The News Cycle is almost impossible to track these days. At least, to do so fully.
That’s where we come in.
In the Badlands News Brief, the Badlands Media team hand pick news items of interest from the previous days to give you an overview of the biggest goings-on relevant to the Truth Community with some Badlands flavoring to help wash it down.

Fauci Squirms During GOP Grilling Over COVID, Pandemic Response
Former NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci was grilled by Republicans during Monday testimony in front of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, where he repeatedly denied Republican allegations that he sought to cover up the COVID-19 lab-leak theory - calling the accusation "absolutely false and simply preposterous."
In his opening statement, Fauci denied trying to silence officials and scientists who thought the virus was created in, or at least escaped from, the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
"The accusation being circulated that I influenced these scientists to change their minds by bribing them with millions of dollars in grant money is absolutely false and simply preposterous. I had no input into the content of the published paper," said Fauci. "The second issue is a false accusation that I tried to cover up the possibility that the virus originated from a lab. In fact, the truth is exactly the opposite."
Following his opening statement Fauci was grilled over the government's response to the pandemic - defending the CDC over mask mandates, lockdowns, and other public policy - while Democrats on the panel repeatedly bent over backwards to defend him.
Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX) got into a heated exchange Fauci over the measures - at one point forcing the former NIAID director to admit that the Covid-19 vaccine doesn't stop transmission. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: In an over three-hour hearing Monday, Anthony Fauci answered questions from Congressional representatives about the origins of COVID-19 and his role in the pandemic.
It was rough. Attendees spent hours in line to secure seats in the packed chamber, and the crowd had to be gaveled down multiple times. Two people were removed for shouting about Fauci’s crimes.
It’s not surprising; the hearing was full of spin and long-debunked narratives, and the people have had enough.
Democrats were in the position of defending the narrative, which they did, dutifully and to the point of absurdity. The ‘Fauci didn’t know’ defense ruled the day and, as a reminder, Fauci was the highest paid federal government employee before he retired. He was paid to know, but ‘Fauci didn’t know.’
Legislators on both sides of the aisle thanked him for his service. One of the democrats literally thanked him for his ‘science.’ We have to end qualified immunity, and hold these people accountable.
MTG (R-GA) was the most fiery. At one point, she refused to refer to Fauci as ‘doctor,’ which made the minority lose their minds and hold up the proceeding for several minutes. MTG recapped the disgraced doctor’s record with disdain and visual aids. She was a crowd favorite.

Post-Conviction Polls Show Increase In Support For Trump
Polls taken immediately after Donald Trump’s conviction show there has been no negative impact on his support and even a slight increase in favorability, especially amongst independent voters.
Trump was convicted on 34 counts in a brazen political show trial that Democrats hoped would harm his presidential prospects, although that doesn’t seem to have materialized.
A Daily Mail poll conducted by J.L. Partners found 22 per cent of respondents to have a more positive view of Trump as a result of the conviction compared to 16 per cent who have a more negative view.
In other words, the conviction has totally backfired and handed Trump a 6 percentage point approval boost. — Modernity
Our Take: In news that will shock precisely nobody (in this audience,) the first polls to be conducted by various outlets in the aftermath of the very real and very serious and definitely not fake felony cascade have actually swung sentiment in favor of Donald Trump.
Some of the specific data points might explain why some within the media machine are warning their fellows against leaning into the conviction ... like Trump is.
For starters, the biggest swing in favor of Trump came among Independent voters and those born after 1981, ie: Millennials and Gen Z. The former demo has been politically homeless for some time, while the latter had been some of the most difficult to reach in the early MAGA era.
What's more, voter enthusiasm leans heavily Trump.
None of this is to say they won't try the steal again. But doing so in the midst of vast and accelerating public mandate for Trump and Agenda 47 has the potential to shatter the final illusions of establishment control in this awakening era.

