Now, onto the news from Tuesday, November 14 …
House passes funding bill to avoid government shutdown
The House passed Speaker Mike Johnson's funding bill to avert a government shutdown.
It passed on a bipartisan basis by a vote of 336 to 95 – with 209 of the votes coming from Democrats.
The bill was opposed by 93 Republicans and two Democrats.
Now, the Senate will need to approve the measure before Friday.
The two-step plan extends funding until January 19 for priorities including military construction, Veterans Affairs, transportation, housing and the Energy Department. The rest of the government — anything not covered by the first step — would be funded until February 2.
The proposal does not include additional aid for Israel or Ukraine. — CNN
Our Take: “In news that surprises no one, the Congress passed another continuing resolution. Interestingly, more Democrats voted for the funding than Republicans, with 93 Republicans voting against. This is likely political, and is indicative of who is facing difficult challenges in next election. I have zero faith that it has to do with integrity or ‘promises made, promises kept,’ especially considering that this is literally an unkept promise.
Republican leadership is calling this a ‘win’ and talking about their levels of super seriousness. It appears we will be playing this game again in January, and February, because there is nothing new under the sun.
At the end of the day, the good news is that the Congress continues to reveal that they are irreparably dysfunctional and useless.” —
Survey: Donald Trump Wins Electoral College Versus Biden, Who Smokes DeSantis
Former President Donald Trump would win the electoral college over President Joe Biden, but Biden would trounce Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), according to an analysis from Stack Data Strategy among 15,205 registered voters nationwide.
The in-depth survey, conducted from October 13 to November 3 and released in Politico on Monday, found that Trump would garner 292 electoral votes and win back the White House in a hypothetical general election matchup with Biden, who would secure 246 electoral votes. However, Biden would narrowly win the popular vote, 49 percent to 48 percent:

Our Take: “I don't pay a lot of attention to surveys and polls, though they're often worth keeping in mind merely in terms of internal media consistency.
But this one is just too rich to pass up.
We all know Trump would trounce Biden in a real election, but, honestly, Biden probably would wipe the floor with DeSantis.

"We Can Finish It Here": US Senator Challenges Teamsters President To Fight During Congressional Hearing
A tense moment ensued in Congress after Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) challenged Teamsters President Sean O'Brien to a fight during a meeting of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
"This is a time, this is a place to run your mouth. We can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here," Mullin said, reading a June 21 tweet from O'Brien in which he called the Republican Senator "a clown & a fraud."
"Quit the tough guy act in these senate hearings," the tweet continues. "You know where to find me. Anyplace, Anytime cowboy."
"We can finish it here," said Mullin, a former mixed martial arts fighter.
"OK that's fine, perfect," O'Brien replied.
"You wanna do it now?" Mullin shot back.
"I'd love to do it right now," O'Brien replied.
"Well stand your butt up then," Mullin replied - to which O'Brien echoed, "You stand your butt up!"
As the two men stood their butts up, Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-VT) put the kebash on the squabble. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “The people who keep describing those of using relying solely on speech ‘prone to violence’ are making threats of violence. What a time to be alive!
First there is this story of a sitting US Senator challenging a union president to a literal fight. It’s hilarious that Crazy Bernie is the peacemaker here, and the video is must watch.
Also Tuesday, disgraced former speaker Kevin McCarthy was accused of elbowing Rep Tim Burchett (R-TN) in the kidneys in retaliation for voting to oust him as speaker. McCarthy claims it was a crowded situation and unintentional.
Who saw violence in the Capitol between elected officials coming this week? And are any of these legislators going to be investigated for violence in the Capitol? That was rhetorical, of course. The hypocrisy is on full display and the Congress is a clown show.” —
Nolte: Disney’s ‘The Marvels’ Bombs with Worst MCU Opening Ever
The Disney Grooming Syndicate’s The Marvels is now a certified disaster, with an opening weekend predicted between $47 million and $55 million, according to the left-wing Deadline.
Even if The Marvels hits that high water mark of $55 million, it will still rank as the worst opening of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which officially launched 33 movies ago in 2008 with Iron Man. Prior to The Marvels, 2008’s The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton (remember that?) earned the MCU’s worst opening weekend at $55.4 million.
Could The Marvels have legs? Doubtful. The die-hard turned out Friday night; the Marvel fanatics and The Marvels still earned a very weak B Cinemascore. That does not bode well for the word-of-mouth advertising and repeat business necessary to create a box office hit.
The once untouchable MCU, a franchise that delivered $30 billion in worldwide box office dollars from 30 movies, a franchise more successful than any in history, the cinematic golden goose of all cinematic golden geese, has been woke-raped into a straight-up disaster. — Breitbart
Our Take: “Again, for many in the Info War, the MCU, Disney and most of Hollywood entertainment and pop culture are things to be avoided, but there's no denying these properties hold massive sway within the Collective Mind of American Society.
The Marvels flopping at the box office is one of the biggest 'market' wins the Culture War has seen since 2016, and represents a true sea change moment in both alternative and mainstream discourse around the wokening.
Disney isn't the only show in town, but it IS the biggest, and has run some of the most male-centric, male-supported franchises into the ground with a mix of Marxist programming and sheer incompetence.
South Park was only the beginning. Open season has been declared on the communist arm of the Entertainment Industrial Complex, and there's no putting that genie back in the bottle.
Whether these IPs (and the companies that hold them,) survive the Great Awakening remains to be seen, but the lessons learned via their failures will echo.” —

