Well, I lived in and near the Canadian Rockies for almost 20 years... so I do have some familiarity there.
As for the choice of the Matterhorn, it might be as simple as choosing an attractive file photo to e-brush in the Canadian flag and Trump headshot. Or there may be something more to it. Trump, after all, never does anything unintentional.
As to what the meaning of that particular shot might be, I'm afraid I do not know. I will put it into the box 'awaiting further insight.' If it is indeed significant, I'm sure that we will know, when the time comes.