Mexico elects Claudia Sheinbaum as its first female president
Mexico’s projected presidential winner Claudia Sheinbaum will become the first female president in the country’s 200-year history.
Sheinbaum, the favored successor of outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, vowed to continue on the direction set by the populist leftist leader. But the cool-tempered scientist offers a sharp contrast in style — and a break with Mexico’s male-dominated political culture.
“I promise that I am not going to let you down,” Sheinbaum said, greeting supports in Mexico City’s colonial-era main plaza, the Zocalo.
The National Electoral Institute’s president said Sheinbaum had between 58.3% and 60.7% of the vote, while opposition candidate Xóchitl Gálvez had between 26.6% and 28.6% and Jorge Álvarez Máynez had between 9.9% and 10.8% of the vote. Sheinbaum’s Morena party was also projected to hold its majorities in both chambers of Congress. — AP News
Our Take: Oh Lord, here we go...
On paper, this woman is straight from MAGA's worst nightmare.
She is a PhD "climate scientist" (whatever that is) who has contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which, since 1988 has been on a quest to destroy humanity through subversive psyops that are based on Malthusian musings.
Malthusianism is the theory that population growth is potentially exponential, exceeding the linear growth of the food supply, meaning that humanity is doomed unless its growth is restrained through war, famine, and disease—which its subscribers (all of whom are elitist oligarchs) believe is their moral obligation to enforce. It is based on a 1798 essay by Thomas Robert Malthus entitled, An Essay on the Principle of Population.
As the mayor of Mexico City, she implemented a "six-year environmental plan" (i.e. regulations and mandates), gender-neutral and pro-trans policies in state-schools, "decolonization" exercises that included replacing a statue of Christopher Columbus, and pushed for the legalization of abortion, which only became legal in 2021. During the COVID "pandemic," she demanded that citizens only listen to state authorities, imposed draconian lockdowns, and encouraged citizens to remain home and wear a mask. For these efforts, she was nominated for the World Mayor Prize in 2021. (While her focus was on these SJW issues, Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro collapsed, resulting in 26 dead, 80 injured, and 5 missing. Critics say she should have been focused on maintaining crumbling infrastructure.)
There's also the fact that 37 political candidates were assassinated this season in Mexico.
While every article about her will highlight her Jewish ancestry—because Mexico possesses one of the largest and most fervent Catholic populations in the world—Sheinbaum is quick to point out that both of her parents were leftists "involved in the sciences," and were atheists. (shocker)
Regarding her ancestry, what interests me more is that her father was Lithuanian and her mother was Bulgarian, both of which being nationalities that are ancient enemies of Russia. You will recall when Putin regaled Tucker with the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and its oppression of the Novogorod-Rus and the Kievan-Rus, who had to appeal to the Muscovy-Rus in Moscow for liberation. You will also recall Colonel Macgregor telling Tucker that western oligarchs, like Victoria Nuland, have an ancestral axe to grind with Russia.
It begs the question: How does an Eastern European (Jewish?) Atheist get elected the leader of a hardcore Catholic Latin American nation? Considering that her predecessor rejected western sanctions against Russia in 2022, how soon will Sheinbaum turn Mexico against the hardcore Orthodox Christian nation? —
Rand Paul Warns Of "War In The Streets" Coming From Trump Verdict
GOP Senator Rand Paul has warned that the fallout of the weaponisation of the justice system against Donald Trump could lead to “war in the streets.”
Appearing on Fox Business, Paul was asked “What is your reaction to the conviction?”
The Senator responded that it is “a sad day in America,” adding “what I worry about is something even bigger than Donald Trump.”
“I worry about strife. I worry about war in the streets. I worry about 50 percent of the public believing that the court system will be used against them,” Paul further urged.
“I worry when half the country thinks they won’t be treated fairly, what happens and how people react,” the Senator continued.
Paul also pointed out how Hillary Clinton was treated completely differently when she was charged over her email server.
