GBPH in what is likely an understatement as regards the implications: "God is at work. And He works through the agency of men. Whatever we are about to witness will likely be talked about for centuries, for better or for worse. Pray for the strength of honorable men."

Ashe: "The government is looking for accountability, and they have many scapegoats to choose from.”

I would only suggest that what the government is looking for is the assignment of accountability...but maybe I am feeling a bit cynical this morning.

PS - The nation of Israel, the sons of Jacob (according to the covenant with YHVH the Almighty, that they ratified three times after leaving Egypt) were offered to be a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and His possession; were told that God owns all of the land - everywhere - as the Creator and Lord; and that their possession of it (the land promised to Abram some 430 years prior to their deliverance) as their inheritance, was contingent on their choices.

God, choosing to make us in His Image and Likeness, allows (even requires) us to choose - but choices only matter because of the consequences. It was true for them in 1533 BC as it is for them in 2024 AD and as it is for each of us always.

But our real enemy remains "behind the scenes" and for battling it and its army (as we are told Michael will "soon") we have both prayer and the Word of God...and we know that, in time, we will overcome!

PPS - I keep reading that the judge has denied Trump's attendance of Barron's graduation. Epoch Times says this: "Trump’s lawyers have requested that the trial not be held on May 17 so that the former president may attend his son Barron’s high school graduation. A Trump lawyer has also requested the trial not be held June 3 so that he could attend his own son’s graduation. "Justice Merchan said he was not prepared to rule on either request, but that if the trial proceeds as planned he’s willing to adjourn for one or both days. “It really depends on how we’re doing on time and where we are in the trial,” Justice Merchan said.

Was there an update I missed?

Regarding my PS above - I meant to insert: everything I know (and, I believe, that can be known) about the historic covenants between our Creator and any and all of mankind - from Noah on - must be viewed through the finished work of Jesus - who did not abolish a line or serif of any letter - but fulfilled it all on our behalf. As far as God is concerned (we are told), ancestry and social status and gender do not divide us. History helps to encourage and edify, but it should not be used by anyone to facilitate prejudice or animosity. God, for His part, loves all of His creation!
