The News Cycle is almost impossible to track these days. At least, to do so fully.
That’s where we come in.
In the Badlands News Brief, the Badlands Media team hand pick news items of interest from the previous days to give you an overview of the biggest goings-on relevant to the Truth Community with some Badlands flavoring to help wash it down.
Now, onto the news from the Weekend that Was …
Nearly 3 Million Americans Have Voted So Far. Here's What We Know.
Nearly 3 million Americans have cast early ballots either in person or by mail with under four weeks to go until Election Day, an election tracking site shows.
As of 6:43 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2,877,590 people had cast ballots in states that report early voting data, according to an update from the University of Florida’s Election Lab website.
Of that figure, nearly 504,000 people had voted early in person, and more than 2.37 million had voted by mail, the tracking site found.
About 47.5 million mail-in ballots have been requested so far. In comparison, more than 92 million mail-in ballots were requested through the 2020 election, according to the university.
In the states reporting how people voted by party, 56.3 percent of people who had returned early ballots were Democrats, representing about 732,378 people. Another 27.4 percent were Republican, representing 356,797 voters, and 16.2 percent, or 210,980, were independent or members of a third party, according to the website. — The Epoch Times
Our Take: I oppose early voting, and this article is one of the main reasons why. The three million Americans that already cast their ballot did so on the current iteration of “facts” in the 2024 election.
There’s still three weeks, with October surprises yet to come, and they can’t change their vote. Three million people can’t change their vote if it turns out the pedophilia allegations against Tim Walz are true. There are multiple accusers now. And documentation.
Further, we shouldn’t have this information at all. It can be spun to suppress votes, manufacture “insight” about the election outcome, and bolster narratives.
Of course, my primary reason for opposing early voting is that the data is used for analysis, not just for narrative. Campaigns love it because they know where to focus their efforts. Criminal communists love it because it opens up the table.
The people, we are told, love it because it’s convenient. Apparently, for at least three million, that’s true. Then again, midway turnout numbers are reported by the political monsters that run elections — the same people who benefit most from electoral outcomes.
I advocate for everyone to vote in person on Election Day. I want you to vote with the most up to date information and starve the machine of your data in advance. That being said, I care most that you vote.

Iran has a hit list of former Trump aides. The U.S. is scrambling to protect them.
U.S. officials are coming to a troubling realization about Iran’s repeated threats to kill Donald Trump and some of his former top generals and national security strategists: Tehran isn’t bluffing — and it isn’t giving up anytime soon.
Iran has been openly threatening Trump and those who oversaw his national security strategy since January 2020, when Trump ordered a drone strike killing Qassem Soleimani, then Iran’s most powerful military general. Tehran has put out videos depicting the future deaths of Trump and others who helped orchestrate the Soleimani attack, pushed for their arrest and extradition and issued menacing statements promising revenge.
U.S. intelligence community officials briefed the Trump campaign last month about assassination threats against the former president from Iran, with the Trump campaign saying they were warned the threat has “heightened in the past few months.” The briefing followed a pair of assassination efforts on Trump this summer. No evidence has been presented to link those to Tehran.
But Iran’s efforts to kill Trump and former senior officials it has blamed for the Soleimani strike are even more extensive and aggressive than previously reported, according to a dozen officials familiar with the Iranian assassination threat.
“This is extraordinarily serious,” said Matt Olsen, the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for national security. “Iran has made it very clear that they are determined to seek retaliation against former officials in connection with the Soleimani strike.”
And, while the government has gone to unprecedented lengths to protect many of these officials, some who experience similar threats receive no government protection. — Politico
Our Take: Oh, yeah. Super serious, indeed. So serious that they opened up the border and imported countless refugees from every third world country on earth.
If there is any truth to this story, then surely the would-be assassins are working for authorities in DC.
Interestingly enough, last week, the Lebanese government (not Hezbollah) arrested Syrian nationals who were acting as spies for the IDF.
And last month, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp arrested a number of Iranians who were accused of also spying for Israel.
