Now, onto the news from Thursday, August 24 …
Our Take: “For the first time in the history of the Badlands News Brief, we don’t need a link to a news article, and we don’t really need to explain the news.
You know what it is, and likely, you all know what it means … at least, what it COULD mean, so, let’s use the comments section today as a celebration, and as a rejection of the black pill.
Donald Trump was paraded in front of the American people as a criminal. And he has never. Been. Stronger.
What happened today in the realm of the Actual was unprecedented, literally.
But, what happened today in the realm of the Narrative was transcendent.
Donald Trump seized control of the Collective Mind with a surety unlike anything we've seen before, even from him, and managed to converge Informational and Psychological timelines.
In the last 24 hours, he's done worse than destroy the remnants of the Media Industrial Complex; he's rendered them irrelevant.
He'll do the same to the Deep State.” —
200 Million & Counting... Trump Triumphant, Ramaswamy Runner-Up, DeSantis Dud
As of this publication, Tucker Carlson’s interview garnered more than 150 million views within hours of being posted. This already ranks the Trump interview as the most watched television interview in history, breaking the record set by Carlson and Andrew Tate from earlier this summer.
This fact alone shows Trump’s pulse is on the cultural trajectory of this country in ways that cannot be replicated by the other candidates. Indeed, despite the unfortunate news of this latest arraignment, Trump’s poll numbers are higher than ever: his margins over his nearest opponents now are upwards of 50 percentage points or higher, making his famous prophecy from earlier this month – that he would only need “one more indictment” to win the 2024 election true. Indeed, even the legacy media seems to be coming around to this conclusion: both CNN and Time Magazine ran pieces over the last week gearing their readers for the possibility – perhaps inevitability – of another Trump administration.
Trump is the protagonist of this evil chapter of American history.
His inconsequential challengers, lacking the talent to become forces in history themselves, fancy themselves above the “drama” of history, when the truth is they are pursuing a station destiny has closed off to them. They play off their inertness and aversion to “drama” as a virtue.
But Trump’s war with the Deep State, which now threatens to destroy the very foundations of the republic, is inextricably woven with the nation and its fate. It is the main event, as even his enemies must acknowledge. Should the worst-case scenario happen and his mugshot be taken, hardly anyone will remember the sideshow in Milwaukee.

Make that over 200 million views and still going...” — American Greatness
Our Take: “At the time I write this, Trump on Tucker is over 200M total views. Before noon, less than 24 hours since the content aired. The news media is reporting that an unprecedented 24M people watched the GOP debate last night. The prior record for a primary debate according to AdWeek was 19.7M from MSNBC’s DNC primary debate in 2020.
It’s clear that Trump’s communication strategy is brilliant. This interview surpasses Tucker on X’s previously most watched show with Andrew Tate (150M) by at least 50M views. Note that Trump’s margin on breaking Tate’s record is more than the GOP’s total debate audience.
Trump was Presidential. The GOP was hysterical and visionless. It was a clear contrast, and I would expect Trump’s margin to increase. I expect Ramaswamy, Christie and Haley to get small normie bumps from the debate, but the entire field is irrelevant at this point. The Grand Ol’ Party is dead. America First is now the party.
The other big winner from the debate was the 4,000 person live audience, who overwhelmingly supported Trump in their responses, despite his absence on the stage. And of course, the biggest loser of the night was Fox. Mainstream media is dead. New media is now mainstream. All good things.” —
Xi, Putin Hail First BRICS Expansion In Over A Decade As Gulf Oil Powers Join
At a moment China and Russia have envisioned the future of BRICS as fundamentally an anti-Western bloc of developing nations, the Gulf oil powers Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been formally invited to become members, which marks the bloc's first expansion in over a decade.
"The membership will take effect from the first of January, 2024," South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said, adding that additionally Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia and Iran will be added to the fold next year.
China’s President Xi Jinping hailed the rare expansion, beyond the current large economies of China, Russia, Brazil India, China and South Africa as "historic". He said it will "inject new impetus into the BRICS cooperation mechanism and further strengthen the power of world peace and development."
