EU elections: populist right makes gains but pro-European centre holds
It wasn’t just in France that the far right was celebrating on Sunday night. In Germany and Austria, parties on the populist right made stunning gains in the European elections – but despite that, the pro-European centre appeared to have held in a set of results likely to complicate EU lawmaking.
In France, Emmanuel Macron called snap legislative elections after a crushing defeat of his allies by Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally, while in Germany, Olaf Scholz’s coalition had a bad night as the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) made significant gains.
The Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union, now in opposition, took a decisive lead, with 30.9% of the vote, according to provisional results. The AfD jumped to 14.2% from 11% in 2019, despite a slew of scandals, including its lead candidate saying that the SS, the Nazi’s main paramilitary force, were “not all criminals”.
Scholz’s Social Democratic party slid to 14.6%, worse than its weakest ever result in 2019, according to the exit poll. The Greens, who came second in 2019 with 20.5%, were knocked down to fourth place with 12.8%.
Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni’s position as possible kingmaker was confirmed by exit polls that showed her hard-right Brothers of Italy party winning 26%-30% of the vote, comfortably ahead of its centre-left rivals on 21%-25%.
In Austria, meanwhile, the far-right Freedom party came top, with 25.7%, ahead of the conservative People’s party and the Social Democrats, on 24.7% and 23.2% respectively. — The Guardian
Our Take: In his January 20, 1961 inauguration, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy gave a powerful address:
‘The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe - the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.’
The word of the day is, ‘Euroskepticism,’ and I’m here for it. The people of Europe voted Sunday, delivering a stunning rebuke of globalism in the European Parliamentary (Europarl) elections. Still, the Guardian is predicting that, despite the widespread upsets, Ursula von der Leyen may have retained enough support to secure a second term.
Europe is weird.
The result in France was so significant that President Macron immediately announced he was dissolving the French Parliament and calling for snap elections. Marine Le Pen basically said FAFO in her response to Macron’s not-at-all-tyrannical news, and the French people will begin voting for new representation in their national parliament in just three weeks (first round). If Macron’s party loses that election, he will be a lame duck president until April 2027. As a reminder, in France there are no mail-in ballots, no voting machines, and no exceptions to voter ID requirements.
Over in Belgium, it was ‘Super Sunday’ where the people voted for their new national parliament as well as Europarl and some local / regional elections. The results promoted the Prime Minister of the de facto EU capital to resign — though replacing him may take more than a year because, again, Europe is weird.
In Germany, there is speculation that the nation’s coalition government may collapse after the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party won 16% of the Europarl vote, pushing Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s SPD party into third place. The SPD hasn’t done this badly in a national vote since 1949. Germany will hold regional elections in September.
Populist candidates — naturally being labeled ‘far right’ by the globalist media — also made significant gains in Italy, Austria, and the Netherlands. Global Socialists came out on top in Malta, Romania and Sweden.
Globalism is in dangerous territory as the people of Europe appear to be reclaiming their sovereignty, skeptical of the value exchange they have with the European Union. Populism is no longer just a spark. It’s a raging fire.
Back to JFK’s 1961 inaugural, and thinking of our own US elections going on now via the primary process, 2024 may well be the year we make good on 35’s vision:
‘In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility - I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it - and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.’
Vive la révolution. Nous accélérerons. —
The main takeaways after the far right rocks European politics, sparking a snap election in France
A four-day election has shaken the foundations of the European Union, with the far right rocking ruling parties in France and Germany, the bloc’s traditional driving forces. For the next five years it will be harder for the European Parliament to make decisions.
French President Emmanuel Macron called snap national elections after Marine Le Pen’s National Rally humbled his pro-European centrists in the polls. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats also suffered as the extreme-right Alternative for Germany shrugged off scandals to make massive gains.
In Italy, the party of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, which has neo-fascist roots, won more than 28% of the national vote for the EU assembly, which would make it a key player in forming future alliances.