“If you look at records violations and you look at Hillary Clinton, $8 million expense, and they slapped her on the wrist cause she got an $8 thousand fine,” Paul asserted.
“I think Donald Trump is the only person ever prosecuted for this particular crime,” Paul further suggested, stating that there are probably thousands of cases of records violations in New York that never go to court. — Modernity News
Our Take: There is an undeniable tension following the conviction of President Trump. The political show trial, despite not being televised, has enraged a nation. Even many who have openly opposed 45 are not just planning to vote for him — they’re talking about the fact that they’re planning to vote for him and why.
With all due respect to Dr. Paul, I’m not concerned about war in the streets from regular Americans—the mostly peaceful and tolerant crowd maybe, but the American people aren’t being violent. They’re advocating for and donating to President Trump.
Whether the regime admits it or not, President Donald J. Trump is going to decisively win the popular vote. By the time Election Day arrives, it will be undeniable that 45 is not only the People’s legitimate choice, but that he has the People’s mandate.

Ruling Party 'Obliterated' In South Africa Election
“South Africa’s a new country today, but I’m really afraid of that. We don’t know what that looks like,” Pieter Fourie, a middle-aged, middle-class man walking his shaggy Alsatian through autumn leaves on a street in Melville, Johannesburg, said.
His younger companion, Sally Kruger, sighed.
“For many years we prayed to get rid of the ANC [African National Congress]. We watched as it destroyed our beautiful country,” she said, gesturing toward a gaping pothole filled with muddy water.
“But now that the ANC’s fallen so badly, so fast, in such a shocking way, I’m finding it hard to find a reason to celebrate.”
Ms. Kruger’s voice trailed off, almost drowned out by screeches from a flock of African ibises.
“I mean, look at what’s rising to replace it!” she exclaimed. “Something even worse. We were in trouble under the ANC. Now we’re in even bigger trouble.”
The couple’s insightful musings reflect the concerns of many citizens in Africa’s largest economy, and its most developed democracy, as the implications of the May 29 election filter through the suburbs, townships, and villages of this “Rainbow Nation” of 62 million.
The ANC, in power since Nelson Mandela led it to a sweeping victory in South Africa’s first multiracial, multiparty poll in 1994 to end white minority apartheid rule, has captured less than 40 percent of the vote, with almost all ballots counted.
The stunning result is reverberating around the world and was predicted by only one survey in the runup to the election.
Most polls had support for the ANC at about 45 to 48 percent. — The Epoch Times
Our Take: Last week, I wrote about the Sovereign Alliances' success in expelling the Globalist Empire from South Africa, and also the Empire's efforts to retake control through its agent, Jacob Zuma. For the time-being, it appears that the Empire has succeeded.
You will recall the failed coup attempt in the nearby nation of the Democratic Republic of Congo, which I wrote about just two weeks ago, and presented what I consider to be sufficient evidence that it was the handiwork of the Empire's last and final colony, Israel. (Surely, South Africa's filing of genocide charges in the International Court of Justice has nothing to do with any of this.)
The Empire is not going to give up Africa easily, especially now in the Digital Age where Africa's rare-earth mineral deposits are worth trillions of dollars.
Zuma has led a successful insurgency against Cyril Ramaphosa, who now leads Zuma's former party, the African National Congress. (The ANC, of course, has its own troubled history. This is Africa, after all.) After evading prison by claiming terminal illness, the 82-year old Zuma formed a new political party, the Umkhonto we Sizwe (MKP). The MKP appears to have formed an alliance with another newly emerged party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), which is led by another ANC defector, 43 year-old Julius Malema.
I have previously detailed Zuma's corrupt past, though Malema—once a vocal supporter of Zuma, though that has changed—is a much more nasty and sinister character, fitting the more classic archetype of "African warlord" than Zuma, who presents himself as more of a white-collared criminal.