President Putin too congratulated the soon to be newest members, saying in a video message, "I would like to congratulate the new members who will work in a full-scale format next year."
"And I would like to assure all our colleagues that we will continue the work that we started today on expanding the influence of BRICS in the world," the Russian leader added. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also hailed the expansion which he said will strengthen the bloc.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan's statement said, "the special, strategic relations with the BRICS nations promotes common principles, most importantly the firm belief in the principle of respect for sovereignty, independence and non-interference in internal affairs.”
He vowed in words before the BRICS conference on Thursday that the kingdom will be a "secure and reliable energy provider," and noted that total bilateral trade between Riyadh and BRICS countries exceeded $160 billion in 2022, the Saudi foreign minister said. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “BRICS has thrown down the gauntlet.
For all the talk of a gold-backed currency (which will likely still come down the road,) the keystone to the toppling of the Western Hegemony has always rested on the decision of Saudi Arabia.
With their official intent to join BRICS now codified, the Deep State's power projection (military, financial and energy,) just received a stunning and irreversible blow.
From a Military perspective, most who aren't slaved to the war hawk messaging of NeoCons and NeoLibs have long been aware that the Military Industrial Complex exists to serve itself by subjugating and dominating nations that would dare stand against the illusory might of the US Petrodollar.
From a Financial perspective, that Petrodollar has seen its value completely divorced from the means of production and GDP; for decades, it has been based almost entirely on a forced, artificial set market wherein foreign nations MUST trade for the Saudis' oil in USD, or else face the wrath of the aforementioned Military Complex.
Finally, the most understated, but perhaps most important pillar the Saudis' decision signals an intent to erode is that of Energy Projection. Also known as real power.
With their entry, BRICS will control more than 60% of global energy markets, all while the Biden Administration continues to draw down the U.S.'s Strategic Petroleum Reserve and fails to restart domestic drilling permits they shut down following the 2020 election coup against Donald Trump.
As I said in Righteous Russia, Power is Power.
Western citizens are going to get a crash course in that hard lesson over the course of the next year and change, and Trump is going to be there to highlight it all along the way.
The Multi-Polar World isn't coming. It's here.” —
Newly Discovered Facebook Posts Reveal Atlanta DA Fani Willis Pushed Election Fraud Theories in 2020 Similar to Trump – SO WILL SHE INDICT HERSELF?
Corrupt Atlanta District Attorney indicted President Trump on several charges involving speech crimes last week.
Willis and Democrats are gathering up Republican leaders and charging them with crimes for challenging the 2020 stolen election results.
In February 2021 Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis opened an investigation into President Trump based on his call to Brad Raffensperger following the 2020 election that was misrepresented to the Washington Post. The Washington Post later corrected their report after they discovered they were lied to. But the damage was done.
Willis’s investigation into Trump was ALL based on a lie by Fuchs and Raffensperger.
Fani Willis and her team knew that Fuchs lied. Last week they indicted President Trump and 18 of his associates anyway.
Now this… Recently discovered Facebook posts by Fani Willis in November 2020 reveak the Atlanta District Attorney was pushing similar election fraud theories as President Trump.
Via Collin Rugg:
NEW: The ‘unbiased’ and ‘fair’ District Attorney Fani Willis had multiple Facebook posts commenting on the 2020 election results including one where she raised theories of election fraud similar to Trump.Should she indict herself?
One post came on November 4, 2020 where Willis commented on the infamous ‘water leak.’
“Georgia could determine who is our next president. A TEAM of lawyers needs to watch them count every single VOTE. They can start in Fulton where we are having water leaks. What ballots are they throwing out? Georgia lets give an honest accounting. No stunts!” — The Gateway Pundit
Our Take: “She should. But she won’t. But she will put a target on all the other corrupt actors who are guilty of the same.
Let me explain.
Substance matters—something I mention here and there.
