I well remember a lecture series by Newt Gingrich to the Heritage Foundation, followed up by his book "Understanding Trump". According to Newt, Trump was like a table w/ 4 legs: 1. Anti-left; 2. Anti-stupid; 3. Anti-political correctness and 4. Pro-American. Trump would move all over the surface of that table within those 4 foundational legs, in any fashion, often at great speed from one to another place. And the way he moved kept those who did not understand him off guard and highly confused....unable to cope with Trump.
When I read "The Art of the Deal" in summer, 2016, I was struck by many things, but especially about how he contemplated his business ventures in NYC of all places. He stated he always had 4-5 plans for how to get to his goal.
In their arrogance and rush to self-congratulations as the smartest in the room, the left has not bothered themselves with understanding Donald John Trump. They just consign him to "moronic buffoon" and move on to their next, soon-to-fail, ploy to destroy him. Their next journey into the "Trump Quicksand".
Finally, in "The Art of the Comeback" we learn of Atlantic City. He suggested the FBI put agents into the casinos as staff were being hired. We have been told by an alphabet letter, that we are watching a movie. Is the title, "The Sting", by DJT?

Yes, DJT and his crew are adherents to Sun Tzu. The opposition hasn't the intelligence nor discipline to use these tactics so they envelop themselves in a cocoon of Machiavellian philosophy about the ruthlessness of power.
It is strong but brittle and fractures under pressure. This explains the chaos and panic you see them display on a daily basis.

While reading, all I could think about was the many feints and attacks, the unexpected revelations and twists, and especially the deceptions that make everything murky so the enemy hasn’t a clue about what has just emerged. This definitely exposes the vulnerabilities of the enemy playbook as it never changes and it seems the players aren’t aware of how vulnerable they actually are. I can see why it’s still used nearly 2200 years later!
Thank you for doing this series. Sun Tzu has been referenced so much since Trump began his campaign in 2015. Not being familiar with his work I've been hoping someone would do a "Sun Tzu for Dummies"-type primer to explain it all. Looks like you got the commission.
