There really was no insurrection, I was there. Ours konked out after over 25 years. Same with the 30-gallon hot water tank, 2 people had to stagger showers with washing clothes it was worse. We bought a large Jacuzzi Tankless. Worth every penny. New roof courtesy of high wind damage, we upgraded the shingles to 50 years. The ceiling still hasn't been repainted. Nor walls, sick of looking at Sage green. Wrong paint on doors, and in wet areas. The flat paint doesn't work in the kitchen/bath.
Thank the good Lord Hub can repair most of our appliances, as he learned in VoTech HS. He could wire a house to NY code back in 1960. This house had all the light/fan switches backward.