Following in the footsteps of Zuma, in 2012, Malema was charged with fraud, money-laundering, and racketeering, though the cases have been conveniently postponed indefinitely, it seems, empowering Malema to brand the charges as politically motivated. He has also been convicted twice for hate speech, once for demeaning Zuma's rape victim in 2010, and again in 2011 after calling for the genocide of white farmers and the forceful repossession of their property.
It seems—and this is only speculation—that the Empire will attempt to confuse us, as these two new factions have branded themselves as pro-Multipolar-World-Order, aligning themselves with Beijing and Moscow. However, they also advocate for the seizure of "white-owned land," and the nationalization of mines and banks. That won't sit well with the Sovereign Alliance, as we just detailed on Friday that they have spent the past several years working to legally usurp those mining rights away from the Empire, who had obtained them through corrupt means. (I detailed this on-stream on Badlands Daily yesterday.)
A call to now nationalize these mines is a subversion of the Alliance. That's signal, not noise. —
E*Trade Considers Kicking Meme-Stock Leader Keith Gill Off Platform
E*Trade is considering telling meme-stock leader Keith Gill he can no longer use its platform after growing concerned about potential stock manipulation around his recent purchases of GameStop GME 21.00%increase; green up pointing triangle options, according to people familiar with the matter.
Shortly before Gill reignited a meme-stock craze in May, he bought a large volume of GameStop options on E*Trade, the people said. This week, Gill posted screenshots of an E*Trade account showing he owns GameStop shares now valued at $140 million and a new set of options that expire later this month. His total gains on the positions were at $85.5 million, he posted late Monday, showing his account remained in operation.
The stock of GameStop surged again on his posts, showing the power Gill, also known as Roaring Kitty and DeepF—Value, has as an influencer. GameStop shares, up 21% on Monday, have risen more than 60% since he reappeared.
At E*Trade and its owner Morgan Stanley MS -0.44%decrease; red down pointing triangle, that power created concerns he can pump up a stock for his own benefit. Their debate includes whether his actions amounted to manipulation and whether or not the firm is willing to risk drawing the attention of his meme army by removing him, according to people familiar with their internal discussions.
No decision has been made and the firm could decide no action is needed.
Separately, the Massachusetts securities division is looking into Gill’s activities, a spokeswoman said Monday. — Wall Street Journal
Reaction from Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports:
Our Take: “Let me give my Boston brother some advice, from the heart:
GameStop has multiple meanings in the current persuasion of the Info War. I think most of those meanings are good. Just not in the way the Wall Street Apes believe.
While tens of millions of normies are and have been red pilled as to the true nature of the financial system (ie: it's fucking rigged for the establishment and against retail,) most have still not quite come around to the solution phase of the Hegelian Dialectic; they're still reacting.
The Apes believe they're graduating from playing checkers to chess, when the only way to win the game is to stop playing it entirely.
What is the solution?
Defecting from the system. Stopping the game by refusing to play it. Moving from a rigged gambling den wherein only institutional money is allowed to pause one side while they rejig the game board in their favor ... to something sound.
Gee ... are there any decentralized forms of sovereign power projection and valuation that are also perfectly finite, fungible and unscrew-withable? Is there an infinite game that CAN'T be paused?
Think bigger. Think smaller.
Because the answer is both. And because the answer is maybe, probably Bitcoin.” —

WaPo Head Susan Buzbee Out In Massive Shakeup
Sally Buzbee, the Washington Post’s first female executive editor who has served in the role since 2021, stepped down from her position, the paper announced Sunday night.
Buzbee will be succeeded in the interim by former Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Matthew Murray, according to the announcement. Murray will serve as executive editor until after the 2024 presidential election, at which point Robert Winnett, the current deputy editor at The Telegraph, will replace him, according to the announcement.
Coupled with the change in editors will be a complete restructuring of the newsroom. The Bezos-owned publication will be shaking things up in a big way, splitting their newsroom into a three-pronged operation.
