Game on, indeed! There will be a lot of precedents established by this fraudulent Manhattan DA’s prosecution! Obama, Bush, Clinton(s), paying attention? Soros? I don’t know anyone among my friends (liberal or conservative) that believes this is anything but trumped up charges against political opponents. Election interference in the news, up front and addressed daily; sounds brilliant, doesn’t it? I believe the only way to successfully end ‘their’ reign IS through the rule of law and for the next 18 +/- months, it will be in the ‘news’ daily as the DS drag this out, so more and more will awaken. Dershowitz was an Epstein visitor, remember, so he’s likely ‘required’ to support constitutional law. The US leadership is corrupt and likely ARE the main puppets of the globalist cabal, since the Nazis made the US their new HQ after WWII, but ‘we the people’ have nothing in common with our federal government and we are not going to tolerate their great reset OR their new world order. Period.

God bless you gifted, courageous citizen journalists!

"When elephants fight, it is the grass that gets hurt the most."

-- African proverb

The titanic struggle we are all watching is not between the American people and the Russian people, or really for that matter Russia and the USA. As we know, it is between the shadowy forces of the Cabal/controllers/Deep State/Globalists and freedom-seeking people everywhere. [They] use their proxy forces, wherever they can find them, to inflict whatever damage they can, whenever and wherever they can.

When they had control over essentially all of the media, and the most powerful military in the world, they were able to do pretty much whatever they wanted. But now, with the US Mil in the hands of patriots and the MSM quickly being relegated to the dustbin of history, we watch as [their] power is waning. Finally, after ca. 2000 years, maybe more.

I am thankful for Badlands Media and Substack for being in the vanguard of this new media movement, and proud to be a sponsor. Only in hindsight, after the dust of this titanic struggle settles, will it become clear just how important their work has been.

God bless Badlands and all of its contributors. 🙏

Thank you Badlands Media. Editorial errors and all. There is nothing wrong with pointing out errors if in doing so you are respectful and genuinely want to help. I’m not going to judge the intent here, instead I’m going to thank everyone here, writers and readers!! We are a solid community!! 👏🏻

"We have some good minds here at Badlands, minds that have *poured* over these questions long and hard." But minds which, unfortunately, don't know the difference between "poured" and "pored".

Appreciate the catch. Usually am editing these around 2am, so have made some mistakes.

I know the feeling and sympathise. I find it difficult to spot mistakes in my own work without waiting at least three months: a delay, which is hardly practical! This is why an independent checker is essential. (I'm not volunteering; I have enough work already, despite being "retired"!) Thanks for the great articles! :)

I've been writing for fifty years and I'm also a Copy Editor - something that Badlands appears to be lacking. All writers make mistakes, which is why copy editing is essential. As regards criticising, I simply point out glaring errors; how else will people learn? How can publishing companies improve if they are unaware of the mistakes?

In my opinion, these guys are not writing literary masterpieces intended to be read and re-read by future generations. No, they are producing real-time commentary on important events of our times. As in, a few days from now few if any eyes will see these works again.

In a world, and in a format, where timeliness trumps accuracy, I applaud their work. I also have experience editing and reviewing for peer-reviewed journals, so I see the same errors you do -- and ignore them.

Some of us are willing to give some of our time for free in order to help others. I live in Greece and I speak Greek, German, French and Spanish (rather badly). I speak to locals and to tourists in their own language unless they are desperate to learn English. Some people correct my mistakes, which helps me to improve: even at age 72 I'm still able to learn. But some simply ignore my mistakes. In fact, by not questioning my meaning, they sometimes walk away without even knowing what I was saying! Not helpful.

And, by the way, I'm not criticising writers; I think that I made that clear. It's the responsibility of the publisher to correct errors. Obviously, if there's no publisher then the writer needs to find someone competent to check the work instead. I already do volunteer work such as this (free) so I can't spare the time but maybe you could.

As regards "timeliness trumps accuracy," I think that's an unfortunate trend. You know the old adage: "there's never time to do it right but there's always time to do it over"? Some mistakes (e.g. substitute words with opposite meanings or misplaced punctuation) can have serious consequences that land the publisher in court.

That's my last word. I have a book to edit.

We're all giving time for free here. And most of us are busy as you are, with both paying and volunteer work. All good.

Timeliness vs accuracy -- nobody will likely bother fixing these minor typos. 'pore' vs 'pour' -- obvious homonym error with little impact on the meaning, and little chance that I can see for a legal challenge.

Thanks for the discussion; free minds are free to disagree on such matters so long as it is done respectfully, which I also thank you for.
