That is how we will beat this virus and end this terrible pandemic,” Sanders announced.

The key to getting the normies to see the truth is to have a rational, correct and irrefutable story. It must be simple to understand.

Here goes my version. There absolutely cannot be any reason to suspect Trump of wanting an insurrection. Stopping the electoral college discussion was the opposite of what he asked to happen. He needed the discussion to go on as intended. So, any insurrection had to be planned to hurt Trump, not to help him.

What we need is to use the hype over the insurrection to kill the hype. If we just use simple logic we see the whole story is fake because it has no solid foundation. But, my story is based on facts that are irrefutable because they are 100% correct…and really easy to sort out.

The problem as I see it is we are continually diverted with BS stories that all stem from the insurrection misdirection of the Left. They desperately need to somehow get our side to stop saying the election was stolen, but their antics just waste more time and look more stupid. Why do we not just end it with a rational set of facts? I really am getting sick of the whole game from both sides. America has too many real problems to allow politicians to keep us confused with their antics.

Valid point, Jim; but the first thing is getting the Normies to listen to anything, no matter how simple. They have heard 'INSURRECTION! INSURRECTION!' for so long now, they will not easily be convinced to listen to facts or logic. (Remember 'RUSSIA! RUSSIA!'.)

There is a very good chance that as Trump's trials go forward, his defense will be able to bring forth the facts you mention, and people will watch because of their morbid curiosities. Of course the persecution will try to stop Trump from putting on a defense, because it is based on 'misinformation;' however, appellate courts (to which Trump will appeal, if the trial court attempts to stop his defense) will likely force the lower courts to allow the testimony. If there is a grain of sense left in them, of course.

The right to defend yourself is a key element of fairness, included in the Sixth Amendment. An attempt by a court to deny that right is a reversible error. Eventually it will all come out; though the government may drop the charges against Trump if it looks like he will be successful in bringing forth damaging (to the government) exculpatory evidence.

It will continue to get even more interesting moving forward.

The various court cases, including both the Supreme Court and the long delayed (deliberately?) GA case on the Dominion machines appear to be converging and thereby increasing the focus on the corrupt election system. Timing of both is likely not a coincidence; neither are the (soon to be failing) attempts to keep Trump off the ballot. Both Ashe and Jon H have made key points; it IS all about the actual insurrection and now a focus is going to be on Maine and Georgia secretaries of state. How many know that in addition to district attorneys installed in key areas by Soros, et. al, years earlier, he focused on installing corrupt secretaries of state? The court order on Project Veritas....interesting, isn’t it?

The absolute best part of today’s brief is the revelation that the cabal’s enforcement arm, the CIA, no longer has their corrupt 👀’s on the inner workings of sovereign loving nations!😃

Sorry, don’t feel sorry for the build up of military age (and well paid) male illegals showing up in sanctuary cities. What did they think would happen? We’ve been watching this for years in Europe.