Green and pro-business liberal groups across Europe suffered heavy defeats, but mainstream formations held their ground, with the center-right European People’s Party remaining the biggest bloc in the 27-nation EU’s assembly. — AP News
Our Take: I know there have been a few takes on the continued fallout of the EU Parliamentary elections since the weekend, but the hits just keep on coming (for Deep State Globalists,) and I think it’s worth marinating in the wins we get in this chaotic Info War, as they can sometimes seem few and far between.
had a great run-down above, but I found this particular AP piece to be utterly fascinating not because of the figures it cites, but rather because of the barely-concealed venom its author reserves for such dastardly and cunning enemies as … wait for it … NATIONALISTS!No doubt, those of us in the MAGA/America First mindset are no strangers to the re-branding of ‘nationalism’ as Nazi-lite, but we’re not the only ones; in fact, the irony that this sort of Globalist media caterwauling has partially led to the very nationalist backlash they’re now wailing about is decidedly delicious.
So suck it, you Clown World commie propagandists.
This is only the beginning of the sovereign renaissance. —
Trump’s calls for political vengeance worry Senate GOP
Some Senate Republicans are expressing concerns over former President Trump’s calls for political vengeance after the 2024 election, warning that retaliatory prosecutions will lead the country down a bad road.
The Senate GOP’s top leaders — Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Whip John Thune (S.D.) — have shown no desire to embrace Trump’s calls to prosecute senior Biden administration officials or his longtime nemesis Hillary Clinton.
And some GOP senators are pushing back against conservative colleagues who want to freeze Justice Department funding or defund special counsel Jack Smith’s criminal prosecutions of Trump.
They don’t want to stumble into a government shutdown by waging war over the Justice Department’s budget or taking other retaliatory steps favored by Trump’s allies.
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) says he thought Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) case against Trump was “an unjust prosecution.”
But he’s concerned about Trump’s vow to retaliate with politically motivated prosecutions from his own Justice Department if he’s elected in November.
“This is not the direction we want this country to go,” he said. “I think it’s time for adults to take over with regard to the Senate, and it’s time for adults to take over in regards [to] how we treat the judicial climate in this country. — The Hill
Our Take: Let's cut through all the bulls***.
I thoroughly enjoyed the DPH crew's analysis on Saturday night of the Dr. Phil-Trump interview. I completely agree with Patrick that we witnessed an emissary of the Empire begging, on behalf of the oligarchy, for their lives.
Listening to these reprobates opine about "fair justice" is rather nauseating, though I do get tickled pink when I hear Andrew McCabe vent about sleepless nights and somber conversations over which foreign nations have the most favorable extradition laws. (Hint: when it comes to pedophilia, the answer is Israel.)
I suppose these arguments about "revenge" and "political retribution" are somewhat compelling to the eunuch demographic, but may I suggest an alternative strategy that may subvert, entirely, these pedantic diversions?
Go after the Republican traitors first.
Think about it. If the first group of parasites targeted for "treatment" (talking about criminal prosecution, Maddow; keep your shirt on) happen to have little R's next to their name, then that, technically, is not political persecution. It actually makes Trump's decision to stick with the GOP, rather than go third-party, a pretty genius move. And you get the added benefit of putting the righteous fear of God into the Democrats, who will have to stand by and witness, in horror, as their colleagues are eaten alive by the Justice System, right in front of them. (It's a metaphor, clowns, ever heard of it?)
Personally, I think Washington DC is long overdue for a true season of fear; Not one that is inspired by vigilantes and violent chaos, but one that is inspired by the rule of law, and the order of civilized men. —
BRICS developing platform for transactions in national currencies – Lavrov
BRICS is prioritizing the creation of a platform that will enable member states to conduct transactions in national currencies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
Speaking at a meeting of the economic bloc’s foreign ministers in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Lavrov said BRICS was “actively working to implement the decisions of the Johannesburg summit last year, particularly when it comes to improving the international monetary and financial system, developing a platform for settlements in national currencies in mutual trade.”
He added that the bloc, which recently underwent a process of unprecedented expansion, is also looking to harmonize the framework of interaction between BRICS partners.
“Our agenda is extensive. It includes issues that will directly affect the future world order based on fair grounds,” Lavrov said. — RT
Our Take: Following Sunday’s Europarl elections, there were two meme assertions on socials:
(1) The elections’ biggest loser was Klaus Schwab, and
(2) The elections’ biggest winner was Vladimir Putin.
This BRICS news enables local currency exchanges and employs blockchain — features that point to the prioritization of diplomacy over dominance.
