The reviewer began his presentation with the lament that various conservatives on Substack had decided, unfortunately and predictably - in his mind - to view Oppenheimer (the man and the film) through a “political” lens.
His opinion is that this “pedestrian” political approach does a disservice to the magisterial work which Nolan has created for the benefit of mankind.
It also unjustly discounts Oppenheimer’s innate morality for being upset about creating the nuclear monster given that the world now confronts World War 3 (his words).
I found this both hilarious and sad.
Soi-disant “moderate middle” (ie soft-left quasi-intellectuals) middle brows have suddenly discovered that politicizing works of art is wrong, and now have the temerity to accuse the right of politicizing the regime’s cultural gifts to humanity.
This, after spending the past 6 years politicizing every waking moment of public discourse with nothing but regime propaganda and virulently toxic vilification of anyone not in lockstep with the cabal playbook.

As a retired scientist let me say that I definitely don't think I know everything. The intelligent are often not wise, but seem to be given to utopian fantasies. Most scientists live in an artificial environment divorced from the real world. I wrote a couple of short substack essays that one may find relevant.

Only by practicing (His Teachings) we are able to get the understanding, who God is.

I'm not sure "all nukes" are fake but there is overwhelming evidence that they were in the '40.s.