I just can't help but shake this feeling that General Soleimani was working for Netanyahu, all along. He went about setting up these networks across the region that were intended to wage war against Israel, which would have justified Israel's war against Iran—the thing Netanyahu has wanted for the past 40 years.
Some may argue that this is what has happened over the past year, but I don't think it has played out the way it was suppose to play out. These proxy networks haven't really "delivered" the way you would expect an all-out jihad to be waged against Israel. It has been rather passive, actually, which is part of the reason that the entire world thinks Israel is over-reacting, and is now taking things too far.
Just listen to Israeli journalist, Barak Ravid, talk with his colleagues about his December 2021 interview with President Trump.
In the clip, Ravid says that Trump told him that not only did Netanyahu back out of the air strike that killed Soleimani the day before it was scheduled to be conducted, but Trump said that Netanyahu also tried to back out of the Abraham Accords the day before a major call was scheduled to finalize them for public signing.
"Israel did not do the right thing," Trump said. "People will be hearing about that, at the right time."
The right time? When would it be the "right time" for the public to learn exactly why Netanyahu wanted to back out of the strike to kill Soleimani? Maybe right as Netanyahu is trying to start a war with Iran? What if he wanted to back out of the strike because Soleimani was his operative? And without Soleimani, Netanyahu wouldn't get his war with Iran?
And now US intelligence agencies are feigning Iranian assassins to foment a war between the Trump admin and Iran? —
Trump hints he will appear on Joe Rogan podcast: 'I think I'm doing it'
Former President Donald Trump hinted during an appearance on the podcast with the Nelk boys' "Full Send" podcast that he would be sitting down with podcast host Joe Rogan.
"You’re doing a lot of podcasts recently. One that I would love to see you on, I think Joe Rogan has to have you on. Would you do that?" host Kyle Forgeard asked.
Trump responded that he would and added, "I think I’m doing it, actually."
Forgeard asked again, "so you are going to do Joe Rogan?"
The former president said, "yeah, I am." Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have both sat for interviews on popular podcasts during this election cycle. — FOX News
Our Take: Joe Rogan is one of the biggest Mind-Movers at work in the Info War, and his interview with Donald Trump will be the most-watched perhaps in American history, occurring in the midst of the most contentious national and international power struggle of all time.
Just as many have said when it comes to other Mind-Movers like Elon Musk and RFK Jr. before him, Rogan's sometimes-opposition to the emergent MAGA wing of American politics is a feature, not a bug of these deployments, because these movers are able to attack the Collective Mind from positions Trump cannot.
Aside from the obvious eyes and ears on the conversation, this is going to be a mass culture event whose memetic magnitude puts any other to shame, and if you don't believe that, all you have to do is look at Elon Musk's position in American culture pre and post Rogan.
Rogan is going to be attacked relentlessly by the machine, further exposing it in the waning days of its dark empire.
That's good.

Social media goes into meltdown as Saturday Night Live destroys Kamala Harris: 'It's over. The Democrats have lost SNL'
Social media has gone into a meltdown following last night's Saturday Night Live skits about Kamala Harris - with many viewers saying the mockery is bad news for the Democratic candidate.
Famously played by Maya Rudolph, Harris' character has been hurdled into the spotlight on the late-night show as the November election approaches - and fans have had a lot to say about her portrayal.
On last night's episode, SNL poked fun at Harris on a Family Feud-style skit - making fun of her trademark mannerisms, such as her signature 'word salad.'
Robby Starbuck wrote on X: 'When SNL is doing skits like this, you know that they think Kamala’s cooked. Mood shifted.
'I see zero on the ground excitement for her. The whole administration is a joke to normal people. A sick, sad, long joke that we’re ready to be done with!' — Daily Mail
Our Take: I never catch this show live, and I sort of forgot it existed in the past few years, but SNL kicked off their 2024-2025 season with an attempt at cultural relevance.