In other words, BRICS is enabling national sovereignty at the very moment the people of Europe (and, honestly, the world) are demanding national sovereignty. How deliciously destabilizing for the EU!
‘As of 2023, BRICS accounted for a total of 32% of global GDP.’ In contrast, the US is a little more than 24% (2022). The BRICS coalition is formidable against western global dominance. Any way you slice this news, it reinforces an inevitable multipolar world — not just in strategy, but via a reasonable execution framework.
That’s a good thing.

U.S. to Offer Landmark Defense Treaty to Saudi Arabia in Effort to Spur Israel Normalization Deal
The Biden administration is close to finalizing a treaty with Saudi Arabia that would commit the U.S. to help defend the Gulf nation as part of a long-shot deal to encourage diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Israel, U.S. and Saudi officials said.
But the success of the diplomatic effort hinges on Israel’s commitment to a separate Palestinian state, and more immediately an end to the war in Gaza, an unlikely proposition amid months of fruitless cease-fire talks and an Israeli weekend raid to retrieve hostages from the heart of the territory.
The U.S. aims to present Israeli leaders with an opportunity to achieve their long-sought goal of establishing normal relations with Saudi Arabia, opening the door to greater acceptance in the Arab and Muslim worlds. In return, Israel must support a credible pathway toward a two-state solution with the Palestinians, something the current Israeli government and most of the country’s public oppose.
The diplomatic push for a defense pact with Riyadh marks a remarkable turnaround for President Biden, who as a candidate vowed to treat Saudi Arabia as a pariah and make it pay a price for the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a U.S. resident. Biden is now on the cusp of making a formal commitment to protect the oil-rich monarchy, which is charting an ambitious path of economic and social development while still suppressing dissent.
“It would be the first time the U.S. concluded a mutual defense pact that would carry the force of law since the 1960 revision of the U.S.-Japan treaty, and the first time it concluded such an agreement with an authoritarian country,” said Aaron David Miller, a former U.S. peace negotiator now with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a Washington-based think tank. — WSJ
Our Take: This is a very ominous—and foolish—development.
I will remind everybody that the Oil Embargo of 1973-74, where King Faisal of Saudi Arabia halted the sale of oil to the United States and its allies, in retaliation to their support of Israel's Yom Kippur War, was brought to a resolution by Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, by promising Faisal that the United States would protect Saudi Arabia from Israel's aggressive warmongering.
However, Kissinger had a caveat. Saudi Arabia had to agree to only trade their oil in US dollars, which had just become "fiat" after Nixon removed it from the gold standard in 1971.
Thus, the creation of the petrodollar.
Thereafter, Kissinger almost immediately resigned from Nixon's cabinet, riding off into the sunset to join the recently formed Trilateral Commission and World Economic Forum—two projects that he had dispatched his underlings, Zbigniew Brzezinski and Klaus Schwab, to create while he was busy facilitating the financial enslavement of the American People.
So we should be very careful about this style of negotiation.
The good news is that Saudi Arabia doesn't really need the protection of the United States—certainly not the protection of Joe Biden, who can hardly manage to appear in public without defecating all over himself. Not only does Saudi Arabia have the allegiance of both Russia and China, but Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his star diplomat, Faisal bin Farhan, have spent the past 5 years making friends with every nation on earth, forging close relations that are reinforced with mutually beneficial bilateral agreements.
Nobody is going to war with Saudi Arabia, and anybody who does is going to have a whole clan of nation-states coming after them, as they seek to protect their financial and strategic interests. In fact, it is MBS who Joe Biden will probably need to rely on to help navigate the tempest that is 2024 geopolitics, all thanks to the simpletons in the State Department—who have absolutely no idea how to engage in diplomacy without a bag of cash and a dagger in their hand.
I have enjoyed laughing at these idiots, as they perpetually trip over themselves in their foolish attempt to project strength and competence. —
Elon Slams Apple's Farcical "AI" Launch, Says Will Ban Tim Cook's "Creepy Spyware" Devices If They Integrate OpenAI
In the end, Apple's 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference proved to be a flop, with the stock sliding 1.9%, its worst WWDC performance since 2010 and the 4th worst in the iPhone era.