The substance of the allegations, the indictment, made against Trump is as follows:
THE CLAIM: Trump, it is alleged, knew the 2020 election did not have fraud—it was a legitimate election. Despite what he knew in his heart, Trump used his free speech to spread false claims that the election was stolen, fraudulent or was rigged. He conspired with various individuals to amplify and spread the message, as well as making efforts in legal venues to overturn the election of 2020. Since Trump knew in his heart it was a valid election and he pushed false claims, with the support of co-conspirators, he is being charged with various conspiracy crimes.
Now, the truth is, there is no truth to this allegation.
Trump never acknowledged the validity of the 2020 election—not once. Most importantly, there are large amounts of evidence that the election was, at the very least, of poor quality so much so that the result is likely invalid. There were over 300,000 people on the Georgia voter rolls alone who shouldn’t have been there. But since no one ever checked to see who these fraudulent voters voted for, the claim that ‘there is no evidence of wide-scale voter fraud’ is somewhat accurate.
On this point, claiming there is no evidence of wrongdoing—when one never bothers to look—is an indictment against the office holders put in charge of vetting elections, from the poll worker all the way to the Vice President of the United States—Mike Pence, formerly. Every single gatekeeper who knew in their heart there was fraud or bad faith, and certified anyway with the full support of other actors doing the same, is guilty of conspiracy, if not much more.
What is the word for when someone who was explicitly in charge of a duty—in this case, vetting an election result—totally ignores their duty? We call that negligence, in this case, criminal negligence—even seditious negligence, I would argue.
Keep this in mind.
The key point I want you to walk away with is this: Trump was falsely accused of conspiring with others to overturn an election that was filled with fraud. While Trump is NOT guilty of this crime, those who certified the election knowing it was fraudulent or at the very least, had issues that made it so it shouldn’t be certified—ARE GUILTY of the crime they are accusing Trump of.
Trump’s willingly going through this, I suspect, to educate the people on the actual crimes their elected officials committed with respect to the 2020 election.
When the time is right, the people will likely realize how upside down the situation is. These corrupt actors will have given the people the eyes to see their crimes.

US CDC says new COVID lineage could cause infections in vaccinated individuals
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Wednesday the new BA.2.86 lineage of coronavirus may be more capable than older variants in causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received vaccines.
CDC said it was too soon to know whether this might cause more severe illness compared with previous variants.
But due to the high number of mutations detected in this lineage, there were concerns about its impact on immunity from vaccines and previous infections, the agency said.
Scientists are keeping an eye on the BA.2.86 lineage because it has 36 mutations that distinguish it from the currently-dominant XBB.1.5 variant.
CDC, however, said virus samples are not yet broadly available for more reliable laboratory testing of antibodies.
The agency had earlier this month said it was tracking the highly mutated BA.2.86 lineage, which has been detected in the United States, Denmark and Israel.
CDC said on Wednesday the current increase in hospitalizations in the United States is not likely driven by the BA.2.86 lineage. — Reuters
Our Take: “If you complied with ‘vaccine mandates’ for the experimental gene therapy, you are more susceptible to the new variants. Safe and effective though, right?
It’s amazing that they are going to try the covid op again, on roughly the same timeline as the prior presidential election. It’s so obvious, but our enemies, while evil, are not terribly creative. As we discussed yesterday, they are rewriting history on masking and claim they were misled by the science. Mask mandates are already in effect at some businesses and colleges. And then there is Pfizer’s stock price, which was down 28% before the bell on Thursday, so it must be time for a new booster. Amazing that anyone would fall for this again, but some people will never wake up.
Do not play along. Do not comply. Do not be polite. These people are criminals and committed to genocide. Just say no. And, of course, mock them relentlessly when they try to convince you to put yourself at mortal risk to signal virtue.” —

I just changed the banner on my FB page early this morning. I used the "mugshot" of Trump and lettered over it, "Georgia.....defying the Constitution since 1861."
Ramaswamy is a DOUBLEGANGER, FAKE, FALSE, DON'T FALL FOR HIM BEING A CONSERVATIVE.