I still didn’t catch it live. The Avalanche were playing (poorly), and then I went to bed, grumpy. But the clips made the rounds on Sunday, and it’s the third week in a row that the sketch “comedy” show is swiping at Harris.
First, it’s sad what passes as comedy in 2024. Ariana Grande playing Celine Dion mocking the UFC only served to make the UFC seem even more badass. And her French accent came off as melodramatic Latina.
The most shared sketch was a Family Feud episode where the campaigns squared off. The bit played on all the latest memes: Kamala word salads, her alleged Glock, Walz being a knucklehead white guy, and Joe Biden’s decline. When they cut to the Trump campaign, the punchline was that Trump has dementia. They made this joke during last week’s “Weekly Update” as well.
None of the sketches I saw were genuinely funny this week. The writing didn’t come within miles of pushing the envelope, comedically. It was safe, and reinforced underlying narratives. From the quality and substance, my guess is that the strategy is to be playful with Kamala criticisms and attempt to show that, even if she’s incompetent, she’s still better than Trump.
SNL is NBC.
Right on cue, Con Inc is claiming, “We are so back!” — as though SNL is an independent entity and making their own creative decisions. For people that appreciate comedy as an art form, SNL writers putting these sketches forward as their best effort work product is so much worse. Safe comedy is rarely, genuinely funny.
Then again, it might be bad on purpose. Hear me out.
As I examine the latest from SNL, I can’t help but consider the show — a NY institution — in the context of the explosive legal landscape in the SDNY.
Is SNL signal? And what is the overlap between Epstein, Diddy, and Saturday Night Live?
On last week’s episode, they tied all three together during “Weekend Update” and, to be fair, unlike the sketches, I found parts of this genuinely funny.
I went to look up how many times Diddy was on SNL, and I ended up here:
This was a sketch on SNL in 2006.
“Diddy Kiddies are three multi-ethnic middle-schoolers ‘solving mysteries, doing the bad thing, they out there going for the brass ring.’ What mystery are the Kiddies trying to solve this week? They’re trying to get to the bottom of what exactly Diddy does for a living.”
The video has been wiped, and the internet archive is still down. If anyone has this, please share in the comments.
In closing, there is definitely more to the story when it comes to SNL’s programming shift.

US confirms it’s sending missile defense battery, 100 troops to operate it, to Israel
The Pentagon on Sunday confirmed that Washington will send an advanced air defense battery to Israel to protect the country in case of an Iranian reaction to an expected Israeli reprisal attack, along with American soldiers to operate it, as Tehran appeared to threaten the US troops to be stationed in the region. A US defense official said around 100 US troops would be deployed to operate the system.
Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin authorized the deployment of the THAAD battery at the direction of President Joe Biden.
Ryder said the system will help bolster Israel’s air defenses following Iran’s missile attacks on Israel in April and October.
“This action underscores the United States’ ironclad commitment to the defense of Israel, and to defend Americans in Israel, from any further ballistic missile attacks by Iran,” Ryder said. — Times of Israel
Our Take: Everybody is making a big stink about "US troops to the Middle East!" but the reality is that it's just a THAAD missile defense system, and 100 troops to operate/defend it.
We've been sending THAAD's to Israel (and every other Arab country in the ME) since 2019. We sent one last October, after the initial attack, with troops.
From yesterday's article:
"The THAAD is considered a complimentary system to the Patriot system but can defend a wider area, capable of hitting targets at ranges of 150-200 kilometers (93-124 miles). Each battery consists of six truck-mounted launchers, 48 interceptors, radio and radar equipment, and requires 95 soldiers to operate."
Anybody who thinks we are going to invade Lebanon with 95 soldiers isn't a serious analyst. We have another 40,000 in the region, mostly on ships, and mostly on routine deployments. I have found no evidence that any US troops have been mobilized to engage in offensive action in any front bordering Israel.