It wasn't supposed to be like this: Apple was supposed to make the grand introduction of (Open AI's ChatGPT) artificial intelligence features and pretend they are the company's, leading to the long-overdue surge in AAPL stock which has painfully underperformed most pure AI names. However, once the market realized that Apple can even in house its own AI module, that's when the wheels fell off (the "introduction" of a calculator for the iPad did not help Apple's trailblazing image).
But the slump in AAPL stock was just the start of its woes. Shortly after the close, in response to OpenAI founder Andrej Karpathy's observation that the laughably named "Apple Intelligence" as it will be called (and which Elon Musk said it is "neither Apple nor intelligent") will be a persistent layer on top of the entire Apple operating system, Elon Musk made the casual observation that Apple's approach means that "we can never turn it off", in other words it is an always on spying system feeding the OpenAI LLM (and who knows what and who else) with constant data.
That's when the fireworks started.
Realizing that his sworn enemy Sam Altman (whose "non-profit" ChatGPT only exists thanks to funding from Musk in the first place) is using his chatbot to supplant Amazon as the most ubiquitous spyware system in the world by having it installed across the entire Apple ecosystem, Musk first responded to an X user that he might have to launch his own phone "if Apple actually integrates woke nanny AI spyware into their OS"
... before directly telling Tim Cook that "he doesn't want" the latest Apple product, and adding that "either stop this creepy spyware or all Apple devices will be banned from the premises of my companies." — ZeroHedge
Our Take: This story may seem tangential to the Info War, but I think it’s actually quite seismic, and it runs along multiple layers of the Collective Mind.
For starters, seeing Globalist mega corporations like Apple lose ground in the technological zeitgeist is affirming, but I think this pissing match between Elon Musk and Tim Cook goes far beyond AI software.
As I’ve been documenting for several months, now—even going back two years—I believe a HUGE aspect of the ‘plan to save the world’ involves the patriot subversion of the ‘Great Reset’ into an inverted (and positive) ‘Good Reset,’ and I think semiconductor (ie: CHIPS) manufacturing has a LOT to do with this reset, as it stands to bring American production back in a big way while simultaneously shoring up national energy, technology and, yes, defense in the process.
In short, I believe the AI play was meant to come a way’s down the road, and that it was meant to be dominated by companies like Apple and others in what I refer to as the American Oligarchy … but I believe patriots front-ran them and undercut them, not just domestically, but worldwide …
Or did you think Xi Jinping’s side of the trade reeking havoc on Apple, Microsoft and other members of the western globalist bloc was a coincidence? —
College of Pediatricians Slams Flawed Science of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’
The refreshingly sensible American College of Pediatricians (ACP) has urged their fellow physicians to reject the harmful protocols informing so-called “gender-affirming care.”
We call upon the medical professional organizations of the United States “to follow the science and their European professional colleagues and immediately stop the promotion of social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for children and adolescents who experience distress over their biological sex,” writes the ACP in a joint declaration titled “Doctors Protecting Children.”
A number of U.S.-based medical organizations still base their protocols for treating gender dysphoria on the “demonstrably flawed” Standards of Care developed by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Declaration notes.
The Declaration specifically calls out the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for their failure to update their recommendations for treating gender dysphoria in the light of important research revealing the serious defects in the current approach.
“Evidence-based medical research now demonstrates there is little to no benefit from any or all suggested ‘gender affirming’ interventions for adolescents experiencing Gender Dysphoria,” the Declaration states. — Breitbart
Our Take: Most Americans don’t care who you have sex with — unless you find it appropriate to talk about with children. When adults crave an audience of children for their perversion, you’re dealing with psychopaths.
Psychopathy is ‘characterized by impaired empathy and remorse, and bold, disinhibited and egocentric traits masked by superficial charm, and the outward appearance of apparent normalcy.’ When you allow psychopaths to have access to kids, you end up with mutilated, suicidal kids. ‘But the doctor seemed so nice!’
Yep. Psychopath.
There is no medical or moral argument in favor of supporting gender affirming care for children, given what we know about its impacts. Gender affirming care is not only destroying childhood innocence in favor of mad science, it serves as a beard for pedophilia. Good on the College of Pediatricians for taking this position. Better late than never.
While it’s taking longer than expected for reality to reassert itself in the current gender moment, reality will reassert itself. It’s inevitable. Anecdotally, Pride celebrations seem more muted in 2024 than in recent Junes.
