The war of lies - like Gaza. My husband was a special ops war veteran who saw serious action. He has seen things no man or serving woman for that matter should ever have to see. He gets more sick to the stomach every day when he sees the carnage being done on 2 fronts. And he despairs at what is likely now a million soldiers dead (mostly young men) in the Ukraine (according to his current intel)for lying politicians who do not repeat give one shit about any soldier or civilian of any nation! And then to walk into villages ( think Gaza think West Bank and yes we have been there !) and have to witness the actual carnage confronting you - blown into tiny bits men women and children! Not this particular conflict but previous ME conflicts for our family. The same playbook, the same players, the same propaganda and for everyone today participating in the current conflicts they too will walk that line when the carnage he faces daily is over. And it will haunt many. Special place in hell for some current psychopaths in government.
So years ago at a Veterans Day occasion in the Somme, France (a huge war cemetery) we met a veteran Scottish retired Colonel who gave us this quote from him as I remember it - worth thinking about!

This is not a new phenomenon by any means; it is likely that every generation of mankind - no matter their homeland or heritage - have faced a revelation of the darker side of their ancestry and history. So be it: we have all fallen; none are without accountability! I cannot change my past; we cannot change the past that produced the next layer of the soil and dirt and mire of all of the generations of fallen Man.
What I (we) can do is acknowledge the Truth and choose to see our fellow travelers in the same Light that our Lord and Creator sees us all: "For God so loves all of His created order, that He gave His own life..." and "He has purchased with His own blood, those from every nation, people, language and tribe..."
The great strategy (Doubt, Deny, Deceive --> Steal, Kill, Destroy) can and has been overcome; we need only to accept and apply the winning strategy in our own lives to avoid the Death and Hades our enemy desires for us all and individually.
I listened to the David Cooper interview and found it very interesting. He clearly explained that his approach when analyzing historical events was to try to understand the mindset of people on all sides of the equation. Too often, we are told a version of history that has been dictated to us our whole lives, but only represents one version of events - the state sanctified version. I think Cooper's nuanced understanding of historical events was an intriguing approach. He didn't look at any villainous figure, like Jim Jones or Hitler, as that they came out of the womb that way. He did not deny their evil. He was simply curious about what took them from how they started out in life, likely a non-evil person, and what led them to turn into the monsters they became. It may not be how most people view history, but I found it an approach worth evaulating and at the very least, worth listening to, particularly in light of the citizens of the world discovering over the past several years that we have mostly been lied to for our whole lives about every important events and aspect of our lives.