This narrative is yet another nothing burger; seems like another attempt to villainize CENTCOM and General Kurilla. —
"'We, Robot' 10/10 Event": Wall Street Reacts To Elon Musk's Big Cybercab Debut
Tesla's shares stumbled in premarket trading after the company's long-awaited robotaxi event in Burbank, California. The event showcased the robotaxi Cybercab, the futuristic-looking Robovan concept, and the latest version of the humanoid robot, Optimus.
Just hours after the event, some top Wall Street analysts began weighing in, praising the impressive lineup of new innovative products that will revolutionize transportation and other areas of the economy but noting a lack of technical details.
A team of Goldman analysts led by Mark Delaney and Will Bryant attended the robotaxi Cybercab.
The analysts said Tesla "demonstrated very strong progress with the Optimus humanoid robot, and we think the Cybercab looked attractive," but noted, "the lack of data shared on Full Self Driving (FSD) performance, relatively limited details on the robotaxi business plan, and absence of a lower-cost consumer vehicle unveil may be disappointing for some market participants." — ZeroHedge
Our Take: In 2018, Elon Musk announced that the Tesla Model Y would be released in 2019 and would become the world's bestselling car in 2020.
When that didn't come true, the media told people it never would.
The Model Y was released in 2020, and as of 2023, is the world's bestselling vehicle.
In 2019, Elon said there would be a fleet of autonomous vehicles on American roads by the end of 2020.
When that didn't come true, the media told people it never would.
Robotaxis were just demonstrated live on 10/10/24, and enter production in 2025.
Elon Musk (and Donald Trump, by the way,) have recently claimed that, in the near future, American households will be powered by their own individual power packs, forming a decentralized energy grid ... which happens to be the most scalable aspect of Tesla's business plan.
The media says this will not happen.
When you lower your time preference, you begin to see that the future isn't just coming, it's already here.
It's just not evenly distributed yet. —
UN says Israeli tanks burst into peacekeeper base
The United Nations said on Sunday Israeli tanks had burst through the gates of a base of its peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon, the latest accusation of Israeli violations and attacks denounced by its own allies.
The UNIFIL peacekeeping force said two Israeli Merkava tanks destroyed the main gate of a base and forcibly entered before dawn on Sunday morning. After the tanks left, shells exploded 100 metres (yards) away, releasing smoke which blew across the base and sickened U.N. personnel, it said in a statement.
In its version of events, the Israeli military said militants of the Iran-backed group Hezbollah had fired anti-tank missiles at Israeli troops, wounding 25 of them. The attack was very close to a UNIFIL post and a tank helping evacuate the casualties under fire then backed into the UNIFIL post, it said.
"It is not storming a base. It is not trying to enter a base. It was a tank under heavy fire, mass casualty event, backing up to get out of harm's way," the military's international spokesperson Nadav Shoshani told reporters.
In a statement, the military said it used a smoke screen to provide cover for the evacuation of the wounded soldiers but its actions posed no danger to the U.N. peacekeeping force.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement addressed to U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres: "The time has come for you to withdraw UNIFIL from Hezbollah strongholds and from the combat zones."
"The IDF has requested this repeatedly and has met with repeated refusal, which has the effect of providing Hezbollah terrorists with human shields." — Reuters
Our Take: Man, that escalated quickly, huh?
This report of the IDF using chemical weapons is corroborated by the UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) X account.
I'd like to remind everybody of the "Ghouta Chemical Attack" from 2013, when chemical weapons were deployed against civilians in Syria, and the western media and intelligence apparatus blamed it on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Years later, author Seymour Hersh wrote an article that asserted (with supporting evidence) that the attack more likely was conducted by ISIS forces that were given the chemical by the CIA, who trafficked them from Libya, where they were taken from the private armory of the late Muammar Gaddafi.
A second chemical attack was conducted in Syria in 2018, and a chorus of voices online pointed the finger at the same nefarious elements from the western intelligence community. Meanwhile, the Blob (h/t Mike Benz) called Assad a war criminal, and demanded accountability. At the head of this lynch mob was none other than Bibi Netanyahu.