It’s still all rainbows here in Colorado, but alphabet community activists are cautioning exhibitionists to save the orgy for the after party; that is, don’t have group sex at noon in the middle of the street with children watching.
Baby steps, I guess.
Maybe it’s the election year thing, and Democrats want to appear less insane, perverse, and destructive. Maybe it’s the increasing public backlash against rainbow communism. Either way, the change this month is undeniable as reality reasserts.
And that’s a good thing. —
‘Negative Neutrality’ – Palestinian Authority ‘Weak and Irrelevant’
Abbas, whose four-year term expired in 2009, has stubbornly refused to accept demands for fresh elections. In effect, the general view is that he has shut the door on reform of the undemocratic PA.
South Africa’s solidarity movements in support of Palestine’s freedom struggle against Zionism’s illegal settler colonial regime and resistance to the genocide in Gaza, have constantly raised justified concerns about the dubious role of the Palestinian Authority (PA).
Led by Mahmoud Abbas, the PA is a construct of the discredited 1993 Oslo Accords. Due to it having limited power in terms of self-rule in the Occupied West Bank, many have compared it to South Africa’s apartheid-era ‘Bantustan’ formations.
More than three decades since the PA was created, ostensibly to govern an “independent” Palestinian state, the Oslo “peace pact” has proven to be a mirage.
Many commentators have concluded that the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) prematurely and perhaps hastily gave up armed resistance against Israel in return for the “promises” of an independent Palestinian state. — Palestine Chronicle
Our Take: Today, I'm taking a different approach. The article I am choosing to highlight is a demonstration.
Yesterday, I presented data in which I found compelling evidence to suggest that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was part of the Sovereign Alliance, and one of Trump's chosen agents of peace in the Middle East. (If you watch the below video—which is from a December 2021 interview with Israel Channel 12 news—he explicitly states this.)
When it comes to this open-source intelligence analysis, we are often left with little more than crumbs to analyze, and from which we have to try and discern a bigger picture. You develop theories, characters, events, and if you do it accurately, you can begin to project (read: predict) how those characters are going to behave in a given situation.
For example,
and I have established on Breaking History that the modern Muslim Brotherhood was created by British Intelligence in Cairo in 1928, to act as its proxy. It is also understood that the Brotherhood uses media assets to exert its public influence. (A common practice in the intelligence tradecraft, documented by the US government.)So when I suspect that a journalist is maybe connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, there is a check-list of very specific items that I use to verify my suspicions.
One would be "Middle East" news outlets that are based in Qatar, London, or the US. That would be Al Jazeera—which critics have accused of being a Muslim Brotherhood front, and was banned by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the UAE in 2017—or the Middle East Eye, which was listed as a "Qatar/Muslim Brotherhood media asset" in a leaked document that was generated as part of a presentation for the MB by former CIA agent Kevin Chalkner, who had allegedly been hired by the MB to run Operation Endgame against Senator Ted Cruz, in order to thwart his attempts to designate the Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.
I also look to see whether those suspected journalists supported the 2011 Arab Spring uprisings, which have been proven to have been coordinated color revolutions by the Brotherhood, designed to overthrow governments across the Middle East. (Also, were they vehemently in support of the CIA's findings concerning "martyred journalist" Jamal Khashoggi?)
What I found is that both the author of this article, Iqbal Jassat, and the founder of the Palestine Chronicle—a US-based 501(c)3—Dr. Ramzy Baroud, check all of these boxes.
Dr. Baroud, a US-educated Palestinian-American, was a former managing editor of both the [London-based] Middle East Eye and [Qatar-based] Al Jazeera. He was a very vocal supporter of Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Morsi, who led the revolution that overthrew the Egyptian government in 2011. (A counter-military coup was led by General Al-Sisi in 2013, and Morsi was jailed. He died in the courtroom during the trial in 2019.)
Both Baroud and Iqbal Jassat, the author of this article, demand that the public blindly accept the findings of the American CIA in the death of Jamal Khashoggi—which is an odd position for Islamic "activists" to adopt—despite any real evidence being presented to support the allegations of the Saudi Crown Prince's involvement. Both writers insist that MBS be deposed and removed from power.