The paper will be reorganized into three parts: the main newsroom, the editorial page and a “third newsroom” the announcement says will be “comprised of service and social media journalism and run separately from the core news operation.” — The Daily Caller
Zelensky Says China Is Helping Russia Undermine a Peace Summit on Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused China of pressuring countries to boycott a peace conference he is promoting in Switzerland later this month and warned that Beijing’s support for Russian President Vladimir Putin will only prolong the war.
“Using Chinese influence, using Chinese diplomats, Russia is doing everything to disrupt the summit. Regrettably, such a big, independent country as China has become an instrument in Putin’s hands,” Zelensky said Sunday in Singapore.
The Ukrainian leader, who is trying to rally international support behind his demands that Russia withdraw from occupied areas of Ukraine, visited the island-state over the weekend to attend the Shangri-La Dialogue security conference.
Representatives of more than 100 nations are expected to attend the peace summit in the city of Lucerne on June 15-16. They include heads of states and governments from most Western nations, though it isn’t clear whether President Biden—who will be in Italy for a meeting of Group of Seven leaders just before—will attend.
Russia hasn’t been invited to the conference in Switzerland and has denounced the event as an effort to isolate it. China’s Foreign Ministry said Friday that Beijing wouldn’t participate in the Swiss gathering because any peace conference “should be endorsed by both Russia and Ukraine, with the equal participation of all countries.” — Wall Street Journal
Moment Pro-Palestine protesters clash with Pride parade - causing social media to erupt: 'QueersforPalestine had a change of heart!'
Free Palestine protestors clashed with members of the LGBTQ+ community in Philadelphia, who were attempting to kick off Pride month Sunday with a parade.
In one of many videos posted online documenting the incident, a wave of Pride marchers in colorful outfits banging on drums were halted along their parade route by a group of pro-Palestinian members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Some donning keffiyehs, other donning leather straps and vests, the pro-Palestinian crowd halted the parade route to scream and yell at members of their own community.
One rainbow flag painted poster read: 'No Pride in Genocide,' the implication of which may have been that it is not appropriate to be celebrating Pride month as normal while the conflict in the Middle East still rages.
The protest was executed by Queers4Palestine, a minority faction within the queer community who have been extremely vocal these last eight months about the intersection of what they believe is the structural oppression of Palestinians and the historic prejudice faced by their community. — The Daily Mail
Louisiana Bill Authorizing Physical Castration For Sex Offenders Heads To Governor’s Desk
A proposed bill that would enforce surgical castration as opposed to chemical castration for those convicted of rape has advanced in the Louisiana legislature.
The bill is now headed to Republican Gov. Jeff Landry’s desk to be signed or vetoed.
Senate Bill 371, sponsored by state Sen. Regina Barrow, a Democrat, would sentence those 17 and older who have been convicted of the rape of a victim under the age of 13 to be physically castrated.
It passed in the state House 74–24 and in the Senate 29–9.
“Proposed law further provides that the procedure is contingent upon a determination by a court-appointed medical expert that the defendant is an appropriate candidate for surgery, which determination must be made within 60 days of imposition of sentence,” the bill reads. “Proposed law further provides that when the offender is sentenced to a period of incarceration or confinement, the procedure must be performed no later than one week prior to the release of the offender.”
The Department of Public Safety and Corrections would oversee the procedure; however, it “will not be performed if not medically appropriate.”
“Proposed law further provides that if an offender fails to appear or refuses to undergo the procedure, the offender may be charged with failure to comply with the court order and sentenced to imprisonment for between three and five years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence,” the bill states. — The Epoch Times

Anthony Fauci is the most audacious liar I've ever witnessed. It just flows out of him as naturally as breathing. No doubt he was involved at some level in the murder of his most outspoken critic: Dr Kary Mullis, may his death be exposed for the crime it was so he can rest in peace.
It's awesome to finally see Fauci getting a taste of what's to come. He's been harming people for decades and there's not enough punishment for him...I'm not crazy about Rand Paul stirring up civil war crap... thanks Badlands for always bringing it!