CPI Unexpectedly Misses Across The Board, Core Inflation Lowest In Over 2 Years
Following two months of hotter than expected prints (driven by surging energy prices and healthcare methodology changes), the October CPI print was expected to slow materially from the previous month (from 3.7% to 3.3% on headline) even if core was expected to remain unchanged at 4.1%. What we got, however, was a whopper, with CPI missing across the board with both headline and core prints coming in below expectations on both a sequential and annual basis.
Starting with the headline CPI, it came in at 3.2%, below the 3.3% expected, while MoM CPI also missed expectations, printing unchanged (0.0%), below the consensus of a 0.1% print, and sharply below last month's 0.4% print.
A similar picture emerged on core CPI, where the October MoM print was 0.2%, below the 0.3% consensus estimate and down from the 0.3% increase in Sept, while YoY managed to drop from 4.1% to 4.0% missing expectations of an unchanged print, and the lowest since Sept 2021! — ZeroHedge
A man was arrested in the death of a hockey player whose neck was cut with a skate blade during a game
Police in England arrested a man Tuesday on suspicion of manslaughter in the death of American ice hockey player Adam Johnson, whose neck was cut by a skate during a game.
Johnson, 29, was playing for the Nottingham Panthers against the Sheffield Steelers on Oct. 28 when he was struck by an opponent’s skate blade in the Elite Ice Hockey League game at Sheffield’s home arena.
South Yorkshire Police did not name the suspect or provide his age. He was in police custody.
Matt Petgrave, 31, who plays for Sheffield, was the other player involved in the grisly incident that reverberated around the hockey community and led to moments of silence in the NHL.
Video of the incident shows Johnson skating with the puck toward the Steelers net. Petgrave skates toward Johnson and collides with another Panthers player. Petgrave’s left skate kicks up as he begins to fall and the blade hits Johnson in the neck. — AP News
A Trump-Tucker ticket?
A Trump Tucker ticket for the presidency in 2024. Just imagine it.
Wow. Oh my goodness. Praise the Lord. Fantastic. Our prayers are answered.
Could it actual happen? The dream ticket is not as far-fetched as previously thought.
A Trump Tucker (T2) presidential ticket is beginning to look like a real possibility. A T2 ticket would be putting the Make America Great Again movement and the America First alliance on steroids.
As opposed to being a "balanced ticket," it would be a "double down" on an American exceptionalism ticket.
A Trump-Tucker ticket would certainly electrify and energize a base already loaded for bear. A T2 ticket would tell the American citizen, and put the globalist elites, and the Deep State hooligans on notice, that we are right, we are unashamed, we will not be intimated, and we will not apologize. A Trump-Tucker ticket might possibly be the ticket that saves our democratic republic. A T2 ticket might be the platform that holds off the communists/deep state/globalist elites.
A T2 presidency might be the answer to putting the BLM and Antifa criminals in jail. A Trump-Tucker administration might be the only hope for securing the First and Second amendments. An unashamed and without apology Trump-Tucker ticket might just be the political platform and personalities that save the American empire from the dustpan of history. — American Thinker

It does seem likely to me that Tucker is on Trump’s VP list. Reading the above excerpt didn’t sway me one way or the other…but then I took the time to read the entire American Thinker article by Andrew W. Coy and wow, the energy, the persuasion behind his T2 pitch is very enjoyable, maybe contagious!
Ultimately, I completely trust Trump’s VP pick. First time, Trump was still exploring who his friends / enemies were. Now he knows for sure! Can’t wait for that announcement!! ❤️🇺🇸