Regardless of who conducted those gas attacks in Syria, they were categorized as "war crimes" by every observer and authority, particularly those in the international rules-based order.
So what will happen here? Will Netanyahu and the IDF be given the same treatment as Assad? Or will Israel continue to enjoy special privileges of impunity that no other country on earth is given? After IDF tanks smashed through the front gates of a UN base and launched chemical weapons at the personnel, in a foreign country against which Israel has not formally declared war?
(This incident, along with others like it, will destroy the globalists' New World Order.) —

Tensions rise between Harris and Biden teams as election nears
The relationship between Kamala Harris' team and Joe Biden's White House has been increasingly fraught in the final weeks before Election Day, 10 people familiar with the situation tell Axios.
Why it matters: Biden's team wants Harris to win the election, but many senior Biden aides remain wounded by the president being pushed out of his re-election bid and are still adjusting to being in a supporting role on the campaign trail.
"They're too much in their feelings," one close Harris ally said of the president's team — a sentiment shared even by some White House aides.
Driving the news: Some on the Harris team say that top White House aides aren't sufficiently coordinating Biden's messaging and schedule to align with what's best for the vice president's campaign.
Biden gave an impromptu press conference in the White House briefing room Friday just as Harris was about to do an event in Michigan, ensuring that her event would get less TV coverage than it otherwise would have.
Earlier in the week, Harris criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for not taking her call about the recent hurricanes, only for Biden to praise DeSantis soon after for being "gracious" and "cooperative." Man Released After Suspected Trump 'Assassination Attempt': What We Know
A man carrying multiple firearms was arrested Saturday outside a rally for former President Donald Trump in California's Coachella Valley, authorities said.
Vem Miller, 49, of Las Vegas, was taken into custody after deputies found him in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department press release.
The arrest occurred at 4:59 p.m. at a checkpoint near Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive, about half a mile from the rally entrance. Miller was driving a black SUV when he was stopped.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, a noted Trump supporter said, "We probably stopped another assassination attempt," according to Southern California News Group.
Authorities reported that Miller was carrying fake press and VIP passes, suggesting a possible attempt to gain closer access to the event.
He was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center on charges of possessing a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine.
"This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
Miller was released Saturday on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Indio Larson Justice Center on Jan. 2, 2025, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department inmate database. — Newsweek

Thanks for getting my week started.
The 1st SNL skit of Family Feud made me laugh a number of times. The best line was about the Diddy Parties. The Dem characters were all pretty funny. Since I consume no DS Rat Bastard MSM the Trump "jokes" made no sense, anybody who actually watches any Trump (65-80% of society) knows that none of their attempts at "jokes" comes close to playing on a real weakness.. I could not make it through the whole 2nd SNL Weekend Update clip, I thought it was that bad.
Overall what I see is how We the People are the news now and the DS Rat Bastard MSM nolonger controls the story.. Before Trump all they had to do is run a few stories and we were sending troops and blowing shit up. Now we simply call bullshit and move forward.
Keep it coming.
God Wins!
God Bless!!!
I don’t believe in early voting, however, as a ‘floating’ poll worker, I fill in for others and cannot leave on Election Day. My question is…how do they know who voted? Our absentee ballots are double sealed….NOT opened until Election Day. So, who’s cheating?
Ghost’s take reminds me of something…the intelligence agencies are pure evil, created to do the cabal’s will, only and always…no matter what they tell us their roles are. Assassinations, murders, coups, child and drug trafficking….nothing is beyond them. (Chemical attacks, too)
Joe Rogan and Trump! It just keeps getting better.
SNL….just another cabal tool…at least up until lately. 🧐 Interesting.
Cabal still trying so very hard to start WWIII and draw us in to distract from the ‘deep state’ demise in the US.
BB’s right! Timing is everything!⏰
Accelerating and escalating narratives and ‘events’ leading up to the election. Pretty late for a swap-out of Okamala and the pedo…
God bless the badlander community!🙏🙏
