If the jury does the correct thing, this case is dead. But, the best thing Costello said yesterday was that DA Bragg had no desire to hear any evidence beneficial to Trump. Apparently he had offered the proof necessary to clear Trump and Bragg refused to consider it. That is huge! When I retired in 2008 all staff hired and volunteers had background checks. I subbed for a while after I retired and I went through a background check in any new district in which I subbed. Maybe bc yours is a private school? My grandchildren attend public school and that policy is still in place in their schools. My son and daughter are very involved in their children’s schools. My daughter was able to have recess time, which was 10 minutes after lunch, increased at the Middle School through posts on the parent Facebook page and writing letters to the principals and Superintendent. She researched the benefits of physical activity on critical thinking, creativity, learning, etc. She wrote a letter to the principals and Superintendent citing her sources. It took awhile but they made a plan for longer recess! You can get involved and make change happen! Awareness is the first step. 😊

If Israel wanted to commit genocide it would have been done within a week. They've already found 70 tunnels in Rafah so far. 50 of those tunnels cross into Egypt. It's time Israel eliminate the threat to their country once and for all. Palestinians have never had a claim to Gaza and are not entitled to any of it. Those who want to live there in peace have been welcomed to do so - Israel hasn't been in Gaza for almost 20 years. Those who want to eliminate Israel will need to find someplace else to live. Giving voice to the fake "justice" coming from the UN and ICJ just perpetuates the already widespread antisemitism. Israel needs to take control of Gaza for good - not two-state solution will ever work with the hate that defines the Palestinian people.
I hope with all of my heart that no one is offended by my post this morning; that I have clearly communicated my convictions regarding the value and importance of human life - no matter where it lives or comes from.
On Israel: God Loves the Whole of His Creation - always has and always will! That Love includes accountability - consequences for our choices. The more insight one is given the greater the accountability...period!
As for "Israel's" rights to the land of promise given to them by YHVH: they might have a case if they had upheld their side of the contracts - but if they had, they would not need to make a case. The physical covenants that are being relied on to justify their ("Israel's") claims were bi-lateral...and God has always fulfilled His side of the contract. They required obedience on the part of the sons of Jacob; not just circumcision and sabbaths - both which they repeatedly violated - but over 600 instructions. They were exiled because they had not given the land its sabbaths - and the ark of testimony was lost to them; God's dwelling place was removed...and replaced by a "stone".
In Moses' song (recorded in Deuteronomy 32) all of what has happened was foretold!
The purpose of the covenant promises were to provide a lineage for the Messiah (the "Other Prophet" God promised to send); the timing for His coming is clearly given by Gabriel to Daniel in Daniel 9:24-27. And so, ALL of the physical promises of the covenants with Abraham and Moses were fulfilled by Jesus, the Messiah (Matt.5:17); the One Whom God sent because of His Love for all of His creation. And then He established the New Covenant - the covenant that Jeremiah and Isaiah and Ezekiel and...(insert your favorite prophet) saw. Jesus did not abolish the old covenants, He fulfilled them!
The New is available to "the uttermost parts of the earth"...but we each choose!

History shows us that when the "covenant people" refused to recognize their Messiah, the final severing of their natural promises ended - they were pruned from the olive tree (as Jesus forewarned). The culmination of that was seen in AD 70 when the siege of the first Jewish-Roman war revealed that, what Moses said would happen in Leviticus 26 did: they "ate the flesh of their sons and daughters". This unleashed such fury that Prince Titus could not stop the heathen Roman soldiers from destroying the city and the temple (as Jesus warned them would happen).
Let me state clearly: God loves all of the peoples of the earth - they (we) are all His children. Palestinians, Israelis, Russians, Chinese, Indians, Europeans...And He asks us to do the same. Let me also state: the system of Babylon will use any and every means available for taking peace from the earth - dividing man against man through any and all points of difference.
Wrong done by any of these is wrong. Period. But never a greater (or lesser) wrong simply because of which nation/people/tribe/gender/social class/etc. is guilty. God made us in His Image and Likeness which allows us all "choice"; but He holds us all accountable - each, the same.