So I find it very suspicious that Jassat is now using Baroud's platform to call for the public rejection of Mahmoud Abbas in Palestine, and the embrace of "armed resistance" against Israel. Seems to me that they are carrying the water for western intelligence agencies— embracing the role of controlled opposition—but that's just my opinion.
(Oh yeah, they also don't like Trump. Go figure.) —

Pelosi declared in video shot by daughter 'I take responsibility' for Jan. 6 security failures
Moments after being whisked away from the U.S. Capitol after it was breached on Jan. 6, 2021, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was captured on videotape declaring "I take responsibility" for failing to have a better security plan for the complex that fateful day, according to footage released Monday by House GOP investigators.
“We have responsibility, Terri," Pelosi is heard saying on the videotape to her chief of staff, Terri McCullough. "We did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have. This is ridiculous.”
Pelosi also said: “You’re going to ask me – in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff – ‘should we call the Capitol Police, I mean the National Guard?’ Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”
McCullough, replied as the speaker’s SUV raced through an underground parking garage: “They thought that they had sufficient ... resources."
Pelosi responded, clearly frustrated: "No, that’s not a question of how they had ... they don’t know. They clearly didn’t know. And I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”
Pelosi seemed to be referring to congressional leaders, and McCullough seemed to be referring to the U.S. Capitol Police force. — Just the News
Ukrainian warplane fires weapon at target inside Russia for first time
A Ukrainian warplane has for the first time fired a weapon that struck a target inside Russia, a Ukrainian military source has told Sky News.
The source said a "Russian command node" was hit on Sunday in the area of Belgorod, western Russia.
Belgorod is close to the border with northeastern Ukraine.
It was not immediately clear what type of munition was used in the attack, including whether or not it had been a Western weapon.
The United States and France recently said the Ukrainian armed forces were permitted to use their arms to strike military targets inside Russia - from where Russian forces are launching attacks against Ukraine.
Under new guidance approved by President Joe Biden, American munitions can be used on Russian soil to help defend the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine.
Lord Cameron, the UK foreign secretary, has been less specific, merely saying it was up to Ukraine to decide how they use British weapons - such as Storm Shadow cruise missiles that can be fired by Ukrainian jets. — Sky News
Canada’s Parliament rocked by allegations of treason
The capital of one of the world’s most stable democracies is gripped by growing panic about foreign agents working in elected office. A bombshell report by Canadian lawmakers has unnerved Parliament Hill, alleging that unnamed politicians have been covertly working with foreign governments.
The revelation in heavily redacted findings released this week by an all-party national security committee adds intrigue to a separate and ongoing inquiry into foreign interference in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections.
The new report from the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians is the first to suggest that lawmakers in Canada’s parliament may have helped foreign actors meddle in political campaigns and leadership races. Heightened anxiety in Ottawa about foreign interference comes in the middle of historic global elections where factors such as artificial intelligence and emboldened foreign powers are testing the resilience of democratic systems.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been on the defensive since the allegations broke Monday. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling on the government to name names.
“The national security committee indicates there are members of this House that have knowingly worked for foreign hostile governments,” Poilievre said Wednesday. “Canadians have a right to know who and what is the information — who are they?”
The findings put pressure on Canada’s national police force to investigate potential criminal charges. The report also refuels debate on the ability of the federal government’s deterrence mechanisms to curb foreign interference in a country whose political and legal system is considered one of the highest-performing in the world. — Politico

Russia’s economy is soaring…they have moved into 4th place, ahead of Japan and Russia has little debt! I am happy for Russia!
Great Brief and Take by Ashe on the flawed “science” of gender-affirming care.
“Maybe it’s the election year thing, and Democrats want to appear less insane, perverse, and destructive”….too late for that now. 🙏❤️
First time I have simply scanned the morning brief from you all and hit the "Save as New" button. Why? There is just Too Much Great Stuff in there! I don't have time at the moment to dive in. You guy ROCK and the news cycle is getting So Intense! Woo hoo! Found a neighbor waiting on my front porch yesterday when I got home. He wanted to discuss Kim Clement's "2 Presidents" prophecy. I told him all about Devolution (thank God for Jon:). The previous day I bumped into retired HOA president here... he and his wife kept saying, "You've been right about everything!" They always used to listen to me in polite silence. Now they are blabbering:) Love it!!!!!
